Corky

Image
Corky , 10, youthful in spirit, shines with good cheer for children and adults he meets.    He is a Puggle, housetrained, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Corky reportedly needs to be the only dog in the home. He was surrendered by his previous owner who moved to another state for extensive medical treatment. She mentioned that the scarring on his face and legs was from abuse in another home early in his life, which included efforts to duct-tape Corky's mouth shut. In the years following the cruelty Corky learned to trust people, especially kids.

Update: Lulu was adopted on December 23rd! Rich with devotion, Lulu is ready to be a loyal, lifelong companion for someone willing and able to return her unconditional love. She is a small Puggle (Pug & Beagle mix), spayed girl, about 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Her previous owner left her at a veterinary clinic after finding out that she had bladder stones, unwilling and/or unable to give her the care she needed to get the stones removed and end the excruciating pain.  The clinic contacted us and asked us to please consider saving this sweet girl who otherwise had little hope. We had to act very quickly.  Fortunately, one of our volunteers generously stepped forward to help with her advanced surgery to remove the stones. Lulu has been healing well from the surgery and she is now ready for adoption.  For life, she is on a special diet (Science Diet c/d) to reduce the chances that any further stones will develop. We believe Lulu will do b...

We want to stay together forever.

Update: Woobah was adopted on April 5th! Woobah is a very jolly puppy who adores playing with other friendly dogs. He is a Puggle (Pug & Beagle mix), neutered male, approximately 7 months of age. Woobah needed us when his previous owners moved away. But this little angel is a keeper! He is fun, very social, sweet, and warm-natured. Woobah is reportedly already housetrained and crate-trained, and fine with older, mature kids. He has special needs due to a birth defect with his malformed hip joints and sockets in his back legs, but he can lead a rich, full life. We had his back legs evaluated at an advanced veterinary care facility. The hip joints and sockets cannot be repaired, but he can walk and run fairly well, despite wobbly back legs which sometimes seem out of sync with his front legs. Woobah debuts for adoption today. Please open your heart to this exceptional youngster and let him bless you with his unconditional love.

My family guessed wrong and I lost my home because of it.

Update: Byron was adopted on December 26th! Byron is a suave, cute, and friendly little boy. He is a Puggle (Pug & Beagle mix), neutered male, about 2 years of age. Byron , who debuts for adoption today, enjoys other sweet dogs. He will need your patience and good guidance to learn to adjust to living predominantly indoors as a cherished member of the family. Byron was surrendered to us because his previous owners believed he had eaten a bird and had a bone stuck in his throat. We rushed him into emergency medical care, but it turns out he just had a simple case of kennel cough. We had him treated and he made a strong recovery. He seems to have a sensitive throat, so a harness is preferable to a collar.
