Milo , blind and 12 years of age, enjoys burrowing under blankets and treasuring peaceful moments.  He is a kind, solemn gentleman, a Dachshund mix, neutered, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Milo was at another shelter that asked for our help and his past is otherwise unknown.

As hard as it is to see the pain still in Milo's face, he is actually improving a bit more each day and no longer hiding his face. He is very docile and he is slowly but surely beginning to hope again. Milo , 10, a cream tabby, was at another shelter that asked for our help. He had been confiscated from his previous home for cruelty and he was terrified of violence and rage. Milo likes soft-spoken volunteers and staff to pet him and reassure him with tender words. He is starting to show interest in toys too. We look forward to the day when he knows in his heart that he is safe and secure. Please help find a hero for Milo . He is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

I thought I was their baby too.

Milo is very docile and gentle.  He is so confused by why he lost his home when his previous owners had a baby.  He thought he was their baby too.  Volunteers and staff are showering him with attention, which he craves, telling him that he'll soon be in a wonderful new home.  Milo is a good-looking Cocker Spaniel, 10 years of age, neutered boy, good with other dogs, housetrained, crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

My mommy had the courage to save me from beatings.

Update: Milo was adopted on October 16th! Milo needed us when his owner realized she could not protect him from abuse from multiple males inside the family home. He is a very loving, attractive, good-natured boy with expressive eyes, pleading for understanding and peace-of-mind. Milo is a Longhair Dachshund, neutered, about 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today. While he is crate-trained and reportedly knows how to use a doggie door, Milo may need your help and patience to complete housetraining.  (He reportedly sometimes marked inside the house, but this was prior to us having him neutered.) Milo is compatible with other dogs and may do best in a home with another dog.  Dachshund knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

I hope to grow up and become as wonderful as my daddy.

Update: Milo & Bert were adopted on July 10th! Father and son, Milo & Bert are lovable, comical guinea pigs who are grateful to be receiving good care, including clean water and fresh daily veggies. They were rescued from a foreclosed home. They had run out of water and food, and mold was growing in their cage. Both Milo & Bert have beautiful chocolate coats. They are perhaps Peruvian & American breed mixes. Milo, though a father, is still a baby himself at about 8 months of age. Milo is 2 months of age. Milo & Bert need an experienced home because of their young ages. Please read up on guinea pig care and ensure you can make a lifetime commitment to them.

As the days grow colder you can count on me to warm your heart.

Update: Milo was adopted on December 29th! Milo is a darling, super cute, and engaging young boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a Toy & Terrier mix, neutered, and about 2 years of age. Milo enjoys other dogs very much, and being such a social little guy, we believe he will do best in a home with another dog. We rescued Milo from another shelter, so we have little background information on him. Milo is one of 200 dogs for adoption today at Nevada SPCA, all of whom are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on major vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to share their unconditional love with new forever families.
