Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Milo , blind and 12 years of age, enjoys burrowing under blankets and treasuring peaceful moments.  He is a kind, solemn gentleman, a Dachshund mix, neutered, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Milo was at another shelter that asked for our help and his past is otherwise unknown.

Danielle , a pregnant girl with an angelic spirit, smiles bright when she hears people laughing. It puts her at tremendous ease to see people happy and merry.    We rescued Danielle from another shelter that asked for our help.    She is a unique blend of breeds, including Dachshund, and about 6 years of age. Penelope is fond of snuggling at your side while you sleep and rolling over for gentle belly rubs. She is a pretty blend of breeds (likely including Beagle, Dachshund, and King Charles Spaniel), 4 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of her rescue in January, Penelope was pregnant and she had been abandoned at a veterinary clinic. We placed her in a loving foster home and she soon thereafter gave birth to 5 babies. (Her puppies are all thriving well. They will remain in the foster home for a few more weeks before being ready for spay/neuter and adoption.)

Lina , successfully completing a 7-month rehabilitation, triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA!  She is a charming Dachshund mix and when she is excited she hops her front legs in small jumps of joy.  Lina is a Dachshund mix, 9 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and housetrained.  At the time of rescue she was wounded (unknown cause) and nearly completely hairless from severe skin allergies.  Since then Lina has healed well and on a special diet (fish) she has thrived and regrown most of her hair.  Please come meet this valiant little lady!

Tyler is young at heart, a snuggly senior with a colorful personality who asks for your consideration.  He needs a loving home.  Tyler is exceptional with other dogs.  He is a tuxedo Dachshund mix, about 10 years of age and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these incredibly sweet new portraits to help spotlight Tyler . He needed us due to his previous owners' financial hardship.

Ally is especially soulful for her young age.  She is an affectionate and lovable Dachshund mix, 10 months of age, a junior puppy, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue she was in peril from the deadly parvo virus.  Thanks to our advanced medical care fund, we had extensive veterinary care provided for her and she made a full, beautiful recovery!  Ally is ready to begin her new life and bless someone with her unconditional love.

Fletch is so well-behaved and housetrained that this fire hydrant has nothing to worry about.  Fletch is an incredibly cute Dachshund mix, 2 years young, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is good with kids and dogs, but lost his previous home due to chasing cats.  Fletch loves playing fetch with rope toys and his dazzling smiles are heart-melting.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this fun portrait to help him find a forever home.

Jackie Maddy Moe Moe , and his sisters, Jackie and Maddy , are lovingly nicknamed "The Peppy Puppies" and they are now ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. These angels were just a week of age at the time of rescue.  Their mother, named Joy (who is also ready for adoption and pictured below), and two other adult dogs were rescued too.  Their previous owner said he "can't deal with them". We put The Peppy Puppies immediately into foster care, along with their mom, so that they could be raised and socialized in the comfort of a loving home environment. The Peppy Puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for forever homes.  We believe they are a blend of Beagle, Dachshund, and Spaniel, so we expect them to grow to medium size. The babies can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. Joy , their mother, is also now spayed, about 3 years of age, a Longhair Dachs...

Salvador has earned new consideration by making great strides in behaving and trusting.  We are so proud of this little boy.  Salvador is a handsome Dachshund & Rat Terrier mix, about 6 years of age, neutered, good with cats & dogs, crate-trained, and available for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Volunteers have done beautifully with him and special thanks also goes to Pet'ographique for this terrific portrait to help Salvador find a loving, forever home.

Mama Mia is an enchanting girl patiently awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Her favorite toys are tennis balls and she sometimes does "happy dances" on her hind legs when she greets us.  Mama Mia is a Dachshund mix, about 3-4 years of age, spayed, housetrained, crate-trained, and great with other dogs.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this elegant portrait to help Mama Mia win a loving, forever home.
