Lafayette craves attention! He is a good-natured boy and your happiness is important to him.  Lafayette is a medium-size (40 pounds) Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, 7 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  He was at another shelter that ran out of space.

Jack Flash is a happy-go-lucky youngster who loves playing ball!    He is good with other dogs and we believe he has the temperament to be terrific with kids too. Jack Flash is an attractive blend of Catahoula Leopard Dog & Queensland Heeler, 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    The white band on his muzzle appears to be the result of scar tissue (cause unknown).    Jack Flash was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.    He is a sporty boy and an active lifestyle routine is ideal for him.

Scooby is a bright-eyed youngster with tremendous potential.    He is an exceptionally attractive Catahoula Leopard Dog with chocolate merle coloration and blue sunbursts in his left eye, 2 years of age, neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Scooby is protective of women and worries about men he doesn't know getting close to the women he is bonding with. We don't know what he endured or witnessed.    What we did learn was that he had been living in a garage, day and night, for 3 months when his previous owner abandoned him with a friend and then never reclaimed him. Scooby needs an experienced home where he can learn that men can be kind and nurturing too. He will learn that his role is to love, not to protect.

Smurfette is a treasure, an engaging Catahoula Leopard Dog & Bully mix youngster, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She loves playing ball with kids!  Smurfette is eager to learn and win approval, so volunteers are able to quickly teach her new things and include her in fun activities.  She is housetrained, crate-trained, 1 year of age and spayed, and compatible with cats and most dogs.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these remarkable portraits to help Smurfette find a loving, forever home.

Queenie is a brilliant, radiant Catahoula Leopard Dog mix ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is terrific with kids of all ages, housetrained, and good with other dogs.  Queenie is about 6 years of age and spayed, homeless due to the financial hardship of her previous owner.  Queenie's big challenge is reportedly her Houdini-like capabilities.  Indoors, she is reportedly calm and content.  Outdoors though, she is reportedly so determined that she can sneak out of any yard by whatever means necessary.  For Queenie's safety, we are seeking a home for her where she will never be left unattended in the backyard.

Update: Christa was adopted on June 30th! Curious and intelligent, Christa is eager to please. She is gorgeous inside and out, with a colorful personality to match her stunning chocolate and beige markings. Christa is most likely a German Shorthair Pointer and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. She is spayed and about 2 years young. Please plan on plenty of time with her daily for walks and play to engage her mind and body. We rescued her from another shelter. Christa debuts for adoption today.

Update: Patches was adopted on April 3rd! Seemingly aware she is now safe, Patches' ice blue eyes gleam and glisten. We rescued this gorgeous girl from another shelter, so we do not have much background information on her. Patches is a very social girl with a bubbly personality. She is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, spayed, approximately 2 years of age. Patches debuts for adoption today. Please visit and ask for her by name.
