Louie , a gentle sweetheart, loves hearing praise that you are happy with him.  He is an adorable Yorkshire Terrier, 4 years of age and neutered, good with dogs and mature kids, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Louie needed us due to his previous owners' medical hardship.

Charlie and Pixie, with Kona in the back Kona and Charlie, with Pixie in the back Charlie and Pixie , and their brother behind them ( Kona ), were malnourished and in peril in the desert heat. At least one of their siblings had already perished. They were found by a teenager who cleaned them up and provided emergency care until they could be surrendered to us. Charlie , Pixie , and Kona need a nurturing foster hero please for approximately 8 weeks. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. Please share the kittens' post to help.   Dewey, Huey, and Louie Dewey , Huey , and Louie , baby brothers, also need a foster hero please.  The boys were found by a tourist and there was no sign of their mother.

Louie is blind. If you hold him with confidence, he feels very much at ease in your arms. Louie is 1 of the 24 chinchillas rescued earlier this month. 12 are still awaiting loving, forever homes at Nevada SPCA. All are recovering from neglect and approximately 8 years of age. They were allegedly being used for breeding in a previous home. We are seeking homes where they will be cherished for their individual personalities and spirits, never to be bred or neglected again. Louie adores people, but he gets anxious being around other chinchillas. He is one of the few chinchillas who need to be adopted separately, while most of the others need to be adopted in pairs due to their very social natures.

Dewey Huey Louie Huey , Dewey , and Louie are comical, super cute baby brothers nicknamed " The Duckling Pups " after Donald Duck's three nephews. They are a blend of many breeds, including Retriever, and expected to grow to large size.  The boys are now 4 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue they had been abandoned behind a convenience store.  Since then, they have been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home. Please give them kind guidance, stability, and basic training.  Please puppy-proof your homes and yards for their safety. The boys can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship.

Update: Louie was adopted on December 4th! Louie is about 4 years of age, but just now being given the golden opportunity to join a home where he will be loved and adored as a member of the family. He was rescued from a breeder, used for years to produce Yorkie puppies to make a quick buck. But breeding during this most severe animal overpopulation crisis, worsened further by the recession and home foreclosure crisis, is simply unconscionable. Louie is a super cute Yorkshire Terrier with a zany personality and great zest for life. He is all set to bloom beautifully in a caring home environment. Besides regular grooming, please plan on providing him with a wealth of good guidance for basic behaviors. We suspect that he may need to adjust to living predominantly indoors, learning housetraining, and so forth, and a steady lifestyle routine should be very helpful.
