Ellie's Babies -- Daisy, Daniel, Daphne

Image
Daisy Daniel Daphne Ellie Ellie's Babies -- Daisy , Daniel , and Daphne -- triumphantly debut for adoption today, Independence Day, at Nevada SPCA , which is open for adoptions with special holiday hours from 10am-1pm. At the time of rescue, Ellie and her three puppies were in peril from parvo virus. We rushed them into emergency veterinary care at an animal hospital. Thanks to extensive care made possible by generous donors, veterinarians were able to save all four. ( Ellie , the mom, has already been spayed and adopted.) Daisy , Daniel , and Daphne are adorable blends of small breeds (Chihuahua, Jack Russell Terrier, Miniature Pinscher), just under 5 months of age, and now spayed/neutered. Like their mother, they are wonderfully affectionate and super sweet.

Daisy

Daisy , a bashful junior kitten, is ready to bloom in a gentle forever home where she will be dearly loved.  She is a snow-white medium-hair, 9 months of age and spayed, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Daisy can be bossy with other cats, but co-exists well with submissive personalities.  She needed us due to her previous owners' hardship.

Daisy is an agile, graceful young girl who dances at your feet to welcome you home.  She is a beautiful spirit, an Italian Greyhound mix, 3 years of age and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Daisy needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Daisy politely requests your consideration to accept her unconditional devotion in exchange for a stable, loving forever home.  She is a beautiful, bashful blend of Corgi & Pomeranian, 6 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, housetrained, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Daisy needed us because of her previous owner's severe illness.  Please visit and ask for Daisy by name.

Roxy & Daisy

Image
Roxy is blind and relies on her soul-mate, Daisy . Her emotional well-being and ability to confidently move about depends on the complex and powerful bond the two have formed and developed. Daisy adores Roxy too and wants to care for her. We rescued these sweet girls from another shelter so they could remain together forever. Roxy , 7, is a Shih-Tzu mix. Daisy , 2, is a Maltese. Both are housetrained, good with other dogs, recovering from neglect, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please share their post to help find Roxy & Daisy a hero.

Daisy , a cuddly baby girl, offers unconditional devotion in exchange for a lifetime commitment to her being a valued member of your family. Daisy is a small Heinz 57 with Beagle, 5 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    She adores people and dogs.    Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.    Daisy's previous owner surrendered her and said he had "too many dogs".    Please visit and ask for Daisy by name.

Cherish me and all of my love is yours.

Daisy is at peace in your arms.  She is a mellow girl, so grateful to be off of the streets, and she offers many years of tenderness and devotion.  Daisy is 5 years of age and spayed and good with other cats.  She was found abandoned outdoors, declawed (front paws) and unable to protect herself, with no sign of responsible ownership.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these beautiful portraits to help Daisy find a responsible, indoor-only forever home.

A nose kiss a day assures me that you're okay.

Image
Daisy greets you each day with a gentle nose kiss.  She is well-behaved and perfectly content at your side, in your peaceful presence.  Daisy is a big, 19-pound girl, about 8 years of age, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please be sure to ask for Daisy by name (she is living in a Nevada SPCA office instead of a playroom).  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this beautiful portrait to help her find a loving, indoor-only, forever home.

How could they have walked away from us?

Daisy and Drake Daisy Drake Daisy and Drake were rescued from an abandoned house, along with two other kittens and two adult female cats.  All survived the ordeal. Daisy and Drake are now spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. They are sister and brother, and terrific together, but they can be adopted separately.  Daisy and Drake are as loving as they are cute, just as precious and endearing as imaginable. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing their beautiful spirits in these portraits.

We are blooming now that we are healthy and well.

Daisy Rose Update: Rose was adopted on March 14! Update: Daisy was adopted on March 12! Daisy and Rose are baby girls who came from two different litters and were sick with the parvo virus at the time of rescue. We had emergency medical care provided for both puppies, and after extensive treatment, the girls made full recoveries. Daisy is endearing and has a loving nature.  She is most likely a Pointer mix, now spayed about between 4-5 months of age. Rose is affectionate, spunky, and playful.  She is a Heinz 57 with Retriever, now spayed about about 4 months young. The girls are available for adoption separately.   Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

I did everything I could to try and keep my babies alive.

Update: Daisy was adopted on February 25th! The plight of this angel ripped our hearts out.  We are blessed to have her (and her surviving pups) here at Nevada SPCA, safe now, and ever-after (once adopted into a loving forever home), so she (and the pups too) can be shown the kinder side of human nature. Daisy is a Maltese mix with ethereal hazel eyes, spayed girl, about 18 months of age. At the time of rescue she was in a filthy, wet backyard with her 4 newborn puppies.  Forced to live outside, she had dug a large hole in the ground to try and keep her puppies warm.  But her previous owner said 3 of her original 7 babies had "froze to death".  When questioned why he had acted so cruelly and neglectfully, he said he "didn't want no babies" and that when he took Daisy from a friend he did not know she was pregnant. Daisy's babies are doing well here and they will be available for adoption in the weeks to come.  Now that Daisy has been spayed she is...

Let me be your angel.

