Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Leomaris ("Leo"), a winsome youngster with a stunning appearance, hopes for a stable and responsible lifelong home where he will be treasured as a family member.  Leomaris is a Lionhead bunny mix with deep blue eyes, 1 year of age, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .   He was found discarded in a residential neighborhood to fend for himself. (But domesticated rabbits completely depend on humans for survival and safety.)

Hope beams with anticipation for a bright future! At the time of rescue this young girl was starving and had been struck by a car. She was rushed to an animal hospital. Hope needed five weeks of healing and, very fortunately, her injuries were not life-threatening. She is slowly but steadily gaining weight and energy too. Hope adores people. She is a Belgian Shepherd mix, 2 years of age, spayed, and debuting triumphantly for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . It appears she requires a one-dog household.

Maurice , full of hope and charisma, loves to hear you tell him how sweet he is.  Maurice is a young Lhasa Apso mix, 3 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming, as his coat will grow long again the months to come.

Corina , a luminous lady, enjoys sharing her joy and cheery nature.  She is a gorgeous snow & cream White Shepherd & Siberian Husky, 6 years of age, spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Corina needed us when her previous owner inexplicably abandoned her with a dog-sitter.

Now healed, Mitch overflows with sunshine and hope!  He likes laying at your feet and smiling. Mitch is a Labrador Retriever mix, 5 years of age, neutered boy, good with other dogs, triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Mitch was at another shelter and injured. He had sustained massive trauma across his body from an unknown cause. Now, almost two months later, Mitch is feeling good and bright in spirit. Please come meet and consider this happy boy.

Marlin Hope Natasha with Jill and Lars. Two of the "Blond Angels" -- Marlin and Hope -- are now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org). Also, Natasha and her four babies are ready to join an experienced foster home. Marlin reportedly took the lead protecting the giant pack from coyotes and other dangers. He is 4 years of age and now neutered. Hope is 1 year young and now spayed.. Men terrify her, but she bonds more quickly with women and accepts kindness. Natasha's four babies are just weeks old and love to crawl all over her. Pictured here are daughter Jill and son Lars with her. Natasha and her four babies need a foster home for approximately 8 weeks for continued nurturing and socialization. Hope needs a hero.  She reportedly came from a broken home, lost her right front leg (reportedly due to being struck by a car, but all that is known for certain is that she sustained massive trauma), and reportedly does not like men or children touching her.  Hope is a lovely Italian Greyhound mix, about 6 years of age, a spayed girl, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is housetrained and good with other dogs.  Hope adores women and bonds strongly to those who are kind to her.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these exceptional portraits to help showcase Hope and find her the forever home she needs to reach her full loving potential.

We are so heartened to see Adalyn upbeat and hopeful for her future.  At the time of rescue one of our staff was taking a walk and saw what he believed to be a dead cat lying against a wall near a road.  When he reached down to check for signs of life, two little green eyes popped open and she softly meowed, a cry for help.  He took off his shirt and wrapped her in it, fearing she had been struck by a car and had injuries.  But after getting her to Nevada SPCA, we realized she was just petrified from fear and confusion (she must have just been abandoned before he found her) and she was not injured.  We named this gorgeous girl Adalyn and she joyfully debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is previously declawed, about 7 years of age, spayed, and affectionate.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing her beautiful personality in this portrait.

Update: Hope was adopted on December 19th! This gorgeous little girl was following one of our staff on a recent evening on the walking trails in Henderson. It was clear she had an inquisitive, adventurous nature, as if a young kitten, but she was in danger of being struck by a bike or vehicle. We traced her microchip ID, learned her name is Hope , and contacted her registered owner. But her previous owner said that Hope was so difficult to keep indoors that she decided to not reclaim her, instead releasing Hope to us to find a new home. Hope is spayed, one year young, and full of beautiful charm.  Unquestionably, she can be converted to an indoor-only lifestyle for her safety and protection.  This is imperative, as the dangers outdoors are only too real and could lead to violent death, from vehicles or coyotes, disease or pranksters, etc. Our staff can share tips with you on ensuring that your indoor-only cats have the stimulation they need.  Simple, inexpen...

This little angel was wrapped repeatedly in wide tape and smeared with blood from an ear wound when she was spotted outside at an apartment complex. A caring woman spent two hours earning her trust before this terrified girl let her capture and rescue her. Our best guess was that a gang had gotten hold of her, but what their horrific intentions were we can only imagine. Fortunately, the woman brought her to us for medical and emotional rehabilitation. We named her Hope and gave her the special care she needed to heal and know she was safe. Desperate to trust us and make a loving connection, she soon thereafter dropped her protective emotional walls and accepted our help. You can still in her eyes though the fear and uncertainty she is feeling. Hope is a lovely Chihuahua, about 2 years of age. She is now spayed and debuting for adoption.
