Charlotte's sons are ready for adoption.

Image
Ferris Hoyt Ian Kyle Lance   Charlotte's sons -- Ferris , Hoyt , Ian , Kyle , and Lance -- debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Wonderfully socialized and raised in a foster home since birth, the boys are very loving and give puppy kisses. They are 3 months of age and neutered. Their mother, Charlotte, is a medium-size blend of many breeds, including Shar Pei. Their father is unknown. (We know the identity of their grandmother, Lilly, who was also rescued in January and adopted last week, a Shar Pei mix.) Charlotte was pregnant at the time of rescue. Her previous owner was threatening to shoot her (and Lilly and Lilly's newborns, all of who survived).    Charlotte was immediately placed in a very caring foster home and gave birth about a week later. Here are pictures of Charlotte and much more detail. [Charlotte will soon be spayed and ready for adoption too.]

Lilly

Lilly's beautiful face radiates fulfilled joy, bringing happy tears to the volunteers and staff here who recall her January 14 rescue. You may remember Lilly and her 9 puppies being rescued from a man threatening to shoot them.    Now three months later, all 9 of Lilly's babies survived, thrived in foster care, were spayed/neutered and then adopted. Lilly is now spayed and it's her turn for a loving forever home too. She triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Lilly loves leaping in pools to splash about or soak her feet. Please get her a wading pool for endless hours of pleasure and fun. She is 6 years of age, a medium-size Shar Pei & Shepherd mix. Something else wonderful to share! After Lilly's 9 babies were weaned and eventually separated from her at the proper time, she was not alone. We reunited Lilly with her adult daughter, Charlotte. (Charlotte was rescued January 15, pregnant, from the sa...

Debbie

Image
Debbie, March 29 Debbie, March 29 Debbie, January 15 Lilly, Debbie's mother Debbie was very bashful for her two pictures this morning. (She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.)    The third picture is of Debbie at the time of her rescue on January 15. The fourth picture is of her mother, Lilly. You may recall Lilly and her 9 babies were rescued from a man threatening to shoot them. All survived, and thrived, thanks to wonderful foster care. Debbie is now almost 4 months of age, spayed, loving with people and playful with other dogs. She is shy and needs time to warm to new people. Some of Debbie's siblings have already been adopted, while others will be ready for adoption soon (unless adopted by their foster parents). Lilly will soon be spayed and ready for adoption too. (Lilly is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Shar Pei and Shepherd. The father(s) of the puppies is unknown.) Thank you to all of the foster ...

Four tiny baby angels.

Image
Mario, Lilly, Bella, Willy Mario loves playing fetch. Lilly enjoys running and cuddling. Bella is especially playful and adores belly rubs. Willy likes taking naps on laps. These four tiny baby angels -- Mario , Lilly , Bella , and Willy -- debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. On an early November morning, they were found by a couple who spotted a cardboard box under a bush. The babies were just weeks old and very cold and without their mother. They have been raised in loving foster care ever since. Bella and Lilly are girls. Mario and Willy are boys. It appears they are Chihuahuas or Chihuahua mixes. The puppies are now 3 months of age and spayed/neutered. All four are very gentle and affectionate. Please consider adopting a pair for lifetime companionship.

I love to hide toys all around the house.

Lilly likes to hide her toys just as much as she likes to play with them.  She is a super sweet, vivacious baby girl, a Toy & Chihuahua mix, about 4 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Lilly has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home since her rescue as a newborn.  She is good with dogs, cats, and older kids.

She whispered in my ear: "The world is a better place with you in it."

Lilly, on the adoption patio with Lara We wish these pictures could do Lilly justice.  She has hypnotic eyes and the most interesting blue merle & white coloring.  But more important than her appearance is how agreeable and fun-loving she is, so happy to accompany us and play ball and share her bright spirit.  Lilly is an American Bulldog & Bully mix, 3 years young, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Lilly from another shelter to treat her ear infection (she is now healed).  Special thanks to a group of animal rescuers who offered to pay her rescue fee.  Please help us find Lilly the best of homes so she is never homeless, hungry, or lonely again.

Do they feel any guilt when they think of me?

Lilly is so incredibly adorable and she almost looks like a cartoon or a toy.  She is very innocent and kind, she worships people, and she gets along well with other sweet cats.  Lilly is a petite orange tabby, about 8 years of age, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Lilly needed us when her previous owner abandoned her in an apartment.

They call me a purr-ball.

Update: Lilly has been adopted! Non-stop cuddling and playing is Lilly's aim. She has a sweet, vigorous purr, and we find ourselves holding her belly by our ears to hear her rhythmic satisfaction every time she is held. Lilly is still a kitten at about 8 months of age.  She is a Snowshoe and Siamese mix, spayed, and ready for adoption today in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. Lilly does well with other cats too.  Because she is so affectionate it would be ideal if the other cat in the household enjoys engaging other felines too in play and snuggles. She needed us because her previous owners believed they were allergic to her. Like all cats, she needs an indoor-only home for her safety and protection.

