Petey , with a fun-loving spirit and outgoing personality, is irresistible and ready to devote himself to adoring you forever.  He is a Bull Terrier mix (believed to be 75% Bull Terrier), just under 2 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPC A.  Petey may be compatible with cats and dogs, but he is too strong-willed to be around young children.  He needed us due to his previous owners' financial hardship.

Deep in the desert, miles from any small towns, two men spotted Petey . He was terrified and running with nowhere to go. The men determined to catch and save him. It took an hour and they eventually won his trust and brought him to safety. Petey is an exceptionally gentle Cocker Spaniel & Toy mix, 6 years of age, good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Update 2: Petey was adopted on July 6th! Update: Big Red, George, and Sleepy were adopted on July 3rd! Big Red and Petey (pictured here), and their brothers Sleepy and George (pictured on Nevada SPCA's main web site at www.nevadaspca.org ) are attractive, friendly, loving puppies debuting for adoption today. The boys were raised and socialized in a compassionate foster home. Their mother (Recess), rescued abandoned and pregnant in a schoolyard, and their sisters (Bella, Mia, and Wynonna) have also been featured on this site. The boys are Beagle mixes, neutered, 3 months of age. They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong love and companionship.

Update: Petey was adopted on May 31st! Sensitive little Petey will do best in a quieter, attentive home. He is an expressive, humble, super sweet boy who just wants to be loved and adored. Petey is a Silky Terrier, neutered male, approximately 5 years of age. We rescued Petey from another shelter. He enjoys other good-natured dogs. Please plan on regular grooming care for him and budget extra accordingly. Silky Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

Update: Petey was adopted on November 23rd! Petey did not stand much of a chance on the streets. And without tags, or a microchip ID, or even being neutered - three of the most important pillars of responsible pet ownership - it was clear he had been thrown away intentionally. Fortunately, he made his way to us before danger could befall him. He is now neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and debuting for adoption today. Petey is a Toy & Terrier mix (perhaps Jack Russell Terrier mix), about 5 months of age. We expect him to remain small in size. Petey enjoys other dogs. He is shy with new people, but warm-hearted with those he trusts.
