Jocelyn

Image
Jocelyn is a young girl who loves winning your approval with her easy charm and fun-loving spirit.  She is a beautiful blend of Border Collie and Australian Shepherd, 2 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Jocelyn was at another shelter that ran out of space.  An active, social lifestyle is likely ideal for her, please.

Christian

Image
"Does anyone want me?" Christian longs to know where he belongs and who he can love. Christian is an attractive and humble boy, an Australian Shepherd mix, 6 years of age, good with other dogs, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    He was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity with strangers.

Hubble

Image
Hubble loves going for walks, pleading for tummy rubs, and sneaking doggie kisses on unsuspecting faces.  He is a jolly soul, a blend of Rottweiler and Australian Shepherd, 7 years of age and neutered, housetrained, good with older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Hubble needs a home where he is the only dog.

Easton and Weston

Image
Easton Weston Easton and Weston , brothers, are vibrant junior puppies with fun-loving personalities and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Easton and Weston are Australian Shepherd & Golden Retriever mixes, almost 7 months of age, good with other dogs, and now neutered. Their previous owners surrendered Easton because he was limping, but intended to sell or breed Weston . We convinced them to surrender both so we could get them neutered and ensure they do not further contribute to the animal overpopulation crisis in southern Nevada.    Easton's front left leg was broken months ago (from massive unknown trauma). Since they did not provide veterinary care for him, his leg bone healed incorrectly. (He walks on all four legs, but about 25% of the time chooses not to put weight on the leg.) Veterinarians say he is not in pain from his leg and recommended against surgery. Both boys are active and sporty. They can be ado...

Ozzy

Image
Ozzy is irresistible, especially when he's dancing, prancing, and wiggling! He is a handsome Australian Shepherd, 3 years of age and neutered, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Ozzy needed us when his previous family moved away without him. We were surprised and heartbroken to discover his fear of long hand-held objects. Ozzy is all smiles and joy with his caretakers, but when he sees them holding a mop or broom he screams loudly and fearfully. Please help us find Ozzy a peaceful, stable home where he will be treasured forever.

Chloe and her 5 babies need a foster home please!

Image
Just rescued and needing a foster hero please! Chloe and her 5 babies are among a group of 10 dogs just saved from an unstable home. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Wayne. All five babies appear to be Australian Shepherds. We suspect either their father is an Australian Shepherd or that Chloe is nursing them as their surrogate mom instead of their biological mother. We simply don't know yet, but what is clear is that Chloe is nursing them and they need to remain with her. Please share this post to help. Thank you!

Skye

Image
Skye is all about hugs and doggie kisses! She is exceptionally affectionate, housetrained & crate-trained, and great with kids. Skye is a gorgeous, unique blend of breeds (like Aussie Shepherd, Collie & Siberian Husky), a junior puppy just 9 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Skye is picky about which dogs she likes. She needed us because a member of her previous family was allergic to her.

Bebe

Image
Bebe is a jolly girl and it is easy to fall in love with her. She is a wonderfully friendly Australian Shepherd, 4 years of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. A woman spotted Bebe , in neglected condition, abandoned on a desert road and captured her. Bebe's microchip traced back to a previous owner, who refused her. Bebe is good with medium-size and large-size dogs. But it appears she cannot be around small dogs or other small animals.

Dublin

Image
Dublin is radiant and joyful, full of hope, and so eager to bless you with his lifelong unconditional devotion. He is an attractive blend of Australian & German Shepherds, 1 year young, a neutered boy, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Dublin from another shelter in the nick of time.

Ariel

Image
Ariel glows with joy and hope and she triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued this angel in December.  She was at another shelter that asked for our help due to the severe ulceration of her nose.  Since then we have had extensive care provided for Ariel and she is now on daily medication to diminish chronic skin inflammation (DLE) and needs a primarily-indoor lifestyle where she spends most of her time out of direct sunlight.  Ariel is a beautiful blend of Australian Shepherd and Border Collie, 8 years of age and spayed.  She adores people and she is compatible with some dogs.  Please share Ariel's picture to help find her a hero.

Vicki

Image
Vicki must surely be an angel on Earth, wanting to hug everyone and share her joy and kindness.  She is a vibrant Australian Shepherd & Border Collie mix, 6 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Vicki was at another shelter and needed our help.  Her left eye was malformed (by birth defect or injury) beyond repair.  Vicki has healed well from her eye removal and she is very ready to begin her new life.

