Darlene , 12, trying to emerge from crushing sadness and depression, needs a foster home, or a forever home, where she can lift her spirits in the comfort and peace of a loving home environment. We rescued Darlene from another shelter that asked for our help because of her mammary tumors. We had them removed at a veterinary hospital and Darlene recovered slowly from the operation.    Darlene is now eating again and willing to go for walks, so we are hoping the most perilous part of her depression is over. Darlene is a medium-size blend of many breeds, perhaps including Wheaten Terrier, and she is fine with other gentle dogs. Darlene feels so unsure about the world, but when she feels safe her eyes sparkle and beam. She yearns for a stable home where she will only know love and kindness. Darlene is a young, pretty, long-bodied & short-legged Spaniel mix, 1 year of age and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.
