Carmella's pleading eyes reveal her sensitivity and longing for kindness. She is exceptionally gentle and cherishes praise and reassurance. Carmella is reportedly a Chihuahua & Pug mix and she is 7 years of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help.    Please visit and ask for Carmella by name.

Carmella is one of the more outgoing and affectionate guinea pigs we can remember rescuing in quite some time.  She enjoys being held and purrs when you gently rub behind her ears. She is a beautiful guinea pig, most likely an American & English breed mix, approximately 2 years young.  We love her silky caramel coloring and warm eyes. Carmella needed us when her previous owners moved out-of-state and chose not to take her. Please come meet and adopt her in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.

Update: Carmella was adopted on September 10th and Meadow was adopted on September 11th! Carmella (pictured here) and her sister Meadow are angelic Dachshund puppies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Their brothers Tony & AJ were neutered and adopted last week, so now it's their turn to find loving, forever homes. Carmella & Meadow are spayed and approximately 7 months of age. Please carefully puppy-proof your home & yard for their safety & protection. The sisters can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong companionship. Dachshund knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred. The puppies were surrendered by an owner who only said she just "can't keep them."

Update: Carmella was adopted on August 29th! Carmella is a zippy, good-natured girl with a wonderful temperament. Her heart is broken right now. She was perfectly well-behaved in her previous home, but her owner relinquished her because the family was losing the house to foreclosure. Carmella is housetrained and crate-trained. She is compatible with most dogs and she is used to being around kind, mature children. Carmella is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Shepherd. (She is smaller in person than she appears in her portrait.) She is spayed and a beautiful mix of perhaps many breeds. Please come meet this loyal, devoted, and extraordinary girl today at Nevada SPCA.
