Raider , a vibrant youngster who loves playing ball, overflows with joy when you smile at him.  He is a handsome blend of Shepherd & Siberian Husky, 2 years of age, neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Raider was adored by his previous owner, an octogenarian, who could no longer care for him.

Charleston & Sierra are jovial youngsters and soul-mates with tremendous charisma! Both are 3 years of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    Charleston is a boy, a Malinois (Belgian Shepherd) mix. Sierra is a girl, a German Shepherd.    They are adore people, but get very agitated if they see another dog.    Please help find them a responsible, stable forever home.

Harley & Bella glow with joy. Though they lost their home (for reasons unknown), these soul-mates didn't lose their purpose. Their lives are devoted to each others' safety and well-being. Harley , 13, is a "guide dog" for Bella , 12. She has lost most of her hearing and vision, but stays by Harley's side and knows he will look out for her.    Harley is a Belgian Shepherd mix and Bella is a Labrador Retriever. They debut for a hero adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    We rescued them from another shelter so they could stay together forever. Talisman , a magical and enchanting youngster, wants someone who will treasure him dearly, for life.  He is a stunning blend of Belgian Shepherd & Siberian Husky, 1 year of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Talisman is compatible with other friendly dogs who are medium in size and larger (but his compatibility with small dogs is currently unknown).  He needed us after he was found on the streets. Talisman's previous owner was found, but failed to reclaim him.  He deserves a responsible, stable owner who can provide him with a safe, loving home.

Nascar is in heaven with all of his attention here, running into the arms of volunteers and staff for big hugs.  He is a very attractive puppy, a Belgian & German Shepherd mix, about 9 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Nascar is starving for attention because he was unwanted and unloved in his previous home, kept on a long cord.  One of our volunteers discovered him posted on a classified ads web site, his previous owner threatening to take him to a "kill shelter" if no one came for him immediately.  Please give him kind guidance, a stable lifestyle routine, basic training, and an abundance of love and attention!

Update: Rosco was adopted on February 22nd! Rosco is an intelligent boy with a sparkling personality. He is an especially handsome Belgian Shepherd, Tervuren, neutered, about 4 years of age. Besides being compatible with other dogs, Rosco is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained.  We do not believe he has ever been around children. Rosco needed us due to "condo problems" with his previous owner. Shepherd knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

Update: Abby was adopted on July 31st! Abby's angelic nature reveals itself not just in her behaviors, but in her eyes and smiles too. She is a super sweet, friendly, and endearing young girl. Abby is a gorgeous Belgian Shepherd mix, spayed, just under 2 years of age. She needed us when her previous owner lost the family home to foreclosure. Abby is compatible with dogs and kind children, and housetrained and crate-trained too. But she plays too rough with cats to be around them. Please visit and ask to spend time with Abby in our courtyard today.

Update: Kane was adopted on March 26th! Brilliant and exceptionally handsome, young Kane is completely enchanting. He is a Belgian Shepherd (Malinois variety), neutered male, about one year of age. Kane is very well-behaved. Besides knowing basic training commands, he reportedly is fine with dogs and cats, plus housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. He will bloom beautifully in a gentle, experienced home with a steady lifestyle routine. Kane is head-shy and shows the classic signs of past abuse. While very jumpy with and suspicious of strangers, he is drawn to those with tender manners and soft voices. Kane debuts for adoption today. Please visit and ask for him by name.

Update: Braun was adopted on March 13th! The more you take a deep look at Braun , and consider his temperament and nature and personality, you see that he is a spectacular jewel. He is a handsome, unique blend of Belgian & German Shepherd, neutered male, approximately 7 years of age. Braun is a well-behaved gentleman, compatible with dogs (but reportedly tries to herd cats), and our guess is that he would enjoy kind, mature children too. Cheery and eager to please, this intelligent boy will want to accompany you and help you as much as possible. We rescued Braun from another shelter. Shepherd knowledge and/or experience is preferred (but not required) for his adoption. Please come meet him today.

Update: Mojo was adopted on March 6th! Jubilant, outgoing, and handsome, this young boy dazzles with his zest for life. Mojo is a Belgian Shepherd mix, neutered male, just a year of age and still very puppy-like in behaviors. He adores children! Mojo is reportedly housetrained. Please plan on regular brushing and grooming for him. He needed us due to his previous owner's financial collapse. Mojo will thrive with basic dog obedience training. Please only consider him if you are willing and able to provide training for him. Mojo debuts for adoption today.

Update: Osa was adopted on March 26th! Noble and full of grace, Osa is a calm-natured older girl with timeless appeal. Osa is a lovely Belgian Shepherd mix with a coat of chocolate & gold. She is spayed, about 9 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. Osa needed us when her owner moved away without her. She is housetrained (with a doggie door) and gets along fine with other friendly dogs. Please plan on periodic brushing and grooming for her. Please visit and ask for Osa by name.

Exceptionally handsome and outgoing, this young boy radiates happiness and energy. Boston is a Belgian Shepherd, neutered, and approximately 3 years of age. Boston has had some basic training. He is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. In addition, he is compatible not only with other dogs, but also reportedly with mature kids and some cats. But he is very strong and needs more obedience training. Please only consider Boston if you are 100% committed to providing additional training for him. Belgian Shepherds are known for their intelligence, so herding dog knowledge and/or experience is important too. Boston needed us due to his owner's financial collapse. Update: Abby was adopted on October 8th! Abby cherishes children. She loves to give them kisses. She is a gorgeous Belgian Shepherd mix with golden brown & chocolate brown coloring and a lovely smile. Abby is spayed and just one year of age. She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is reportedly crate-trained and "almost" housetrained. She enjoys playing with and living with other dogs. Abby needed us because her owners are divorcing.

Update: Taro was adopted on January 8th! Taro is a handsome, smart youngster who we believe will make progress quickly in an experienced home committed to dog training. He is a medium-size, brindle Heinz 57, perhaps with Belgian Shepherd or Akita. He is neutered and 18 months of age. Taro is a loyal boy with tremendous potential. He has been the victim of abuse, so trusting people takes time and patience with an experienced dog owner/caretaker. We rescued Taro from another shelter. With training and renewed self-esteem, this young boy will bloom. He will reward you with a lifetime of unconditional love.

Update: Mia was adopted on July 21st! Mia is a gorgeous, loyal, intelligent, and well-behaved girl. She is most likely a Belgian & German Shepherd mix, spayed female, approximately 4 years of age. She knows basic training commands and she is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. Mia was surrendered to Nevada SPCA due to her food aggression, which most likely was the result of her experiencing starvation and fear of death earlier in her life. This behavior was reportedly displayed around children (through nips and warnings, not bites) and other animals. Food aggression can be successfully tackled in an experienced, adult-only home with the help of a dog training program. With this professional guidance, Mia will undoubtedly be an exceptional companion and family member. She looks into the eyes of those she likes and trusts and you can see that she is full of love and desperately wants you to be happy with her.
