Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

These baby boys melt hearts and love being spoiled.  Their foster family said the boys are perfectly aware of how cute they are and take as much advantage as they can with getting into mischief! Buttercup & Honeybee are brothers, bonded for life, Yorkshire & Silky Terrier mixes, 4 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today (Saturday) at 2pm at Nevada SPCA . The boys are compatible with other dogs, partially housetrained, and need your budgeting for regular professional grooming (approximately four times per year).  Due to the intensity of their bond, they need to be adopted together and remain together forever.  They were surrendered by their previous owner ("not enough time" for them).

Channing , desperate for kindness and understanding, must only see the best of human nature from now on. He needs to know what it feels like to be loved. Channing is a Silky Terrier & Tibetan Terrier mix, 5 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his severe neglect and abuse.    We shaved Channing's coat to help give him a fresh start. He no longer hangs his head to the ground and some shine for hope is coming into his eyes.

Princess beams when you tell her she's a sweetheart.  She is a Yorkshire Terrier & Silky Terrier mix, 8 years of age and spayed, good with cats and dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Princess needed us when her previous owner went into hospice.

Puchi wants to know who he is supposed to love.  He is a young and wonderfully sweet boy, a blend of Powder Puff, Silky Terrier, and Yorkshire Terrier, 1 year of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Puchi was surrendered by his previous owner due to financial hardship.

Dallas longs to know what being loved and adored feels like.  He is a young and social boy, a blend of Silky Terrier & Havanese, neutered, housetrained, good with dogs and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Dallas was surrendered by his previous owner who had "no time" for him.  Please visit and ask for Dallas by name.

Jethro wants to be liked and accepted. When he knows you are pleased with him, his stub tail wiggles 100 miles per hour and he bounces in joy by your legs.    Jethro is a unique, exceptionally handsome boy, perhaps a blend of Silky Terrier and Tibetan Terrier, 5 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Jethro was found in the streets with no sign of responsible ownership (no microchip ID, no ID tag, and not neutered). Please share his picture and help him find a responsible, loving forever home.

Update: Rosie was adopted on February 14th! Rosie is the most beautiful little firecracker. She is an excitable girl, always on the go, with a fun and dynamic personality.  Adopt her for a lifetime of cheerful smiles. Rosie is a lovely Silky Terrier mix, spayed, 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She delights in bonding with people and other friendly dogs .  Please plan on regular professional grooming care to keep her looking and feeling good. We rescued Rosie from a government-funded shelter that ran out of space.

Update: Peanut was adopted on November 5th! Peanut is 100% sunshine, greeting everyone joyfully with a smile and a wagging tail.  And we love her expressive eyes and ears. She is a gorgeous Silky Terrier with cream coloring, spayed, about 2 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued her from another shelter that ran out of space to keep her.  So while background information is limited, we do know she adores other dogs like she does people, and she is reportedly housetrained and fine with older, kind children. Peanut needs regular grooming care, so please plan and budget extra accordingly.

Update: Brandon was adopted on October 29th! Brandon is obviously very striking on the outside, but he is beautiful on the inside too. He is a well behaved, sweet Silky Terrier, neutered, about 3 years young, debuting for adoption today. Besides getting along well with other friendly dogs, Brandon is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with kind, older children. Please budget extra for regular professional grooming care.   This varies with each dog, but planning on roughly quarterly grooming will help keep him clean, feeling good, and looking terrific. Silky Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. Brandon was surrendered to us by his previous owner because he "barks".

Update: Lucky was adopted on October 23rd! Lucky is ready to dazzle and provide you with a lifetime of unconditional love. He is excitable and mischievous, enjoying sneaking you kisses when least expected. Lucky is Silky Terrier puppy debuting for adoption today.  He is neutered and approximately 8 months of age.  He is good with other friendly dogs and needs periodic professional grooming care. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.  Silky Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. Lucky was given to us by his previous owner who said she had "no space" for him.

Update: Boston & Sydney were adopted on January 21st! Boston & Sydney are strongly bonded girls, soul-mates, with cheerful dispositions. Boston is a Cairn Terrier mix and Sydney is a Silky Terrier.  Both are spayed, approximately 8 years of age, and need regular professional grooming care. We rescued these girls after they were dumped at a local veterinary clinic and had nowhere to go. Boston & Sydney love people, but they are choosy about which other dogs they will accept.  As always with an adoption, be sure to bring your dog(s) to meet them in our courtyard to ensure they get along. Separating the girls causes them distress.  They need to remain together forever.

Update: Don Juan was adopted on August 28th! Don Juan is indeed a loverboy. He cherishes your attention and he likes giving kisses. Don Juan is most likely a Yorkshire Terrier & Silky Terrier mix. He is neutered and just a year of age. He is compatible with other dogs and needs regular professional grooming care. At the time of rescue by a good Samaritan he was in a severely neglected condition. Please adopt him and shower him with adoration so that he never again feels unwanted or unappreciated. Don Juan debuts for adoption today.

Update: Zachary was adopted on July 30th! Zachary wants and needs lots of your attention, reassurance, and adoration. He is an engaging, chatty boy who sometimes stands on his hind legs. Zachary is a Silky Terrier & Schnauzer mix, neutered male, about 4 years of age. He is good with other sweet and friendly dogs, and needs regular brushing and grooming care. We rescued Zachary from another shelter so we do not have much background information on him. Zachary debuts for adoption today.

Update: Petey was adopted on May 31st! Sensitive little Petey will do best in a quieter, attentive home. He is an expressive, humble, super sweet boy who just wants to be loved and adored. Petey is a Silky Terrier, neutered male, approximately 5 years of age. We rescued Petey from another shelter. He enjoys other good-natured dogs. Please plan on regular grooming care for him and budget extra accordingly. Silky Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

Update: Rascal was adopted on November 27th! Rascal is an adorable little trooper, playful and very good-natured. He is a Silky Terrier, neutered male, about 4 years of age, and he debuts for adoption today. Rascal needed us due to his owners' financial collapse. He enjoys other dogs and may do best in a home with another dog (or dogs). Rascal needs regular grooming care, which varies with each individual but plan for at least quarterly sessions with a professional groomer and budget accordingly. Rascal may need your patience and guidance (and a stable routine) to complete housetraining. He reportedly has the basic concept down, but has occasional accidents in the house. Addendum: Rascal requires an adult-only home. It is a strict condition of his adoption that he has no access whatsoever to toddlers or young children.

Update: Nickles was adopted on October 24th! Nickles is a priceless, super cute youngster who can melt your heart with his sweet expressions. He is a Silky Terrier, neutered male, about 2 years of age. We rescued Nickles from another shelter, so we do not have much background information on him. However, we know he enjoys other friendly dogs and requires regular grooming care (so be sure to budget extra accordingly). Nickles debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
