Oliver

Image
Oliver is a spunky baby boy who can play baseball with his toys for hours, batting them around in the air and catching them before they hit the floor.  He is a super cute orange cream tabby kitten, 3 months of age and neutered, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Oliver has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home since his rescue from the streets.

Oliver wants everyone around him to be as happy as he is.  He is a charismatic youngster, terrific at cuddling, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Oliver is a German Shepherd & Siberian Husky mix, 2 years of age, neutered, and compatible with other large and friendly dogs.  We rescued him in the nick of time from another shelter.

You saved me with only minutes to spare!

Oliver is a good-natured, brilliant youngster who so longs to feel that he belongs to someone who adores him.  He is a handsome Border Collie & Australian Shepherd mix, 2 years young, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Oliver is shy with new people and in new situations, but devoted to those he knows and trusts.  We rescued this sweet boy from another shelter just in the nick of time!  Please ask for Oliver by name when you arrive.  Border Collie or Shepherd knowledge is preferred for his adoption.

Can I take catnaps on your lap?

Update: Oliver was adopted on January 17th! Oliver is peppy and spunky, an athletic boy with great curiosity. But when it is time to relax and snuggle, he calms down beautifully.  He loves to climb up on you for short naps while you are reading or watching TV. Oliver is a handsome red tabby with white, shorthair, neutered male, approximately 2 years young. He had apparently been abandoned in a feral cat colony, but it was apparent this boy was domesticated and craved loving attention.  As with all of our rescued cats, we seek an indoor-only home for him so that he never again has to endure the dangers and loneliness of outdoor living. Please ask for Oliver by name in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

I need an adult-only home please.

Update: Oliver was adopted on July 7th! Oliver is a cheerful, good-looking boy, ready to shine in an experienced home. He is bright-eyed, eager, and warm hearted with those he knows and trusts. But Oliver is wary and anxious around strangers and children, so he is seeking a quieter, mature lifestyle. Oliver is most likely a Lhasa Apso & Maltese mix. He is neutered, 4 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. He is reportedly housetrained and compatible with cats and dogs. Oliver needed us when his previous owner took a traveling job. Please plan on regular grooming care and supply him with animal-safe stuffed animals for playtime.

I could not understand why he hit me.

Update: Olive was adopted on October 22nd! Olive yearns for the tender touch of a calm-natured person to reassure her. She is quite concerned with new people, especially men, wondering whether they may strike her, so she dodges your hand until trust is established. With a loving, patient owner and in a home with a stable routine, she will conquer past demons and bloom gorgeously. Olive is most likely a Tibetan Terrier mix, perhaps with Lhasa Apso. She is spayed and approximately 6 years of age. We rescued her from another shelter when she ran out of time there. Olive may adjust best if there is another dog in the home to guide and console her. She would be a magnificent little sister if your dog enjoys taking someone under his or her wing. Olive debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Can I plead with you to consider looking at rats in a new way?

Exceptionally gentle and personable, Tony challenges those with even the most close-minded aversion to rats to reconsider their perspectives. He beams with curiosity and playfulness. At 2 years of age, Tony is already a senior. But living such brief lives -- rats generally live up to 3 years -- rats perhaps have an important lesson for all of us: Every day is precious. Tony is a social boy and he has spent his entire life with his brother, Oliver. Please adopt them together so that they can have the most joy and companionship possible each day. Tony and Oliver are available for adoption today. You can ask for them at the front desk of Nevada SPCA's headquarters.
