Esther , a spunky little acrobat, refused to stop playing today to take a portrait. We took 65 pictures and she is leaping and swatting toys in all of them. Everything fascinates her, except for getting her picture taken.    Esther is a lynx point Siamese kitten, 4 months of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.    Please consider some kitten tunnels and a cat tree for endless hours of amusement. Esther was found roaming the streets without her mother. She apparently was not socialized with other cats, so please be very patient with her adjustment time if you have a resident cat at home already.

Josie is an outgoing junior puppy with a beautiful prance in her step.  We love seeing her head held high, her recovery complete, and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Josie is a steel-grey & white Bully mix, 7 months of age, crate-trained and compatible with mature kids.  An active lifestyle routine is ideal for this playful girl.  At the time of rescue she was perilously ill with parvo, but thanks to donors to Nevada SPCA's advanced veterinary care fund we were able to provide her with extensive treatment that saved her life.  Please visit and ask for Josie by name. 

Candice is an adorable baby girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a playful puppy with a bubbly spirit, but she is giving us her "worried face" for the picture (unsure about the camera).  Candice is a Heinz 57 with red-chocolate & white coloring and dimples, perhaps a blend of Hound & Boxer & Bully, expected to grow to large size, now spayed and almost 5 months of age.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. She gets along very well with other dogs.  At the time of rescue Candice was found on the streets of Las Vegas with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, and not spayed).

We love Da'Mia's enthusiasm!  She is a bubbly puppy, well-behaved, and so eager to join a loving, forever home.  Da'Mia is a Bully mix, 9 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. She is reportedly great with kids and dogs, plus housetrained too.  At the time of rescue Da'Mia had eaten an entire bottle of over-the-counter painkillers and her previous owners said they could not afford veterinary care.  Da'Mia fully recovered.  She anxiously awaits your visit!

A Nevada SPCA volunteer named Annie heard the cries of a distressed, hungry kitten coming from a sewer along a Las Vegas street.  She and her boyfriend went down the ladder into the sewer, and after some time, were able to capture  the baby.  Camille is now 3 months of age, spayed, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is an adorable Marbled Tabby and she loves belly rubs.  Camille belongs in the safety of the great indoors, loved and cherished, for the rest of her life.

An indoor-only life of pampering is perfect for Meg .  This baby girl was just a few weeks old when found alone in a recycling yard in distress without her mother.  Since then Meg has been lovingly raised and socialized in a nurturing foster home (and she wears a bell on her collar for good fortune, courtesy of her foster mom).  Meg is now 5 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for her safety. Meg adores people and craves attention.  She can be fussy with other cats, so being the only cat in your home may be ideal for her.  Please ask for Meg specifically by name when you visit.

Catalina is a cuddly, tender-hearted junior puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Malti-Poo (Maltese & Poodle mix), about 9 months of age and now spayed.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Catalina enjoys other sweet dogs and she needs regular professional grooming.  The kind woman who picked her up off the streets was able to locate her owner, but the person shocked her by telling her just to keep the dog because she didn't want "it" anymore.  Catalina deserves better and she is ready to bless someone with lifelong love and devotion.

Amos Matilda Walter Matilda and her two brothers, Amos and Walter , have been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home with cats and dogs. Their foster mom, Julie, said they love to lay in your lap and stay there for as long as you will allow. The kittens' mother was pregnant at the time of rescue and we placed her in the foster home so that her babies would be born in the peace and comfort of a home environment.  Their mom has since been spayed and adopted. Amos , Matilda , and Walter are now 4-5 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  All three have exceptionally attractive spotted tabby markings and golden brown coloring.  They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. Sinead is a sweetheart puppy, a German Shepherd mix, about 5 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She likes playing ball and cuddling. When a woman holds her close, Sinead will give her gentle kisses of gratitude for her kindness.  But when a man holds Sinead, she often cries and gets anxious.  Sinead was rescued from an abusive and neglectful home where she was reportedly doused with water when the man there got upset with her.  Sinead will learn she can trust men, but it will be an earned trust, and we ask for your help in finding her a hero for continued emotional recovery.

Lala is a bashful baby girl making a tremendous recovery, thanks in large part to the nurturing care of her foster mom.  She is a cinnamon Marbled Tabby kitten, now 4 months of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for her safety. Lala adores other cats and needs a gentle, experienced home where she will continue to gain self-esteem.  At the time of rescue she was outdoors without her mother and severely dehydrated.  Please ask for Lala by name when you visit.

Mika is a precious Chi-Weenie puppy (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), now 3 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Twiggy is a tiny baby girl with a very endearing spirit.  At the time of rescue she was at another shelter with small head wounds from an unknown origin and we were asked to help.  Twiggy's wounds are healing well and she is now debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Chihuahua puppy, about 4 months of age and spayed.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.  Twiggy loves gentle people and sweet dogs.  Please give her kind guidance, basic training, and a stable lifestyle routine.

At the time of rescue this tiny baby girl was found by a tourist in downtown Las Vegas looking for her mom or food.  We named her Janessa and she is now 3 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for her safety. Janessa is a tuxedo-clad kitten, full of personality and pizzazz, and she loves playing with toys.  She enjoys other cats and needs an indoor-only, loving, forever home so that she never again experiences the loneliness and danger of being outdoors on her own.

" Anna ", aka Anaconda , named for her stunning and unique eye coloring, is an exuberant Bully mix puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is exceptionally playful and athletic, always ready for adventure, and eager to start her new life.  Anna is about 6 months of age and now spayed.  At the time of rescue she was near a Las Vegas freeway with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tags, no microchip ID, and then unspayed).  An active lifestyle routine, with kind guidance and basic training, is ideal for this baby girl.

Shelley is a sweetheart puppy who gives you puppy kisses and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is one of the "Wrinkle In Time Puppies" who you may remember from a previous post -- rescued Shar Pei mix babies placed in loving foster homes for care and socialization.  Shelley is now 3 months of age and spayed, expected to grow to medium size.  (Some of her siblings have already been adopted and two of her brothers will be neutered and ready for adoption in the days to come.)  Please make a lifetime commitment to her and give her kind guidance and patience.

This gentle baby girl showed up one morning in someone's backyard, apparently tossed over the wall.  We named her Bindi and she is now 10 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bindi has pleading eyes and she just wants to feel safe and secure.  She is terrific with other dogs and enjoys playing ball.  We believe Bindi is a Chihuahua & Terrier mix and she will remain very small.

Tweety is a precious baby girl who craves adoration and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a petite, butterscotch & white Chihuahua mix, 5 months of age, spayed, and great with other sweet dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Girlfriend is a lovable baby girl trying to figure the world out and we want her to know love, stability, and peace-of-mind.  At the time of rescue she was a very young pup scurrying around a gas station in distress.  We placed her in a loving foster home for care and socialization.  Girlfriend is still reserved with strangers, but she is affectionate and playful with those she knows and trusts.  Girlfriend is a beautiful Heinz 57 with sandy brindle coloring and gold eyes, expected to grow to medium size, about 4 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Lovable and cheery, Baby Girl is full of smiles to share with you. She is most likely a Toy & Spaniel mix, about 6 years of age. We rescued Baby Girl from another shelter, so we do not have much background information on her. She is very social and may do best in a home with another dog to keep her company.
