Goldie's eyes reveal her desperation for kindness.  She looks to new people carefully, with both fear and hope, trying to assess their intentions.  Goldie is head-shy and we believe someone hurt her terribly in a previous home.  She is a lovely Whippet mix, 1 year young, good with other dogs, now spayed and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Goldie was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

Goldie has recovered her will to live and now looks with longing at gentle people with hope that they will accept her lifelong devotion.    Goldie is a blond Chihuahua & Toy mix, 5 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Goldie was an emergency rescue from another shelter. She had crashed into depression and stopped eating and drinking. She was perilously dehydrated when we arrived and we rushed her to an animal hospital for IV fluids.    When released from the hospital we paired her up with a canine friend for companionship and her appetite has been steady since.

He gave me a violent goodbye. But I am rebounding emotionally.

A witness saw someone shaking a blanket out of a second-story window of an apartment complex, and out with the dust, intentionally, flew this gorgeous little girl. The witness scooped her up, worried she had broken bones, and brought her to us. We named her Goldie and a veterinarian evaluated her and determined that though traumatized, she was not physically injured from the ordeal. Goldie still believes in people and she is drawn to kind, gentle humans for affection and reassurance. Goldie is a golden brown tabby, medium-hair feline, spayed, about 3 years of age. Please adopt her, speak softly to her, and make sure she never experiences human cruelty again.

Let's share a little bit of heaven with each other.

Update: Goldie was adopted on February 22nd! A priceless angel, Goldie and her spirit gentle will have your heart in knots within moments of meeting her. Her golden eyes reflect her innocent soul. Goldie is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, spayed female, about 8 years of age. She enjoys mellow children and friendly cats and dogs, plus she is housetrained and crate-trained. Goldie needed us though because she is skittish and anxious with new people and new situations. A calm, experienced home and a steady lifestyle routine will help her build confidence so she can bloom. Goldie debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
