Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Teddy , 8, amiable and very pleasant and a sweet little gentleman, needs someone to love.  He is a Yorkshire Terrier, good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Teddy was at another shelter that asked us to rescue him and provide dental care for his broken tooth. (We provided this care for him and he healed well.)  Teddy is very social and loves bonding with people.

Foster heroes urgently needed please for Chrysantha & her 8 newborn puppies, plus 20 rescued motherless kittens! If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person. Chrysantha ("golden flower") and her pups were rescued from another shelter. She is an exceptional mother and counts and kisses her babies every few minutes to make sure all are thriving. Chrysantha is a beautiful soul, a Kelpie & Queensland Heeler mix, medium-size, about 3 years of age. Teddy and his brother, just 2 weeks of age, were found under a warehouse. They need bottle-feeding every few hours. Claire and her siblings were found wandering outdoors without a mother. They are about 6 weeks of age and eating on their own. Abby Teddy Tina Tommy Abby , Teddy , Tina , and Tommy love to chase the laser pointer.  They have been well-socialized with cats, dogs, and people in a wonderful foster home since their rescue.  The babies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.

Teddy would love to bless you with his unconditional love and loyalty.   He is a medium/large-size Heinz 57 -- an attractive blend of many breeds -- about 2-3 years of age, a neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Teddy is mellow in temperament, cautious with strangers, and very warm-hear ted with people he knows.  He is well-behaved on a leash and in a car, and he loves stuffed animals and playing ball. Teddy is fine with most dogs, but not compatible with cats or rabbits.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing his sweet spirit so beautifully in this portrait.

There is so much to love about Teddy .  He is playful, smart, and inquisitive, and when you talk with him he looks at you earnestly so that he can try to understand every word.  Teddy is a young Shepherd & Retriever mix with gorgeous golden brown coloring, neutered, 1 year of age, good with cats and dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Teddy is understandably nervous about cars.  He was witnessed being thrown from a moving car in front of a business.  We will loan his adopter a crate so he can be taken home safely and comfortably.

Update: Teddy was adopted on December 6th! Teddy was discovered at a government-funded shelter by a neighbor who recognized him.  This neighbor contacted his owner so that he could be reclaimed and saved. But the days went by, and Teddy was still anxiously waiting there at that shelter for people who were never going to come for him.  We were contacted and arrangements were made to get Teddy into the safety of Nevada SPCA. Teddy debuts for adoption today.  We seek a loving, committed, forever home home for him.  He should never have to worry again that the people he loves most in the world may be too inconvenienced to retrieve him and have his life put in jeopardy. He is a cute Cairn Terrier mix with a sunny nature, a neutered male about 3 years young.  He is compatible with other dogs and enjoys kind people very much.  Please plan on regular brushing and grooming care.

Teddy is a calm, loving boy with soulful eyes. He likes going for walks, playing with a wide variety of toys, and cuddling with you. Teddy is a handsome Shepherd mix, full of warmth and goodwill.  He is neutered, about 6 years of age, and reportedly housetrained and good with dogs and mature kids. He needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship. Teddy was diagnosed with arthritis in his hips and he does not like them being touched.  Glucosamine seems to be helping, so we recommend consulting with your veterinarian about keeping him on this. Teddy would love to meet you.  Please ask for him by name when you visit.

Update: Teddy was adopted on October 31st! Teddy is a precious young boy with a heart of gold and an endearing nature. He is an apricot Toy Poodle mix, neutered, about 3 years of age. Teddy is good with other sweet dogs, and he is reportedly fine with kind teenagers. Please plan on regular grooming and hygiene and budget extra accordingly. He apparently lived on an outside patio during the days, so he will probably need your patience and guidance (and a stable routine) to complete housetraining.