Update: Daisy was adopted on January 17th! An endearing girl, Daisy's gentle and loving nature steals your heart. She is a very sweet, pretty Lhasa Apso mix with warm eyes, spayed, about 3 years young, debuting for adoption today. Daisy enjoys other friendly dogs and needs regular professional grooming care. We rescued her from a government shelter that asked for our help due to space issues.  She has some old scarring on her back that is reportedly due to the removal of a lump, but it is expected to be invisible once her coat grows out again. Please visit and ask for Daisy by name.

I wiggle with enthusiasm.

Daisy is a precious baby girl and we find her completely irresistible. We believe she is a Toy & Terrier mix.  She is spayed, about 5 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please plan on regular professional grooming and carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. We rescued Daisy from another shelter that asked us for help because of her cherry eye condition.  We had this repaired for her and she has been healing well. She is a social girl and she adores people and other dogs. As with all companion animals, please only consider her if you can make a lifetime commitment to her.

Like most other Italian Greyhounds, we are sensitive and loving.

Guy Daisy Update: Guy & Daisy were adopted on November 8th! Guy & Daisy are young, strongly bonded, very attractive Italian Greyhounds debuting for adoption today. Guy is like a cruise director who likes to keep track of the comings-and-goings in the household, knowing who is home and what they are doing.  He is called "a Biggie Iggie" because he is one of the larger types of Italian Greyhounds who are almost half-way to Whippet size.  He has tremendous stature. Daisy is outgoing too, but more dainty and snuggly.  She loves burrowing under blankets.  Like Guy , she has been well cared for and her posture is wonderful. These two needed us because their previous owner said he did not have time for them. Guy & Daisy are spayed/neutered and just under a year of age (11 months).  They are good with dogs, and reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and compatible with cats and older children. They need to remain t...

Things are looking up for me.

Update: Daisy was adopted on October 9th! If a docile spirit speaks to you, then you need to come meet Daisy . She is a baby who enjoys sitting in your lap, giving kisses, and soaking up your adoration. Daisy is a Toy and Terrier mix with lovely hazel eyes, chocolate and white coloring, spayed, about 4 months of age. She needed us when her previous owner lost her job and decided she could no longer afford to care for her properly. Besides loving people, Daisy gets enthusiastic around other playful, small, friendly dogs.  Please plan on regular grooming care for her. Daisy debuts for adoption today.

You saved our lives!

Update 2: Daisy was adopted on August 7th! Update: Duke was adopted on August 6th! Our ability to go the extra mile to save lives is due to financial support from the community. Daisy (pictured here) and her brother Duke (pictured on Nevada SPCA's main web site ) had been exposed to the deadly parvo virus at the time of their abandonment at a local veterinary clinic. We had extensive medical care provided for these puppies and both made full recoveries. Daisy & Duke are sister and brother, comical and playful and athletic. We believe they are Labrador Retriever mixes who will grow to medium or large size. They are spayed/neutered, between 6 and 7 months young, and debuting for adoption today. Daisy & Duke can be adopted separately. But please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. Please be willing and able to provide basic dog obedience training for them to help channel their energies into good behaviors. To help save the lives of commun...

Both my mind and body need regular exercise.

Update: Daisy was adopted on August 10th! Daisy is a smart, gorgeous young girl who we rescued from another shelter. She is an Australian Cattle Dog, spayed, one year of age. Herding breed dogs, like Daisy , are known for their exceptional intelligence. So, besides walks and daily playtime, please be sure to plan on engaging her mind too with games and activities. Daisy is compatible with other friendly dogs. Herding dog knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her adoption.

Let's go swimming!

Update: Daisy was adopted on July 16th! Daisy is a peppy, beautiful youngster who loves playing with children. She is a Boxer, spayed female, just a year of age, debuting for adoption today. Daisy reportedly adores cats, but we have mixed reports with her and other dogs. She needed us because her previous owner could not housetrain her. Boxer knowledge and/or experience is preferred for Daisy's adoption. She enjoys swimming and playing in water. If you don't have a pool, please consider getting her a wading spool and some sprinkler-like water toys for the backyard.

I am cheerful, curious, smart, and eager to please.

Update: Daisy was adopted on November 14th! Daisy's endearing personality can melt your heart. She is a stunning German Shepherd, spayed, about 18 months young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She and her mom (who will be available for adoption soon) were jammed in a crate together in our parking lot. Their owner did not speak English, but apparently was moving. The girls were very confused and staring at us intently for help and rescue. Daisy's previous owner banished her to living only in the backyard, which is unacceptable on many levels. She will need your patience and guidance (and regular routine) with housetraining and learning to live primarily indoors as a cherished member of the family. Due to this breed's intelligence and strength, German Shepherd knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for Daisy's adoption.

I lost my mommy too soon.

Update: Daisy was adopted on October 26th! Daisy was only about a month of age when she was given away in a discount store parking lot. Her mom was nowhere in sight. It is no surprise then that she needs more reassurance and tenderness, but we believe she is already well on her way to developing into a well-adjusted, well-balanced little girl. Daisy is a darling Terrier mix puppy, now 3 months of age. Now that she is spayed she is ready for adoption into a forever home. Daisy enjoys other dogs and may do best with a big brother or big sister (adult dog) to help give her guidance and build her confidence. Daisy , like all puppies, requires an experienced home.
