Albert likes cuddling with soft-spoken, gentle people who share words of comfort and praise.  He is a bashful Miniature Schnauzer, 4 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Albert was found abandoned and injured. His ear wound required sutures and other veterinary care (and the cause of the trauma is unknown).  Please help us find Albert a peaceful, loving forever home.

Luke is traumatized by the death of his previous owner. His whole world has changed and he doesn't understand. He is improving a little bit each day and accepting care. Sammy , 14, is surprisingly peppy, especially in his quest to be at your side, following you from room-to-room devotedly. He is an incredibly endearing Miniature Schnauzer mix, neutered, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Sammy is humble and unassuming, but just asks that he always has a person or dog to be with so he never feels lonely. Please share and help find a hero for Sammy .

Brady is so light-hearted and agile we keep forgetting that he's not a puppy and doesn't have four legs. He is terrific with cats, dogs, and kids, plus housetrained too. Brady is a Wirehaired Fox Terrier & Miniature Schnauzer mix, 5 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He adjusted to only one hind leg long ago (and we don't know what happened). Brady's previous owner was reportedly very ill and he was being neglected. We hope Brady never loses his puppy-like innocence.

You'll be smiling the second you meet this jovial, engaging youngster!  Wolfy has unique cuteness -- a volunteer mentioned he is like a little polar bear with a curly-Q tail -- perhaps a mix of Tibetan Terrier & Miniature Schnauzer.  Wolfy is 1 year of age, neutered, good with other dogs, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help.  Wolfy apparently became homeless due to chewing a stairway rail.  (But chewing is natural and necessary, especially at this age, so the key is directing his chewing onto appropriate toys.)

Missy was looking up at this morning for reassurance, wondering if her bath and haircut made her look okay.  At the time of rescue she was filthy (having lived solely outdoors in the dust) and matted, so there was no telling when she had last been cleaned.  We told Missy everyone can now see how beautiful she is and that a new home would surely be hers very soon.  We believe she is a Miniature Schnauzer & Lhasa-Poo mix, about 6 years of age, and great with other dogs.  Missy is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Pompadour is a baby boy on the rebound, a sweetheart puppy who is beginning to understand that better days are ahead. He was found on the streets of Las Vegas in poor condition with no sign of responsible ownership. But Pompadour is now neutered, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and eating premium probiotic food. He is a Cairn Terrier & Miniature Schnauzer mix puppy with a cute blue sunburst in his right eye, about 6 months of age, good with other dogs, and ready for for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and plan on regular professional grooming.

Sophie is an elegant and graceful little lady debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Miniature Schnauzer, about 9 years of age, spayed, and reportedly housetrained and crate-trained, and compatible with cats & children & dogs.  Sophie craves attention and enjoys going for walks.  She needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this portrait that captures her spirit so beautifully.

Hulk Tugboat Hulk and Tugboat are adorable, playful baby brothers with loving, kind spirits. The boys are reportedly Schnauzer & Maltese mixes, about 5 months of age.  They are now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Hulk and Tugboat needed us because their previous owner said she "could not get rid of" them. Please plan on regular professional grooming and puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. The boys can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong companionship.

An angel from heaven, Petunia is blind, 10-12 years old, and homeless.  But she trusts us to find her someone to cherish her every day she has left on Earth.  Volunteers took her to Pet'ographique yesterday and she held her head proudly high for her portrait, reacting well to soft voices and tender touches.  She is a wonderful cuddler and she has an ocean of unconditional devotion to share.   Petunia is a Miniature Schnauzer mix who needs a hero and we ask for your help so she can have can have someone special to love and adopt her.

At 12 years of age, Murphy mistakenly gets overlooked by most visitors.  But he is a treasure!  He is enthusiastic, friendly, affectionate, even-tempered, loyal, and humble. Please come and meet him.  We think you will find his happy-go-lucky nature simply irresistible! Murphy is a Schnauzer & Terrier mix, neutered boy, and we rescued him after he was abandoned at a local veterinary clinic.  He is compatible with other dogs and well-behaved on a leash and in cars and on walks. The emotional rewards from adopting senior rescued animals are immense.   We hope you will open your heart to Murphy and the other seniors pleading for consideration.

Update: Flash was adopted on February 11th! At the time of rescue Flash was horrendously matted and filthy.  We could not see his face because of the knots.  Only extremely severe neglect for at least an entire year could have resulted in such a condition.  (His previous owner, if found, would surely be subject to cruelty charges.) Flash's transformation is going beautifully!  He has been groomed and neutered, his nails have been trimmed, he is eating nutritious premium food, bonding with people and dogs, and awakening to the realization that his future will be one full of love. He is a Poodle & Schnauzer mix, approximately 3 years young, and he triumphantly debuts for adoption today. Flash is understandably reserved, at least initially with new people, but his eyes are beginning to sparkle. Update: Cosmo was adopted on October 1st! This little angel has triumphantly survived steep obstacles to make it to this special day -- his debut adoption day. Besides being homeless at such a tender age, Cosmo was ill with the deadly parvo virus at the time of rescue.  We had extensive medical care provided for him at a veterinary hospital and he fortunately made a valiant, full recovery. He is Heinz 57 with Schnauzer, neutered, approximately 3 months of age, expected to remain small or grow to medium size at most. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. If you can make a lifetime commitment to Cosmo joining your family, please come meet this terrific baby boy.
