Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Joy , 12, is a delightful senior with a loving nature.  She is a Yorkshire Terrier, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Joy was at another shelter that asked for our help due to past neglect and her need for dental care. We put Joy on a premium probiotic food plan and had dental care provided for her.  Please share her picture to help her find someone wonderful for her golden years.

Freddy , a youngster overflowing with joy and enthusiasm, wiggles his whole body when he greets you. He is 1 year of age, a blend of Bearded Collie & Water Dog, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . We believe Freddy has the temperament to be exceptional with mature kids too. He was abandoned on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.

Kahuna wiggles in joy when meeting happy new people.  He is a fun-loving junior puppy, 11 months of age, a handsome blend of Hound & Shepherd, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Kahuna is housetrained & crate-trained and good with dogs and kids.  He needed us due to a landlord-tenant dispute with his previous family.

Finn is a radiant, fun-loving youngster eager to bring joy and devotion to someone who will commit to him forever. Finn is a handsome Siberian Husky, 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    His previous owner surrendered him because he was not getting along with her other dogs. Our experience is that Finn is compatible with some dogs, but won't tolerate dogs being bossy with him.    We believe he has the temperament to be exceptional with kids.

Corina , a luminous lady, enjoys sharing her joy and cheery nature.  She is a gorgeous snow & cream White Shepherd & Siberian Husky, 6 years of age, spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Corina needed us when her previous owner inexplicably abandoned her with a dog-sitter.

Jackie Maddy Moe Moe , and his sisters, Jackie and Maddy , are lovingly nicknamed "The Peppy Puppies" and they are now ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. These angels were just a week of age at the time of rescue.  Their mother, named Joy (who is also ready for adoption and pictured below), and two other adult dogs were rescued too.  Their previous owner said he "can't deal with them". We put The Peppy Puppies immediately into foster care, along with their mom, so that they could be raised and socialized in the comfort of a loving home environment. The Peppy Puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for forever homes.  We believe they are a blend of Beagle, Dachshund, and Spaniel, so we expect them to grow to medium size. The babies can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. Joy , their mother, is also now spayed, about 3 years of age, a Longhair Dachs...

Joy is a tender-hearted, kind young momma who hopes for better days ahead for herself and her babies.  In February, Joy and her three newborns were dumped by a man, along with two other adult dogs, because he said he "can't deal with them".  We placed Joy and her puppies in a loving foster so she could raise them in a comfortable, peaceful home environment.  Joy's puppies are now weaned (and will be ready for adoption later this spring) and Joy is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a small Longhair Dachshund & Spaniel mix, 3 years of age, and good with other dogs.  Please help us find Joy a forever home with someone responsible, stable, and gentle.

Shadow is a cheerful and exceptionally good-natured senior full of optimism and joy.  He enjoys children, dogs, and cats, plus he is housetrained and crate-trained too.  Shadow loves toys that look like turtles.  He is a medium-size Shepherd & Retriever mix, 12 years of age, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Along with his eternal gratitude, there are rich emotional rewards that can come with adopting senior animals, who have just as much unconditional devotion to share with you as a puppy.

Update: Joy was adopted on January 13th! Joy delights in dancing and singing, winning your smiles and attention. In our eyes, this 3-month old baby girl is already a superstar.  She is a tiny Chihuahua mix, spayed, and debuting for adoption today. The loving care and socialization from a foster home not only saved her life, but helped her personality bloom.   Fostering kittens and puppies is hard work, but it makes a life-saving difference for the animals in the most desperate of need. And Joy was in urgent need at the time of rescue, found terrified and hungry in the cold after being abandoned on a couple's front porch. Joy enjoys other sweet dogs and craves all the adoration you can generate for her.  Because of her teacup size, she needs an especially conscientious owner who will ensure the family home and yard are safe for her.

Update: Joy was adopted on February 18th! A jazzy little sweetheart, Joy is simply irresistible. She is a Yorkshire Terrier, spayed female, just one year of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Joy has a mixed record with other dogs. She has been fine with other canines here, but she reportedly lost her previous home due to having spats with an older dog there. Joy is housetrained (with a doggie door) and needs professional grooming care (at least quarterly, so please budget plenty extra for this).
