Amy - a senior Boston Terrier who needs a hero.

Image
Will you please help us find a hero for Amy ?  She's a senior Boston Terrier, quite spunky for 12 years of age, a spayed girl with a very sweet and humble temperament.  Amy is mostly deaf and at the time of rescue she had a growth on her forehead and dental problems.  Consistent hand signals are important for communication with her, and her growth has been removed and her dental cleaning and extractions completed.  Amy is now ready for a loving, forever home.  She is reportedly housetrained and good with cats, dogs, and kids.  Please ask for her by name at Nevada SPCA.

Joey, a 13-year-old Boston Terrier with a very gentle soul.

Image
Joey is a 13-year-old Boston Terrier who is tugging at our hearts and we want to find him the most comfortable and loving home for his twilight years.  He needed us when his previous owner became incapacitated.  Joey loves other gentle dogs and humbly asks for so little, just wanting kindness and respect and caring.  Joey is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with cats and mature kids.  Please ask for Joey by name when you visit Nevada SPCA.  People who adopt senior animals usually experience rich emotional rewards, along with immense gratitude from the animals they welcome into their families.

Update: Curtis was adopted on November 11th! You may remember " The Boston Jack Puppies " who were featured on this site last month.  All three -- Cammy, Micky, and Super -- were adopted within 48 hours of their adoption debuts, and their nickname is based on their reportedly being the offspring of a Boston Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier. Curtis , their brother, triumphantly debuts for adoption today.  At the time of rescue all four puppies had been exposed to the parvo virus, but Curtis was the only one who developed the disease. We had emergency medical care provided to him at the veterinary hospital, and after extensive treatment, he made a full recovery. Curtis is just under 4 months of age and we expect him to remain small in size.  He would love to score a committed forever home, just like his siblings.  Curtis is playful, affectionate, and so grateful to be alive. His life was saved thanks to donations from caring people like you.  Nevada SP...

We are ready for our big debut!

Mickey Super Cammy Update 2: Cammy and Super were adopted on October 23rd! Update: Mickey was adopted on October 22nd! Cammy and her brothers Mickey and Super are nicknamed " The Boston Jack Puppies " because they are reportedly Boston Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier mixes.  (Their brother Curtis will be available at a future time, but he had been exposed to the parvo virus and we are providing him with medical care to conquer the disease.) They needed us when they were rescued outdoors, their momma nowhere in sight, and they were in great need.  Cammy, Mickey, and Super are bouncy, fun-loving, outgoing babies and they need plenty of daily playtime to express their curiosity and release energy. The Boston Jack Puppies are now spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, and ready for adoption into forever homes.  They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong love and companionship. As we always mention with ...

Thanks to you, we survived a terrible disease.

Update: Capone and Max were adopted on July 22nd! These tiny brothers were in grave danger at the time of rescue, sick with the parvo virus. Their previous owner was unwilling or unable to pay for the emergency care needed to save their lives. We had this care provided for them, and after extensive treatment, both made full recoveries. Capone and Max are now having crazy fun, enjoying playtime with great zest and zeal. Capone and Max are reportedly mixes of Boston Terrier and Chihuahua. The boys are neutered, approximately 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. Capone and Max can be adopted separately. But please consider adopting the boys together for lifelong companionship. Our ability to save and protect innocent life is 100% dependent on caring people like you. Update: Mopsy was adopted on April 5th! Cotton Tail (pictured here) and her sisters Mopsy and Flopsy (whose pictures are available on our primary web site ) are Boston Terrier mix puppies debuting for adoption today. These baby girls are reportedly mixed with Corgi, according to their previous owner, but we cannot confirm this. They are spayed, about 4 months of age, and will remain small or grow to medium size at most. Cotton Tail and her sisters are shy and very sweet, timid with new people but warm-hearted and loving with those they trust. We believe the girls will do best in a gentle, experienced home with a steady lifestyle routine. Please provide good guidance and offer them patience with their socialization. Cotton Tail and her sisters needed us because their previous owner said she could not keep them in an apartment. The girls can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong love and companionship.

They played a dirty trick to get rid of us.

Update 2: Jackson was adopted to rejoin his brother Max in a loving home on March 29th! Update: Max was adopted on March 27th! Max (pictured here) and his brother Jackson are young sweethearts we nicknamed "The Bogle Brothers". The boys are friendly, attractive, playful, and very good-natured. Max & Jackson are reportedly a designer breed, called Bogles, which are mixes of Boston Terrier & Beagle. Both have brown brindle & white coloring, they are neutered, and just one year of age. Max is more demure, while Jackson is more quizzical. Both enjoy other sweet dogs. They can be adopted separately, but they are a wonderful pair. Please consider adopting them both for lifetime love and companionship. Max & Jackson needed us after their owners left them with a dog-sitter and then never returned. Certainly, they deserve better than that.

Unconditional love and loyalty are my greatest gifts.

I adore loving children!

She is housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. She is fine with some dogs, but picky about which other dogs she likes. Boston Terriers like me can be quite energetic.

He is neutered and approximately 4 years of age. Roscoe P. Coltrane is fine with some dogs, but reportedly lost his home due to fighting with a relative's dog. He is housetrained and fine with older, mature children. We had his cherry eye condition repaired at a local veterinary clinic. Please have your own veterinarian monitor the eye on a regular basis in the years to come. Boston Terrier knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for his adoption. Roscoe P. Coltrane debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Adoption is forever, so please do not let me down.

Update: Gotti was adopted on July 31st! Gotti is full of character and after spending even just a few minutes with him his whimsical personality is revealed. He is well-behaved too. He is reportedly compatible with mature children and housetrained (though he sometimes marks when left alone and uncrated). Gotti is an exceptionally cute Boston Terrier, neutered male, just a year of age. Gotti needed us when his owner determined that he required more room to play in than a small apartment could provide. We do not know his particular past situation, but generally we find that space is not a key issue with dogs as long as they have regular play-times and walks they can count on. The ideal new owner for Gotti will be knowledgeable about Boston Terriers and tolerant of a young boy who still acts very much like a puppy. He is ready for adoption beginning today at Nevada SPCA.

I need your patience please.

Update: Ollie was adopted on July 16th! Ollie is cautious with new people and new situations. He wants and needs reassurance that the world is safe and kind. Ollie appears to have come from a very caring home. He reportedly needed Nevada SPCA only because one of the children was severely allergic to him. However, very early in his life as a young puppy, we believe he was not socialized. His skittishness should diminish with time in a patient, experienced home with a stable routine. Ollie debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a handsome Boston Terrier with a very sweet nature. He is a neutered male, approximately 2 years of age. Ollie is housetrained (with a doggie door), fine with other friendly dogs, and reportedly compatible with mature, gentle children. Boston Terrier knowledge and/or experience is needed for his adoption.
