Chuck , 10, is most at ease when snuggling on your shoulder.    His previous owner passed away and he wants tons of hugs and reassurance. Chuck is a steel-grey shorthair loverboy, compatible with cats and dogs, neutered, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Chuck beams when he knows you approve of him.  He is housetrained, crate-trained, and good with other sweet dogs.  Chuck is a cute Chihuahua, 4 years of age and neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  He wants to be indoors as much as possible and relishes leisurely time in his dog bed.  Chuck needed us due to no fault of his own (his previous owner's psychological hardship).

Chuck wants so much to be held and comforted that he cries when you set him down.  He is an Indian Runner duckling, about 6 weeks of age.  (This breed is known for small wings and not being able to fly, standing tall, and making less noise than other breeds.)  A man was sitting in a park when Chuck ran right up to him asking to be held.  ( Chuck is domesticated, so the prevailing view here is that he was abandoned at a park, but couldn't feed himself and longed to be with people.)  Chuck loves to swim, but his lack of feet webbing (a birth defect, according to his veterinarian) limits his ability to dive underwater.  Chuck needs a home where he will be valued as a family member, safe for life, and where he will get all of the human interaction he wants and needs.  If you would like to meet and adopt Chuck , please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Janean.

Update: Chuck was adopted on December 18th! Chuck adores people and he loves other dogs so much that we strongly prefer finding him a home where he will have another dog (or dogs) to bond with. He is a super sweet, honey-colored Cocker Spaniel, neutered male, about 8 years of age.  He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Chuck from a government-funded shelter that ran out of space for him.  He had been surrendered there reportedly because he was not getting along with children. Please budget extra for regular professional grooming care and help him shed a bit of weight for better health.