Why was rage and hate directed at me?

Miranda is a very sensitive, beautiful girl who is worried someone will strike her or scream at her. Miranda has been the victim of abuse, which likely caused the old injury to her back left leg that results in occasional limping. But she is drawn to very soft-spoken people (especially if they use “baby-talk”) and she will take baby steps toward you slowly as she begins to trust you and your intentions. Please help us find her a hero. She is a medium-size Australian Shepherd & Border Collie mix, approximately 5 years of age.   We rescued Miranda from another shelter. She is good with other dogs.  In fact, another dog in the home may help her adjust.

You saved me with only minutes to spare!

Oliver is a good-natured, brilliant youngster who so longs to feel that he belongs to someone who adores him.  He is a handsome Border Collie & Australian Shepherd mix, 2 years young, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Oliver is shy with new people and in new situations, but devoted to those he knows and trusts.  We rescued this sweet boy from another shelter just in the nick of time!  Please ask for Oliver by name when you arrive.  Border Collie or Shepherd knowledge is preferred for his adoption.

Where do I belong? Where am I going?

Beau's owner passed away and you can see that his heart is broken. He doesn't know life without his mom, nor how he is supposed to fit in.  But we have Beau in the courtyard right now playing with two other dogs (Derby & Dazzler) and every one is working on keeping his spirits up.  Beau is a handsome Australian Shepherd & Collie mix, about 9 years of age, neutered boy, gentle and humble, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Beau's background is mostly unknown, but we know he led a relaxed, calm lifestyle with an older woman who adored him.   Please help us find Beau a wonderful new home.

Was it wrong to act like a puppy?

Shivers is a comical, radiant baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is believed to be a mix of Shetland Sheepdog and Australian Shepherd, expected to remain small or grow only to medium size, about 6 months of age, neutered, and good with other friendly dogs.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. Shivers needed us because he was reportedly scratching the young child in his previous home during playtime.  Puppies like Shivers need experienced homes with realistic expectations where they are allowed to be dogs, which includes playing like dogs, chewing like dogs, etc.  Please ask for Shivers by name when you visit.

I want to share my happiness with you.

Duncan is a luminous young boy with a sparkling personality and the brightest of smiles.  He is an Australian Shepherd mix with stunning coloring, 1 year of age, neutered, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Duncan loves to give hugs and doggie kisses!  At the time of rescue he was on a highway.

Please show me how to reach my full loving potential.

Tiki's loving potential is enormous!  She is smart and eager to please, and this golden young girl craves attention and kind guidance.  Tiki is a lovely Australian Shepherd & Border Collie mix, 1 year of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Tiki needs a hero because she is quite bashful and needs more socialization.  Once she understands how she fits into this world, her personality will soar and shine.

Adopt me for a lifetime of smiles.

Update: Wags was adopted on February 5th! Wags glows with kindness and good cheer. He is a heartwarming youngster, still a puppy at 11 months, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Wags is a spirited boy, neutered, medium-size, perhaps a small Australian Shepherd mix. Wags is compatible with other dogs, and because of his intelligence please plan on exercising both his mind and body during playtime. We rescued Wags from another shelter.

If you seek a warm-hearted girl, then I may be just right for you.

Update: Mira was adopted on January 5th! Mira delights in cuddling, going for walks, and sometimes playing fetch with stuffed animals. She is very affectionate and generally well-behaved, being housetrained and crate-trained, and compatible with other dogs her size and smaller, plus cats too. Mira needed us because she is anxious around young children.  Due to abuse when she was younger, she can reportedly also get anxious around brooms, belts, and strange men in hats. She is a lovely Australian Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd mix.  She is spayed, about 6 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. Her previous owner said that she prefers being in her crate indoors when home alone.

Cuddle with me and assure me that I will never be homeless again.

Update: Lowell was adopted on September 29th! Lowell loves to soak up your affection and adoration. He is a snuggly, smart youngster who is ready to bless someone special with his enormous capacity for devotion. Lowell is most likely an Australian Cattle Dog & Australian Shepherd mix. These breeds are known for their exceptional intelligence, so please be prepared to exercise his mind as well as his body. Lowell is neutered, one year of age, compatible with other friendly dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. When he ran out of time at another shelter, we rescued him. Please visit and ask for this magnificent young boy by name.
