Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Mustang , still so puppy-like at 1 year of age, thinks leashes are toys. So when we attempt to put him on leash, he perceives we are playing ball and tries to "catch" it.  But Mustang is eager to please and a quick learner, therefore, kind guidance in an experienced home will help him with leash training and other good behaviors.  Mustang is a vibrant youngster, a Bully mix with gold eyes, neutered, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  He is compatible with other dogs, as long as meals and treats are fed separately.  Mustang was witnessed being abandoned at a veterinary hospital (his previous owner walked in a lobby with him, dropped the leash on the floor, and bolted).  Mustang deserves better and he is ready to love you forever.

"Adopt me and you will always know you're dearly loved." Juno is a hopeful young boy politely asking for your consideration.    He is a handsome blend (reportedly Border Collie & Bully), 1 year of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Juno was at another shelter that ran out of space.    He is compatible with some dogs, but picky about which ones he likes.    We believe Juno has the temperament to be exceptional with mature kids.

Snoopy , 12, is housetrained and good with cats and dogs.  He is distraught at the moment, confused about becoming homeless after all of these years (when his previous owner moved into a home with breed restrictions).  Snoopy's favorite things include leisurely walks and sitting at your side on the couch while reading or watching TV.  He is a Bully & American Bulldog mix with bright golden eyes, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Volunteers and staff repeatedly remark on how human-like Ricky's face is.  He looks at you deeply, trying to understand you, trying to make a connection with you.  At the time of rescue this sweet boy was limping and we worried that he had been struck by a vehicle, but he had no broken bones and he's walking well on all four legs.  Ricky is a light-chocolate & white Bully mix with golden eyes, 3 years young, neutered boy, now ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Ricky is good with other dogs and he would love to dazzle you with his fun personality.

Rocky is a very kind young boy who likes to cuddle and be close to you.  He enjoys playing fetch and he is reportedly housetrained.  Rocky is reportedly a Bully & Retriever mix, medium-size, 1 year of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Like many other blue-eyed dogs with white coats, he is deaf.  Please use consistent hand signals with Rocky and take extra precautions puppy-proofing your home for his safety.  Rocky needed us because of his previous owner's home foreclosure.

Charming Cotton Puff Downey Satin Silk At the time of rescue these angels were just three days old, born in a desert field area behind a strip mall. Since then, the six puppies and their mother, a small Bully mix, have been in loving foster care for TLC and socialization.  Their foster family did a wonderful job caring for them. The " Soft & Cuddly Puppies " are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  They are two boys ( Downey and Cotton ) and four girls ( Charming , Puff , Satin , and Silk ).  It's too early to tell, but we suspect their father is a Retriever or Retriever mix, and believe the pups will grow to medium size. All have affectionate, super sweet temperaments and adore people.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety. Their mother, named Snuggles, will be available for adoption too in the days to come.

Joanie has a sparkling personality and infinite enthusiasm to share with you.  She is a Bully & Boxer mix pup, spayed, 11 months of age, compatible with most dogs, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Presumably due to a birth defect, Joanie's nose and jaw slant in opposite directions.  But all indications are this is just cosmetic, as she eats and uses her mouth and nose normally, and this just gives her big, exuberant grins. Zelda's golden eyes are a beautiful reflection of her soul.  She longs to be loved and to feel like she belongs to someone.  Zelda is a peach & white Bully mix, spayed girl, 4 years of age, housetrained and crate-trained, and great with children.   Zelda needed us because of her previous owner's home foreclosure.

Baby Moon Bailey Dasani Lovely Arrow Margarite The Kisses Galore Puppies are affectionate babies who delight in cuddling and showering you with puppy kisses.  They are Bully mixes, spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, expected to grow to medium size, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They were rescued from a cardboard box abandoned behind a pet store.  The boys are Baby Moon and Bailey .  The girls are Dasani , Lovely Arrow , and Margarite . A monster exploited Moonbeam's unconditional devotion for evil purposes, using her for dog-fighting.  At the time of rescue she was a bloody mess from numerous injuries, including a large and deep gash on her right cheek.  Her countless physical scars on her neck and chest and front legs won't heal.  But in time, her heart will mend.  She is already giving us doggie kisses in gratitude.  Moonbeam is a Bully mix, spayed girl, 4 years of age, ready to continue her progress and bloom in a loving, forever, gentle home.

