Trish

Trish is another rescued soul who has overcome melancholy.    She beams when people praise her, tell her it's time for a walk, or bring her meals, treats, and toys. Trish , 9, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever & Shar-Pei mix, thrives with order, routine, and stability. She is spayed and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA .    Trish cannot be around birds or small animals.    We rescued her from another shelter and her past is otherwise unknown.

Jordan & Jack came from another shelter. Both boys are friendly, sweet, playful, and neutered.    Jordan is a Chihuahua & Terrier, 5 years of age. Jack is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, 10 years of age. (We are treating Jack's sunburned nose.)    The boys are always together and always happy.  Please meet and adopt them today at Nevada SPCA .

Magic , 10, joyfully leaps in water and smiles big to let you know how happy he is.    He is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, good with other dogs, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Please get Magic a wading pool for endless hours of enjoyment. Or he would love to go with you to Lake Mead or dance around in your lawn sprinklers. Magic was at another shelter that asked for our help. He was getting depressed and losing interest in food. We placed Magic in a kennel with another dog for friendship and he is doing very well and eating heartily.

Dalton

Dalton melts hearts with his expressive face, which seems to easily reveal all of his emotions.  He is fun-loving and wonderfully friendly, great with kids and dogs, and housetrained too.  Dalton is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, 9 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help because of the skin damage and sun-burning on his nose. His new family will need to take all reasonable steps needed for continuing skin care and keep his nose protected from the sun.

Cadillac

Image
Cadillac , gloomy and confused, was found on the streets and efforts to find his previous owner were not successful.  He's been sulking and hanging his head low, but volunteers and staff are comforting him and working to keep his spirits up.  Cadillac is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, about 8 years of age and neutered, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is fine with some dogs, but dominating and intolerant with others.  Please help find Cadillac a responsible and loving home where he will be treasured.

A guardian angel who now needs a hero of her own.

My unconditional love was not enough? I could only stay if I played with the kids?

Honeybear is young at heart and enjoys chasing frisbees with the volunteers in our courtyard.  He is an angelic Chocolate Labrador Retriever, about 9 years of age, a neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Honeybear adores kind people and he is reportedly housetrained.  At the time of rescue Honeybear was at another shelter and needed us because of his age.  He had reportedly been surrendered there because he no longer wanted to play with the children in his previous family.

Adopt your very own Mermaid!

Image
If it was up to Mermaid she would never be dry.  At least a wading pool of some kind is a must for this aquatic girl!  Mermaid is a resplendent Chocolate Labrador Retriever, 4 years of age, spayed girl, now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Like her namesake, she is exceptionally loyal and may ignore people she doesn't know.  But once she bonds with you Mermaid blesses you with tremendous charm.  We rescued Mermaid from another shelter and treated her neck and back wounds.

Bud, a young Chocolate Labrador triumphantly debuting for adoption today!

Image
Bud loves to play fetch, chomp at water coming out of hoses, and snuggle in his favorite blankets.  He is a very good-looking Chocolate Labrador Retriever, 2 years young, neutered boy, debuting triumphantly for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bud was near death at the time of rescue, emaciated, suffering from ear and lung infections.  The heroic efforts of his foster mom, a veterinary technician, during the past three months enabled him to make a full recovery.  She said he is now housetrained, learning good behaviors (including not eating human food off counters), and needs a very secure home and yard for his safety.

Is there a loving home for me?

Image
Please help us find a hero for Otis .  He is a gentle old boy with a heart of gold and distraught that he became homeless on the streets.  Otis is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, about 10 years of age, neutered, and ready for a relaxed, leisurely lifestyle.  His vision is substantially reduced in both eyes due to cataracts, but he gets around well in familiar spaces and can see large shapes.  We rescued Otis from another shelter and he yearns to be loved and feel peace-of-mind, knowing that he belongs in a home.

What does being loved feel like?

Image
Guy is very timid and sensitive.  He shows signs of never being loved, as he has no self-esteem and worries that every new person he meets will start screaming at him.  His previous owner said the reason he surrendered him was: "Can't stand him".  Guy was made to live outdoors, apparently without toys. But this handsome young Chocolate Labrador Retriever is about to have a grand awakening!  Gentle care and patience will help him reach his full loving potential.   Guy is 18 months young, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Update: Duke was adopted on January 13th! Duke has a beautiful soul. He is very friendly, even-tempered, and good-natured, innocently magnificent. Duke is a small Chocolate Labrador Retriever (perhaps a mix because he is smaller than most Labs), a neutered boy of about 4 years of age. Full of kindness, we believe he could fit well into almost any home environment. We rescued Duke from a government-funded shelter that ran out of space for him. He debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I've got my brothers' backs.

Bronco, Lil' Joe, and Jesse James Bronco, Lil' Joe, and Jesse James Update: All three boys were adopted on January 8th! Just days before Christmas, we rescued 6 adorable Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix puppies who were living outside, despite the cold spell, their bellies full of worms and some ill with parvo disease. Now, after loving care and medical treatment, all 6 of the babies are thriving and blooming.  These three -- Bronco, Jesse James, and Lil' Joe -- debut for adoption today.  Unlike their brothers, they did not contract parvo.  (Their three other brothers are still recovering and we anticipate them being available for adoption too in the next 10 days.) We nicknamed all 6 boys " The Chocoholic Brothers ".  They are playful, zany, super sweet, and loving, and they have hearty appetites.  They are neutered and about 3 months of age. Lil' Joe is quite a bit smaller than his brothers, but they treat him like a prince, respect him, and (as...

I look up to you for love and good guidance.

Update: Bear was adopted on December 7th! This jolly boy would sure love to be in a forever home in time for the holidays. Bear is very friendly and eager to please, and his spirit is quite gentle and humble. Bear is a good-looking Chocolate Labrador Retriever, neutered male, approximately 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Bear from another shelter and his background is unknown. We have made progress with helping him lose weight, but he is a chunky boy and still has a way to go.  We tested him and found that he has a thyroid condition, so he will need to continue on thyroid medication with you. Please give Bear consideration.  You can ask for him by name at our front desk and we will take him to the adoption courtyard to spend time with you.
