Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Loki beams with hope and good cheer.    He believes in people with all of his heart and wants someone to love. Loki is young at heart at 12 years of age, a Papillon & Toy mix, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He is good with dogs and housetrained (pads).    Loki needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.

Kaili is an exceptionally devoted girl, very content to be cradled in your arms as she looks up into your eyes lovingly.  She is an English Toy Spaniel & Papillon mix, about 4 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Kaili is good with other dogs and reportedly housetrained.  She needed us when her previous owner passed away and she had nowhere safe to go.

Update 3: Spike was adopted on October 13th! Update 2: Gizmo and Mowgli were adopted on October 4th!  Update: Furbie was adopted on October 2nd! Grace's Angels debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Spike (left) and his sisters Gizmo and Furbie just could not be any cuter.  These tiny puppies are exceptionally sweet and loving, friendly, and adventurous. Grace , aptly named for her gentle nature, a beautiful blend of Chihuahua and Shih-Tzu and Papillon, had been abandoned by her previous owner, left behind in an apartment that had no furniture or air-conditioning -- and this was in the very hot month of July! Further, Grace was trying to keep her four hungry puppies alive too.  At the time of rescue, her babies were only 2 weeks of age. All kennels were full here at the headquarters, so we made a comfortable place for Grace and her babies in the director's office. Grace proved to be a terrific mother and we carefully socialized her puppies with cats ...

Update: Matt was adopted on October 2nd! Matt adores people and other dogs. We have endless compliments for him and his wonderful outlook on life.  He is fun-loving and affectionate, playful and endearing. Like his father, Russell, who was also featured on this site (earlier this month), Matt was born without front legs.  He moves surprisingly well for short distances and stands on his hind legs occasionally. Besides a very social home, with an experienced, patient owner, Matt needs someone who can budget properly to help him get fitted for a wheel-cart once he grows to adult size. We expect Matt to remain small.  His father is a handsome Jack Russell Terrier mix and his mother, Leanna (also available for adoption), is a Papillon mix.  Matt is neutered, about 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. Like all puppies, Matt needs someone who can commit to him for his entire life, as well as carefully puppy-proof the home and yard for his safety...

Update: Hurley was adopted on August 19th! Hurley is a very shy boy with a flamboyant appearance. He is a Papillon, neutered, 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today. He is well-behaved too. We know he is fine with other sweet dogs, and he is reportedly housetrained and compatible with mature, older kids. We believe Hurley will do best in a gentle home. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him. Hurley needed us when his previous owner moved away without him. Please visit and ask for Hurley by name.

Update: Bebe was adopted on July 5th! We rescued Bebe from another shelter, so we do not have much background information on her. But what is clear is that Bebe is a shy, very sweet girl with a gentle spirit. Bebe is a beautiful Papillon mix, spayed, just 2 years of age. She enjoys other calm dogs and needs regular grooming care. Bebe debuts for adoption today. We believe she will do best in a quieter home.

Update: Anita was adopted on July 3rd! Looking at Anita's bright, happy face brings a smile every time. She is a bubbly, sweet, pretty little girl and she debuts for adoption today. Anita is most likely a Papillon & small Spaniel mix. She is spayed and about 3 years young. We rescued Anita from another shelter, so we do not have much background information on her. But we do know she enjoys other friendly dogs and needs regular grooming care. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask to meet Anita by name.

Bear is a precious little lovebug, affectionate and full of devotion. He is most likely a Longhair Chihuahua & Papillon mix. He is neutered, about 6 years of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Besides having a loving nature, Bear is well-behaved, compatible with cats and dogs and kind children. Bear is also reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) & crate-trained. He needed us because his previous owner had "no time for him". Please meet and adopt this sweetheart today. He carries sunshine and good cheer with him everywhere he goes.

Update: Astro was adopted on April 1st! This regal boy has been recovering magnificently with us. At the time of rescue Astro was emaciated from starvation and in very poor condition due to malnutrition. He had been abandoned on the streets, where he was completely incapable of surviving on his own. Thanks to his inspiring progress, he is now neutered and ready for adoption today. Astro is a super cute Papillon mix, about 2 years young. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. He enjoys other good-natured dogs and needs regular grooming care. Please adopt this sweetheart and make sure he never knows hunger again.

Update: Emilie was adopted on January 16th! Emilie is a darling, bashful youngster, who is particularly timid around men. She is a Papillon (mix), spayed female, about one year of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Besides being good with other dogs, Emilie is compatible with cats and mature, older children. Emilie may need your patience and guidance to complete housetraining. Reportedly, she previously lived mainly in a kennel, which is unacceptable. Please be sure to plan on regular grooming care and budget extra accordingly.

Update: Cinnamon was adopted on January 14th! Though completely innocent of doing anything wrong, there are countless victims, like Cinnamon , who are kicked out of their families when their owner becomes pregnant or has a new baby. Sadly, this is despite growing efforts from veterinarians, rescue organizations, and others who have tried to help people introduce their companion animals to babies and toddlers. Cinnamon is an adorable Longhair Chihuahua & Papillon mix, spayed female, about 6 years of age. She loves to cuddle and she is reportedly fine with kind, gentle children. Cinnamon is partially housetrained (with pee pads), so she may need your patience and guidance to learn to use a doggie door or eliminate in the backyard or on walks. Cinnamon debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Bebe is a bashful, sensitive puppy with a very loving nature. She is a unique Heinz 57 with Papillon & Toy, and perhaps with Terrier too. We expect her to remain small in size. She is spayed and about 5 months of age. Bebe needed us because the child in her previous home was too rough with her. She is good with other dogs, and reportedly compatible with cats too. Please plan on regular grooming care and budget extra accordingly. Bebe debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. This sweetheart needs a gentle home.

Update: Shesa was adopted on November 6th! Shesa's gorgeous looks are matched by her sunny demeanor and temperament. Like her brother, Bear Baby (who is also featured on this site) , she is reportedly 3/4 Pomeranian and 1/4 Papillon, and lost her home because her owner had "too many dogs." Shesa is spayed, just under a year of age, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Also, like her brother, Shesa is housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with dogs and cats and kind children. We highly recommend professional grooming, approximately quarterly (though the timing varies with each individual), so please budget extra accordingly.

Update: Bear Baby was adopted on November 9th! Bear Baby , still a puppy at 11 months of age, is a very good-natured boy with dazzling looks. He is reportedly 3/4 Pomeranian and 1/4 Papillon. He needed us because his owner said he had "too many dogs." Bear Baby is now neutered and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. This youngster has a very long list of tremendous qualities. For starters, he is compatible with other dogs, and reportedly compatible with cats and older, mature children. He is also housetrained (with a doggie door) & crate-trained. You can ask for Bear Baby by name at the front desk of the Nevada SPCA headquarters and we will bring him to the lobby to meet you.

Update: Rosie & Rocco were adopted on July 8th! Rosie & Rocco are siblings who have forged a very strong bond. So they're not just sister and brother, they are soul-mates, so keeping them together forever is a necessity. They are beautiful Papillons, spayed and neutered, just under four years of age. They debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Rosie & Rocco are fine with other sweet dogs, as well as with mature, gentle children. They require regular grooming care, so please be sure to budget extra accordingly. Papillon knowledge and/or experience is preferred. They needed us for rescue when their owner's home foreclosed and the family was split apart.