Jack James Jenny Jessee Joey Johnny Sisters Jenny , Jesse , and Joey , and brothers Jack , James , and Johnny , are adorable, comical, playful babies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  They have been lovingly raised in a foster home.  They are now 3 months of age and spayed/neutered.  We rescued their pregnant mom, Coppertone, a beautiful Bully & Retriever mix, in June.  Coppertone will be available for adoption in the weeks to come. Alaska Aspen Fiji     These angels are exceptionally babies debuting for adoption today. Their mother, Samantha , and siblings were previously featured on this site.  (Samantha was rescued from the mean streets, late in her pregnancy, and we placed her in a very loving foster home so she could have and raise her 7 puppies in peace and comfort). Alaska and Aspen are boys and Fiji is a girl.  They are spayed/neutered, approximately 3 months of age, Bully mixes expected to grow to medium size. Samantha, the mother Egypt, baby girl Bonzai, baby boy Sunflower, baby girl Athens, baby girl At the time of rescue Samantha was on the mean streets, trying to survive, late in her pregnancy. We placed her in a foster home and she shortly thereafter gave birth to 7 babies.  Samantha is a devoted mom and she successfully raised all 7 of her puppies in a loving environment. Samantha and four of her babies are now spayed/neutered and ready for adoption.  (The other three need more care and will be ready for adoption in the weeks to come.) Samantha is a beautiful Bully mix, 4 years of age.  Her babies are about 3 months of age.  Bonzai is a boy and Athens , Egypt , and Sunflower are girls. We are so proud of Faith and the immense improvements she is making, thanks to loving care and attention from volunteers and staff. At the time of rescue she was gruesomely injured from being used as "bait" by some human monster to train his dog to fight.  Her leg was severely broken and she had head wounds. Physically, Faith healed long ago.  Emotionally and psychologically, she is still a beautiful work in progress, though her strides are so tremendous that her fear is less of people -- she LOVES people! -- but fear of new situations.   So, an experienced, patient new owner is needed for her. Faith is a unique Heinz 57 (blend of breeds) with Bully.  She is spayed, 2-3 years of age, and very hopeful someone will see her potential and help her realize it. Please ask for Faith by name and spend time with her in our adoption courtyard.  She is very energetic and athletic, so an active lifestyle (or semi-active) is a necessity. Didi is dazzling us with her progress! When we first rescued her she was torn between wanting to be near us or wanting to hide because she had little self-confidence. Thanks to attention from volunteers and staff, Didi now sees people as comforting and delights in bonding and soaking up adoration. She is a chocolate Bully mix, spayed, just over a year of age.  Ready for adoption for a few months now, she hopes she can get a fresh look by potential adopters in light of her improvements. Didi reportedly loves children and she is compatible with some dogs.  A very secure home and yard is needed for her because she reportedly would jump over a 6-foot wall when she got lonely.

Update: Bentley was adopted on January 29th! A joyful youngster with a robust spirit, Bentley holds tremendous loving potential. He seems almost unfazed by the cruelty he endured.  At the time of rescue he was being viciously punched and kicked by a man on a sidewalk.  Physically and emotionally, he has recovered better than expected. Bentley still looks like a puppy, though we believe he is about 18 months of age.  He is most likely a Retriever & Bully mix.  He is now neutered and debuting for adoption today. We believe he will do best with basic dog training.  He is eager to please, so we think he may be a fast learner. Please adopt him and shield him from ever seeing the darker side of human nature again.

What an endearing young girl Roxy is, her soulful eyes mesmerizing. She is sensitive and reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and fine with mature kids.  A medium-size Heinz 57, steel grey, with Bully, she is spayed and about one year of age, debuting for adoption today. Roxy has made an astounding, full recovery from the dreaded parvo virus.  Several weeks ago she was at a local veterinary clinic, so critically ill she could barely move, dehydrated, and her owner at that time could not or would not pay for the medical care needed to save her life.  The hospital contacted us and asked us to take Roxy, which we did, and she was rushed into emergency medical care for treatment. She has unconditional love to share, and now she has the opportunity to bless someone special, or a couple or a family, with all of her heart.

Rojo Grande is a mellow, easy-going girl. But solitude makes her anxious, and if left alone unattended, she reportedly tries to escape to find people again.  This is reportedly why she lost her home.  Her previous owners said she could jump a 6-foot wall or fence when left alone. The good news for Rojo Grande is that there are a number of helpful options to keep her safely secure in your home, including crate-training when you are gone. Rojo Grande is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with cats and dogs.  She is a medium-size Retriever & Bully mix with mocha coloring, spayed, and approximately 7 years of age.

Update: Mars was adopted on January 8th! Mars is a super cute puppy, eager to please, but needing direction from an experienced owner. He play-bites, sometimes hard, a behavior that should have been corrected in his previous home.  With professional dog training, Mars will channel his energy into good behaviors and learn that biting is unacceptable. He is approximately 6 months of age, a Retriever & Bully mix, growing to medium size, neutered, and available for adoption today. Please give him the good guidance he needs in order to reach his full loving potential.

Update: Kingdom was adopted on November 2nd! For those of wary of the Bully breeds, this sporty boy may challenge their thinking. Kingdom is a good looking champ, playful to the point of often being silly and goofy, and he is very loving. He insists on frequently shaking hands/paws with you, expressing his goodwill and contentedness. We had Kingdom neutered and he debuts for adoption today.  He is just a year of age and cloaked in a tuxedo that God made for him. We rescued Kingdom off the streets, where he was scampering about with no one to care for him, unfixed and not micro-chipped, and in danger of being struck by a vehicle.
