Aztec

Aztec dances in ecstasy when you scratch his back.  We love and admire his cheery disposition.  Aztec is a Retriever & Bully mix, 1 year of age and still very puppy-like, a neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  He was surrendered by his previous owners who said they could not take care of him properly.

Aztec , tiny at 7 pounds, so desperately wants to bond with people.    If you sit on the floor, he'll slowly crawl into your lap. But, as the victim of severe abuse, he may panic if you try to pet him. Aztec worries that strangers will try to hurt him again. We rescued him from another shelter and his progress has been gradual and slow. We believe he adjusts best when another dog is present, so adopting him to a home with a big sister or brother dog is likely ideal. Aztec is a Longhair Chihuahua, 4 years of age, neutered, and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA.

I feel like a brand new puppy again!

We love seeing Aztec , a loving baby boy, feeling so peppy, renewed, and rejuvenated!  He is a very cute Manchester Terrier mix, 7 months of age, neutered, good with dogs, and debuting triumphantly for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Aztec was weak and dangerously ill with parvo.  We rushed him to a veterinary hospital for extensive treatments and he made a full and complete recovery!  Today is magic for him -- a day he has been awaiting for 5 weeks while he recovered.  Please help Aztec find a loving, forever home.

I love shoulder rides!

Update: Aztec was adopted on February 2nd! Foster parents are heroes. Not only do they help us save those with fragile holds on life, but they also help socialize the animals in their care, showing them the human capacity for nurturing care. Aztec's foster mom helped instill in him a sense that the world is a kind place where he is free to chase toys and look into your eyes when you snuggle him. Aztec is a singularly attractive kitten, a medium-hair tabby with striking dark brown (almost charcoal) coloring.  He is neutered and about 7 months of age. At the time of rescue he was a newborn on the streets, his momma nowhere in sight. Aztec fancies curling his paws over your shoulder while cuddling.
