Hazel , a jolly burst of sunshine, will constantly win your smiles with her irresistible charm! She is an outgoing, young Staffordshire Terrier mix (with a bronze eye and gold eye), 3 years of age and spayed, housetrained, and triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Hazel was dying at the time of rescue. So weak from parvo virus, she had severely faded and could no longer stand or lift her head from the floor. Thanks to extensive emergency care at an advanced specialty veterinary center, and an extraordinarily generous sponsor, Hazel made a beautiful recovery. She is eager to love! Hazel , so surprised she is getting attention, glows as she realizes that the cruel days are over.    She is a gorgeous Border Collie mix, 4 years of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Hazel's previous owners reportedly denied her of love, socialization, and indoor access in a heartbreaking attempt to make her "a guard dog". This treatment caused her to become severely withdrawn and sullen, resulting in her abandonment at another shelter. Hazel is starved for kindness and praise. She is timid with new people, but bursts into the warmest smiles when she knows people are happy with her.    Please help find someone wonderful for Hazel !

Hazel is adorable in temperament and appearance. Several volunteers mentioned she is so uniquely cute that she looks like a Dr. Seuss character. Hazel delights in being held and adored. She is housetrained and compatible with dogs and kids.    She is reportedly a Pomeranian & Chihuahua blend, 2 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Huckleberry is a fun-loving, affectionate baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a 6-month old puppy, a chocolate & white Bully mix with hazel eyes, and now neutered.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. At the time of rescue Huckleberry was very sick with parvo, a potentially deadly disease, but after extensive medical care he has triumphantly made a full recovery! Please come meet this sweet pup and let him show you his immense charm.

Update: Hazel was adopted on July 24th! Hazel is a petite, dainty youngster who craves adoration. She is a Longhair Chihuahua, spayed female, just a year of age. We believe she will thrive with a pampered lifestyle with lots of love. Hazel is good with other friendly dogs. Please plan on at least weekly brushing care for her coat. We rescued Hazel from another shelter.

Update: Hazel was adopted on December 15th! One of our staff found this angelic young lady thrown out in a crate by a trash can. There was no food or water, or even a square of cloth for comfort, so the horrible intentions of the monster who put her there were very clear. We named Hazel for her lovely eyes. They have an ethereal quality to them, with light green near the center blending into bright gold rings. We had her spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Today, she is ready for adoption. Hazel is a brown tabby, shorthair, with white boots. She is about one year of age. Hazel gets along very well with other cats and enjoys the company of friendly people. Please be sure to keep her (and all other cats) strictly indoors only for their safety and protection.
