Leon

Leon , a youngster so grateful for kindness and care, is changing the way he views and understands people. Weeks ago Leon was found frightened in a family's garage, ill and neglected, trying to find shelter. Since then he has recovered well. We have Leon on a premium meal plan and shaved away all of his knots and tangles. He is bonding here well with people and dogs. Leon is now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. He is a Lhasa Apso & Maltese mix, 2 years of age, and eager to have someone to love unconditionally.

Leon finds goodness in every cat, child, adult, and dog he meets. He just wants to feel accepted and have everyone around him content and belonging too.  Leon is a silver tabby with jewel eyes and mousy good looks, 8 years of age and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Leon's favorite activities include lounging on cat trees, playing hockey with catnip toy mice, and batting at paper balls he finds on the floor.  He needed us due to his previous owner's declining health.

Leon , a young Neapolitan Mastiff with a kind heart, needs a hero. He is so head-shy that he flinches when a stranger touches his head. Leon was reportedly handed from home-to-home following a divorce, experiencing severe neglect and abuse in at least one of the homes.    Physically, he has been recovering well.    Emotionally, his healing will take much longer. Leon is available for adoption and requires an owner with advanced dog training/behavior experience. Adult-only home needed and strangers can never lunge at him.    Leon is waiting for a hero at Nevada SPCA.

A lifetime commitment to us is the greatest act of love.

Lexy, baby girl Larry, baby boy Leon, baby boy Levon, baby boy Lexy and her brothers -- Larry , Leon , Levon -- are adorable babies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The kittens have been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home since their rescue.  They are now 14 weeks of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for indoor-only, loving forever homes. They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship.

When you adopt me another innocent life can be rescued too.

Leon would love to be adopted into a gentle home. He is a petite Longhair Chihuahua mix with fox-like good looks, 1 year young, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Leon is reportedly housetrained and fine with older, mature kids.  He gets along very well with other dogs we have introduced him to here at the shelter. Leon needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.

Please be gentle and patient with me.

Update: Leon was adopted on December 13th! Leon's anxious eyes tear our hearts up.  He is so innocent and concerned about what the future has in store for him. He does not realize yet that he is safe and in no danger.  We rescued him from a government-funded shelter that ran out of space to keep him.  (Each dog varies, but most realize they are safe within three days of arrival here -- due to extra meals & attention & toys & blankets & treats -- and take on a more relaxed perspective.) Leon is a Lhasa Apso, neutered male, approximately 3 years of age.  He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Leon enjoys other sweet dogs and he needs regular professional grooming care.  He is very sensitive and tender-hearted, so a gentle home is best for him.
