Brady

Brady is so light-hearted and agile we keep forgetting that he's not a puppy and doesn't have four legs. He is terrific with cats, dogs, and kids, plus housetrained too. Brady is a Wirehaired Fox Terrier & Miniature Schnauzer mix, 5 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He adjusted to only one hind leg long ago (and we don't know what happened). Brady's previous owner was reportedly very ill and he was being neglected. We hope Brady never loses his puppy-like innocence.

Can I share my joy with you?

Brady is one of the bubbliest babies in memory -- when excited, a fluffy blur of wiggles and kisses!  He is a Lhasa-Poo puppy, about 9 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. Brady loves being the center of attention and we hope he never loses his innocence and joy for life.  He adores people and dogs and needs regular professional grooming.  At the time of rescue Brady was found abandoned in Las Vegas and he was ill.  Brady is now well and eager to share a lifetime of entertainment and unconditional love as a valued member of your family.

Please help me learn that my only role is to be a loving member of the family.

Update: Beau was adopted on February 12th! Beau is a loyal, outgoing boy with an electrifying smile. He is a handsome Shepherd mix, neutered, 3 years young. Beau is well-behaved on many fronts -- he is housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with both cats and dogs. But perhaps he is devoted to those he loves to a fault. So while Beau is exceptional with his owners and others he trusts, he feels he must be very protective against strangers. This is why he lost his home. An experienced owner needs to help him change his perspective so that he understands his "job" is to be a family member, not a guard dog. Please only consider Beau if you are willing and able and 100% committed to providing dog obedience training for him. He has begun training with us and he is thriving with the attention. We may be able to help with further training (please see the staff for more details on dog training enrollment).

Let's be each others' heroes.

Update: Brady was adopted on December 23rd! With his chocolate Batman mask-like facial coloring (including erect, alert ears), Brady has a stunning appearance. He is most likely a Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix. He is neutered and about 2-3 years of age. Brady is cute and shy, with the exceptional potential to be a cherished family dog. Besides being compatible with other dogs and kind children, he is reportedly housetrained. Brady lost his home due to "barking" - but this is a behavior generally easy to address in an experienced home, and usually results from isolation. Brady debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

We each made full recoveries from the attacks.

Update 2: Bobbi and Brady were adopted on October 12th! Update: One of the three puppies, Grady, was adopted on October 10th! Grady (pictured here), and his sister Bobbi and brother Brady, had lacerations on their swollen heads at the time of rescue, back in early September. The three had been the victims of brutal attacks, presumably by another dog. Following weeks of medical and foster care, they bounced back beautifully. Today, they debut for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We are calling them " The Toy Sweetheart Puppies ." They are bubbly, lovable small Heinz 57 mixes (perhaps with numerous small breeds mixed in, just making them that much more adorable!). They are spayed/neutered and approximately 3 months of age. The Toy Sweetheart Puppies can be adopted separately. But please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. They have already been through so much together.
