Gentle spirits asking only for kindness -- a special moment captured.

Image
Glory and Byron were both at Pet'ographique yesterday for portraits.  Though rescued separately, and available for adoption separately, this magical moment of two gentle spirits meeting was captured and we want to share it with you. Glory is a lively & gorgeous young Dutch mix bunny, just 8 months of age, a spayed girl, ready for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room. Byron is a very petite Chihuahua, 10 years of age, neutered boy, great with other dogs, and he longs to be loved.

My family guessed wrong and I lost my home because of it.

Update: Byron was adopted on December 26th! Byron is a suave, cute, and friendly little boy. He is a Puggle (Pug & Beagle mix), neutered male, about 2 years of age. Byron , who debuts for adoption today, enjoys other sweet dogs. He will need your patience and good guidance to learn to adjust to living predominantly indoors as a cherished member of the family. Byron was surrendered to us because his previous owners believed he had eaten a bird and had a bone stuck in his throat. We rushed him into emergency medical care, but it turns out he just had a simple case of kennel cough. We had him treated and he made a strong recovery. He seems to have a sensitive throat, so a harness is preferable to a collar.

Why was I left behind?

Update: Byron was adopted on June 12th! Like hundreds of other companion animals every single day in southern Nevada, Byron was the member of a family one day and then thrown out on the streets to fend for himself the next. Nearly all of them too are completely innocent and have done absolutely nothing to deserve this dangerously reckless rejection. Abandonment in relation to home foreclosure accounts for more animals needing rescue than any other factor at this time. Byron has a tremendous amount of affection and cheer to offer a new, more committed person, couple, or family who will make a lifetime commitment to him. He is great with other cats and he sings and talks with you throughout the day. He is a large, lovable parti-colored medium hair, approximately three years young. Please meet and adopt Byron today in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms at Nevada SPCA.
