Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Gilbert likes to burrow under blankets to take his naps.  He is very sweet, gentle, and humble.  At the time of rescue he was found on a street corner with no sign of responsible ownership and suffering from an infection so severe his right eye could not be saved.  Gilbert is a tri-color Chihuahua, 8 years of age, neutered, good with other calm dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is still adjusting to the loss of his eye and screams if someone reaches for him too quickly on his blind side.  Please help find him a very patient, quiet, nurturing home so that he will only know love and kindness from now on.

Update: Gilbert was adopted on November 11th! We love Gilbert's mousy good looks and over-sized ears. Even more, we appreciate how affectionate and social he is, and how good he is at cuddling. Gilbert is a super cute Chihuahua mix puppy debuting for adoption today.  He is neutered and about 7 months of age, compatible with friendly dogs and kind, mature children. He is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and will cry at night if he cannot be near you. Gilbert needed us because his previous owner said she had too many pets.
