Taz is so much fun it's nearly impossible not to smile every time you see him. He is a junior puppy, only 8 months of age, an attractive blend of Border Collie & Kelpie & Shepherd, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Taz needed us when he was at another shelter that ran out of space. Please plan on an active lifestyle routine and plenty of quality playtime and bonding daily.

Gabriella , an amiable and intelligent young girl, wants to ensure that the people who she adores never abandon her. Reportedly handed around from home to home, she became traumatized by continuously losing those she loved. Separation anxiety developed -- fearing every goodbye is forever -- and it will take her time and extraordinary patience on your part for her to realize she can always depend on you to come back to her. (There is no single and instant remedy for separation anxiety, but we can talk with you here about crate-training, steady lifestyle routines, and other reasonable measures that are effective.) Milan is recovering from starvation and he is desperate to know what a loving home feels like. He is not used to people paying attention to him. We look in his eyes and he thinks he has done something wrong. But Milan is beginning to bloom. Other dogs around help him with feeling confident. He doesn't know how to walk on a leash, but if you kneel down and talk softly and look away, Milan will crawl to your lap to see if you will let him sit close to you. Sophie is a luminous junior puppy with such a wonderful, jovial spirit you cannot help but smile every time she is in your presence. Sophie is a Border Collie mix, 11 months of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . She was found in peril running on a busy street. We traced and located Sophie's previous owner, who had "purchased" her as a "gift". She refused her. We want to find someone loving and responsible for Sophie who understands that adoption is forever and that animals are not gifts or toys, but instead are valued members of families. Hazel , so surprised she is getting attention, glows as she realizes that the cruel days are over.    She is a gorgeous Border Collie mix, 4 years of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Hazel's previous owners reportedly denied her of love, socialization, and indoor access in a heartbreaking attempt to make her "a guard dog". This treatment caused her to become severely withdrawn and sullen, resulting in her abandonment at another shelter. Hazel is starved for kindness and praise. She is timid with new people, but bursts into the warmest smiles when she knows people are happy with her.    Please help find someone wonderful for Hazel !

Alicia is a vibrant young girl overflowing with hope and joy.  She is a beautiful Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog mix, 3 years of age and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Alicia is fine with some dogs, but people are who she is most interested in.  We adopted Alicia earlier this year, but she was returned for no fault of her own (when her previous owner determined he needed a 'service dog' instead).  Alicia is very intelligent and an active lifestyle routine is ideal for her.

Alicia , a radiant young girl, needs someone to devote herself to. She is intelligent, devoted, and athletic. Alicia is a gorgeous blend of Border Collie & Australian Cattle Dog, 3 years of age and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    She is wary of strangers and needs time to warm to new people.    Alicia needed us due to her previous owner's disability and inability to handle her high energy level.

You may recall Joanie from earlier this year, a deaf young mother and her 5 newborns found abandoned in a vacated house.  Joanie , a small Border Collie and Cocker Spaniel mix, 2 years of age, is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Her babies are doing beautifully and will remain in a loving foster home until they are ready for their spay/neuter surgeries.  Joanie is exceptionally kind and humble.  Please use consistent hand signals and other body language to communicate with her, as well as take thorough safety precautions for her throughout your home and yard.  Please share this angel's pictures to help her find a forever home.

Cersei is a sunny, well-behaved young girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a beautiful Border Collie & Shepherd mix, 2 years of age and spayed, housetrained and crate-trained.  Cersei loves kids and she gets along well with some dogs.  At the time of her rescue in the spring, she was emaciated and we placed her in a loving foster home for recovery.  Tests show she has a pancreatic enzyme deficiency.  Cersei takes medication twice-daily with her meals (and the medication is inexpensive).  An active lifestyle is ideal for this robust and radiant youngster.

Yukon was at another shelter and needed us because of an open wound on her front leg.  She had been confiscated from her previous home by an officer, but we have no further details on how she was injured.  We rescued Yukon and she is now healed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is a glowing, hopeful Border Collie mix, about 7 years of age and spayed, and fine with some dogs (but picky about which ones she likes).  Please help find her a forever home where she will be treasured and never the victim of violence again.

Robert is a sporty young Border Collie mix who loves to play fetch. He is a charming boy, 2 years of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Robert is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained and compatible with older kids and most dogs. Raven was at another shelter that asked for our help so she could recover from starvation. She is heartily eating premium food and treats and she has gained 5 pounds in the past 4 weeks.  Raven is still very slender, but her progress can now continue in a loving, forever home. She is a charming blend of Labrador Retriever & Border Collie, 2 years young, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Raven is blessed with a fun-loving temperament, a dazzling smile, and beautiful blue sunbursts in both eyes.

Jolly & Hallie are ready to bring you smiles and unconditional love for life.  This strongly-bonded pair of soul-mates debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Jolly is a Border Collie mix, boy, about 10 years of age.  Hallie is a medium-size Labrador Retriever mix, girl, about 5 years of age.  They are reportedly housetrained and good with kids.  We rescued Jolly & Hallie from another shelter so they could remain together forever.
