Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Donatello eagerly seeks kindness and looks carefully to people for their acceptance.  He is a friendly boy, a Jack Russell Terrier, 4 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Donatello was at another shelter that asked for our help after he had survived a massive trauma to his body (from source unknown). Fonzie , 12, a kind boy, longs for someone to love.  He is a Jack Russell Terrier with a unique grin and bright smile, neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Fonzie was at another shelter that asked for our help. He has a sensitive throat (trachea) and requires a harness instead of a collar for his walks.  Please help find him someone wonderful!

Rocko , 14, inspires us with his youthful spirit. He finds joy in every social moment and loves meeting new people. Rocko is reportedly a Jack Russell & Boston Terrier mix. He is housetrained & crate-trained, compatible with older kids and some dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Lorelei , 14, a gentle soul, politely and humbly asks for consideration.    Her previous owner turned her into another shelter (for reasons unknown) and she needs a loving home. Chucky & Beau Beau , 6 & 10, needed us when their previous owner passed away.  Both are wonderfully friendly and cheery, housetrained, good with dogs & kids, neutered, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Chucky is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Beau Beau is a Jack Russell Terrier. The boys are strongly bonded, together forever.  Please help find them a loving home.

Spencer is ready to leap into your life and be your devoted boy forever.  He is a junior puppy, 7 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.  He is a cute blend of Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua, and he is housetrained and compatible with cats and dogs.  Spencer needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Stephen hopes you will accept his whole heart, all of his unconditional love.  He enjoys trotting at your side loyally during walks and he is housetrained and great with other dogs.  Stephen is a Jack Russell Terrier, 10 years of age and neutered, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is healing well from severe neglect (chronic ear infections in his past have resulted in a permanent head tilt).  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for his handsome new portraits to help find Stephen a forever home.

Travis is a remarkably cute boy with magical eyes and he is debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He has the body of a Smooth Fox Terrier and the face of a Jack Russell Terrier.  Travis is about 6 years of age and neutered.  He adores people and bounces with high jumps straight up in the air when he's excited.  Travis is recovering from emaciation/starvation and another shelter asked for our help.  Food is of utmost seriousness to him, so he cannot be fed around other dogs.  Travis is gaining energy and weight well, and his zest for life is emerging beautifully.

Rocket Man is fun-loving and spunky and he has an adventurous spirit.  He is a handsome Jack Russell Terrier, about 8 years of age, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Rocket Man loves going for walks and he is a volunteer favorite here at the shelter.  He gets along fine with most dogs.  He is on a special diet for food allergies.  Please ask for Rocket Man specifically by name when you visit. 

Chunky Monkey is a big scoop of love and volunteers and staff adore his sugary-sweet personality.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this very cute portrait to help him find a forever home.  Chunky Monkey is a blue, tan, & white Chihuahua & Jack Russell Terrier mix, about 3 years of age, neutered boy, available for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is great with other dogs and reportedly mostly housetrained.

Dexter has the enthusiasm and jazzy spirit of a puppy, but he is actually 10 years of age and completely blind. Dexter is a Jack Russell Terrier, neutered, housetrained, good with cats and dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Dexter relishes playing with other dogs and greets you warmly every time you return.  He gets around very well and confidently without his sight. Please help Dexter find someone special for his twilight years.

Logan , one of the happiest and most carefree dogs in the shelter, is also, inexplicably, one of our longest residents.  He enjoys dogs, adores people, and he is reportedly good with cats and children too, plus housetrained.  Logan yearns for a loving home and Pet'ographique beautifully captured his appeal for renewed consideration.  Logan is a Jack Russell Terrier, neutered boy, 7 years of age, with impaired vision in his left eye from an old eye infection, awaiting adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please come meet Logan !

Benny Blinkey Benny & Blinkey are so young at heart, full of enthusiasm and joy, that it's hard to believe they are seniors.  This zippy pair is very strongly bonded and they need to remain together forever.  They are Jack Russell Terriers, neutered boys, 10-12 years of age, reportedly housetrained and fine with older, mature kids.  We rescued the boys from another shelter.

Kenny Toby   Kenny and Toby are adorable baby boys, brothers, with flashy and playful personalities. But trusting people does not come easy for these puppies.  They made progress in a loving foster home, and this progress needs to continue in loving, forever homes with experienced owners.  Kenny , in particular, can get nippy with anxious or fearful, so he requires an adult-only home where this behavior can be curbed immediately. Kenny and Toby were born to Harmony , a pretty and sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix who was homeless.  We have since spayed and adopted Harmony .  (Her portrait is below.)  Kenny and Toby are now neutered, 4 months of age, and we expect them to remain small in size like their mom. Update: Sally was adopted on January 27th! Bouncy and athletic, Sally seems to have the energy of an entire litter of puppies. But she is generally well-behaved (except, reportedly, when company arrives and she gets so excited that she drops all manners), including being housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and compatible with cats & dogs and kind children. So Sally will thrive with an active lifestyle.  She is a pretty Jack Russell Terrier, spayed girl, about 6 years of age. Sally needed rescue when her previous owner changed housing arrangements. Jack Russell Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her adoption.  Please be willing and able to provide basic dog obedience training for her to so that she can continue channeling her energy into good behavior.

We adore Logan and find him endearing and incredibly lovable. But his heart was broken when his previous owner passed away and the surviving family brought him to us.  He is coming out of the depression well, thanks to staff and volunteers showering him with good cheer and encouragement. Logan is a well-behaved Jack Russell Terrier, neutered boy, about 6 years of age.  Besides getting along well with other dogs, he is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with cats and children.  For his allergies, please keep Logan on a fish & potato diet. Tiger & Rocky Update: Tiger & Rocky were adopted on January 19th! Tiger & Rocky's previous owner said the boys were therapy dogs for children.  But when she herself became ill with cancer, she needed their love and positive energy to help her get through the hardest of times. She cherished them deeply, and could not control her tears as she bade them goodbye.  She had no choice since she was going into hospice, her doctors telling her that her life was soon coming to an end.  We consoled her and promised her that we would find Tiger & Rocky a wonderful, loving new home and that they would stay together forever. Update: Mistletoe was adopted on December 27th! Mistletoe is a precious baby girl, a Jack Russell Terrier puppy of 7 months, with tremendous loving potential. Her heart is pure gold, she is full of energy, and she is learning to trust humans again. The background on Mistletoe that we received was that she was bred for sale by a local backyard breeder.  She was sold as a very young puppy, but then taken back from the purchaser because he was abusing and mistreating her.  The breeder then brought her to Nevada SPCA because she was 'too old' to sell again. We had Mistletoe spayed and she debuts for adoption today. She enjoys other sweet dogs and needs a patient owner who will help her continue her emotional recovery from the abuse.  Lots of daily playtime and a stable lifestyle routine will go far in letting her feel safe and secure. As we always need to mention with pups, please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection.

Tyler & Leah Update: Tyler & Leah were adopted on December 23rd! We rescued these two attractive Jack Russell Terriers from another shelter, where they were taken after their previous owner unexpectedly passed away. Tyler & Leah are brother and sister, spayed/neutered, approximately 5 years of age.  Both are full of zip and spunk, with Tyler being a bit more assertive, while Leah is bit more easy-going. Beyond being siblings, they are strongly bonded soul-mates and it is important that they stay together forever. Jack Russell Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for their adoption.
