Zane loves children. When he watches happy people, he feels at peace and grins. Zane , 8, is an endearing Chi-Weenie and he's ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . He is housetrained & crate-trained and good with other dogs. Zane's previous owner cited "traveling" as the reason for his surrender.

Kimberly has wonder in her eyes as she listens to you and tries to understand every word.  She is still a puppy, 7 months of age, a small Heinz 57 with Chi-Weenie and hazel eyes, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Kimberly was found abandoned on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.  She loves to cuddle just as much as she likes to play with her toys.

Phoenix , a young boy with a heart of gold, politely asks for your consideration.  He is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund), 1 year of age, housetrained, good with dogs, and now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Christmas Eve at Nevada SPCA .  Phoenix needed us when his previous owners moved away without him. Ethan wants to know love and peace-of-mind.  He is a tender-hearted young boy, a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund), 2 years of age, housetrained, good with other dogs, and now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Ethan likes squeaky toys and playing in splash pools.  He is very bashful and needs to continue building self-esteem and confidence.

Zia's personality joyfully springs to life when she sees children. She loves covering their faces with her puppy kisses. Zia is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund) baby girl, 6 months of age, crate-trained, good with dogs, and now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Zia thrives with order, routine, and stability. Adults make her a bit nervous, but she is drawn to gentle people.    Zia needed us when her previous owner became homeless.

Tina & Giovanni , a tiny pair of soul-mates, politely ask for your consideration. They need a home and someone to love. Giovanni , 5, a Chi-Weenie, likes following in his larger partner's footsteps. Tina greets people with joy and confidence, and then Giovanni knows the coast is clear for him to get attention too. Tina is an endearing Chihuahua, 10 years of age. Both are housetrained, good with other dogs, and blessed with loving natures. They debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Coffee is initially shy, but his heart soars with people he knows and he gives them doggie kisses and his personality blooms. He is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund), just under 3 years of age, good with other dogs, neutered boy, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA. Coffee's hind left leg doesn't bend (birth defect), but he walks and hops well.

When Donny was turned into another shelter, his previous owner reportedly said his injuries were from repeated attacks by other dogs. Donny's hind right leg was severely broken beyond repair.  We rescued Donny and had his amputation surgery performed at a local veterinary clinic.  Despite being plump, he is healing very well and adjusting to life on three legs.  Donny is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix) with a jolly temperament, 9 years of age, a neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help us find him a responsible, violence-free, loving forever home.

Genesis is getting a new beginning -- the fresh start he so desperately needs.  He was found near a Vegas highway and taken to another shelter, which then asked for our help.  Both of Genesis's ears have been severely maimed in multiple places from unknown causes (some believe from animal bites, others suspect human cruelty).  Precautions are needed in the home and yard not to snag/catch/tear his ears further.  Genesis is a very sweet, humble Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 3 years young, neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Recovering from severe neglect, Alvin does not take for granted enjoying regular meals and cozy blankets and kind attention.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help because he was emaciated and had numerous minor injuries on his body.  (The small marks on his ears appear to be from insect bites, but we can only speculate what he actually endured in a loveless home.)  Alvin is friendly and outgoing, so happy to be on the mend!  He is a chocolate & cream & white Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 2 years young, good with dogs, now neutered and triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Von cannot understand a world where those he loves unconditionally keep getting rid of him due to no fault of his own.  He is wary to give his heart again, but he wants to know the bliss and peace-of-mind that comes from being cherished and valued in a stable, loving home.  Von is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), about 7 years of age, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Von is good with other dogs and drawn to gentle people.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these endearing portraits to help Von find a lifelong hero.

Mommy , an angelic young Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), was surrendered to us pregnant in late May.  We placed her in a foster home and she had her babies the very next day.  Mommy was also a hero to two more rescued newborns who needed a mother, and she loved and nurtured them just like her own.  (All of these babies are thriving and remain in foster care.)  Mommy is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is 2 years young, great with cats & dogs & rabbits, and she delights in laying on your pillow, curled around your head.  Please share her picture and help find Mommy a magnificent forever home.

Please come meet Magnolia , a gentle young girl ready to bless you with her unconditional love for life. She is a lovely cream & white Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 3 years of age, spayed, and available for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Magnolia is good with other friendly dogs and reportedly housetrained and fine with mature kids. She is blind in her left eye (birth defect). Koko, on her debut adoption day, July 20 Koko, at the time of rescue Koko is a graceful, older girl with a very kind spirit and she is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. She is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), about 13 years of age and spayed.  Koko enjoys other sweet dogs and she adores gentle people. At the time of rescue she was found abandoned outside of a veterinary clinic with an enormous abdominal tumor. We had Koko's tumor and a small growth removed and she has healed well.  Please help find Koko a hero who will cherish her, and let her live with dignity and love during her twilight years.