What does it feel like to be adored?

Update: Lilly is in foster care for special attention. Understandably, Lilly has caution in her eyes. But she yearns to love and trust someone gentle. Lilly is a lovely, petite Chihuahua, spayed female, about 3 years of age, and she debuts for adoption today. She needed us when her previous owner kicked her out of the family after having a baby.  She limps because her front right leg was previously broken, but never fixed, so her leg tried to heal on its own and did so abnormally. Besides getting along well with other dogs, Lilly is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. We prefer an adult-only home for her because she is very anxious with strangers.  But with those she trusts, she showers them with kisses and affection. Please adopt Lilly and show her how nurturing and compassionate people can be.

Our personalities differ greatly, but we are sisters and soul-mates.

Update: Vera & Lilly were adopted on September 14th! These stunningly beautiful young girls, Vera & Lilly , needed us due to their previous owner's financial hardship. The sisters are Siamese and Snowshoe mixes, spayed, 18 months of age, declawed, and so strongly bonded that it would be cruel to separate them. But while Vera , left, is outgoing and yearns for your affection, Lilly is quite bashful and enjoys hiding and finding dark, quiet places where she feels safe. With your patience and tenderness, Lilly will emerge some from her shell, but she may never be as engaging as her sister. Nevertheless, her gentle spirit is beautiful in its own right, and shy or not, she can make a wonderfully loving companion too. Medium-hairs, they will need weekly brushing, so please plan accordingly. Please also be sure to keep them safely indoors with you for their protection. Adopt Vera & Lilly and they will warm your heart during their lifetimes, and beyond.

Though I cannot see it, I know the world is an ever-more beautiful place.

Update: Lilly was adopted on September 9th! Lilly enjoys gently nibbling on your fingers. She has a come a very long way, transforming from a feral cat surviving on her own on the streets to a sweet, domesticated feline who has learned that humans can be kind. Lilly is a gorgeous Tortie Point Siamese, spayed female, about 6 years of age. She is available for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Cat Condos. She has a quiet, humble, affectionate nature. Lilly is blind in both eyes, so small spaces are best for her to feel content and secure. Please be patient with her, perhaps letting her start in a little room in your home so that she can easily find her food, water, litter box, and bedding, then allow her more home access as she gains confidence. As with all cats, it is imperative she lives strictly indoors for her safety and protection. If you have a tender touch, Lilly would love to go home with you. Please visit and ask for this angel by name. Special thanks to Pet'ographique f...

If I am barking too much it is because I do not want to be alone.

Update: Lilly was adopted on June 25th! Lilly is a gorgeous puppy with a very loving, social nature. She is a Pomeranian, spayed female, 8 months of age, debuting for adoption today. Lilly enjoys snuggling with you and gets distressed when left alone. She lost her previous home due to "excessive barking". She is crate-trained, but not yet fully housetrained (so your patience and good guidance are needed). Lilly is good with other sweet dogs and needs regular professional grooming care.

My eyes reveal my beautiful soul.

Update: Lilly was adopted on October 8th! You want to smile every time you look at Lilly's face. She radiates joy and innocence. Lilly is a gorgeous Siberian Husky with sky-blue eyes. She is spayed and approximately one year of age. Lilly is compatible with some other dogs. She lost her previous home due to "chewing" -- but this is a natural, necessary behavior, especially for young dogs. The key is giving good guidance to direct chewing to appropriate toys and treats. Siberian Husky knowledge and/or experience is required. Please also plan on regular brushing and good hygiene for her.

They say I am a lovebug.

Update: Lilly was adopted on August 15th! Lilly is a darling puppy with an affectionate, cheerful nature. She is a Pomeranian, six months young. Lilly enjoys the company of other sweet dogs. She is reportedly "mostly" housetrained and she needs regular grooming care. Lilly needed us because her owner's schedule was too full and she was working too much overtime. She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I want to conquer my fear of new people.

Update: Lilly was adopted on June 6th! Lilly is an angelic little girl. Her expressive eyes reveal her emotions and she yearns to feel comforted and peaceful with those she knows and trusts. Like many of the animals we rescue from other shelters, Lilly was terrified and overwhelmed with confusion. She is already making some progress in her first few days here with us and she is ready to debut in Adoptions today at Nevada SPCA. Lilly is a Pomeranian, spayed female, approximately four years young. She adores other dogs. She needs regular grooming care, so please budget extra accordingly. If you have a gentle, quieter home, ideally with other dogs, please give careful consideration to adopting Lilly.
