Galileo

Image
Galileo , a brilliant youngster, offers his lifelong unconditional devotion and politely asks for your consideration.  He is an especially attractive Australian Cattle Dog, 3 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Galileo was left behind by a family evicted from their home.  Please share his picture and help him find someone stable and responsible who will never fail him.

Ricky

Image
Ricky wants to be liked. When you praise him and smile at him, he stands taller and looks at you with hopeful eyes.  Ricky is a very intelligent Queensland Heeler eager to devote himself to someone forever.  He is good with other dogs, 6 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Ricky was at another shelter that ran out of space.

Camaro

Image
Camaro is a sporty young boy building confidence and self-esteem.  He is a Queensland Heeler, 3 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We don't know what Camaro has endured. He is head-shy and worried about new people. Camaro was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his timidity.  He has enormous loving potential in an experienced home where he can continue his improvement with trust and socialization.

Amelia

Image
Amelia beams when she knows you approve of her.  She is a tender-hearted Queensland Heeler, 1 year young, spayed girl, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Amelia from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity. An officer reportedly confiscated her from her previous home for reasons unknown. We don't know what she endured or witnessed.  Amelia is desperate for praise and wants to know what a loving, stable home feels like.

Bandit

Image
Bandit is all about belly rubs, big smiles, and loyalty. He likes to know that being at your side is helpful and appreciated. Bandit glows with goodwill for the people he adores. He is a handsome Queensland Heeler, 6 years of age, neutered boy, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued Bandit from another shelter that asked for our help because he requires a one-dog household.

Janie

Image
Janie needs you to love hugs & kisses!    Her heart overflows with joy and gratitude for the people who are kind to her. Janie is now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. You may remember from previous posts that we rescued Janie from another shelter in November. Janie gave birth days later, then raised and socialized her seven babies in wonderful foster care. Janie is an Australian Cattle Dog, 1 year of age. She may need to be the only dog in the home, but this is not confirmed. (Her previous intolerance of other dogs may have been related to her pregnancy.) Janie's puppies are being spayed/neutered and prepared for adoption this week.

Zip

Image
Zip , 18, overflows with kindness and loves the reassuring touch of volunteers and staff. He is mostly deaf, but otherwise in good condition for his age. (He turns 19 in June.) Zip is a thoughtful boy, an Australian Cattle Dog, neutered, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org). Please share Zip's picture and help find him a hero. Zip was surrendered by his previous owner, for no fault of his own. He deserves compassion and dignity for his remaining time on Earth.

Samuel

Ryder is a hearty young boy with incredible intelligence and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is an especially handsome Australian Cattle Dog, 2 years of age, neutered, housetrained, and reportedly fine with cats and older kids.  Ryder likes most dogs, but his previous owner said he is afraid of dogs with Bully-like appearances because a Bully breed dog once "bit his leg off".  Ryder does not have a front left leg, but he is still very agile moves around extremely well on three legs.  Please ask for Ryder by name when you visit.

Help me forget the hate I have witnessed.

Bandit is a very intelligent, devoted young boy who enjoys playing fetch.  He is a stunningly attractive Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog), 3 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bandit is good with other dogs and housetrained.  Bandit reportedly has witnessed domestic violence and he won't tolerate fighting that appears threatening.  He needs an experienced, stable, and kind home where horrific memories fade, instead of being triggered again and again by screaming and anger.

7 Sweetheart Puppies debuting for adoption today!

Image
Be Mine Cupid Smile Heart Love Heart Valentina Valentino Forever Yours About a month ago a man was in the desert and came upon these seven puppies hiding in a bush.  Their mother, who he described looked like a "dingo", was nearby, but semi-feral, and he could not catch her.  But he knew the puppies would have no chance surviving coyotes much longer, so he collected all of them and brought them to Nevada SPCA. Now 4 months of age, and spayed/neutered, these loving babies are now ready for adoption into forever homes.  We nicknamed them " The Sweetheart Puppies " and they are three girls ( Forever Yours , Love Heart , and Valentina ) and four boys ( Be Mind , Cupid , Smile Heart , and Valentino ). They can be adopted individually, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship. We believe the puppies will grow to medium size, like their mom (who is likely a blend of many breeds).  Our best guess is they are Aust...

Darren jubilantly appreciates every day of life!

Image
Darren inspires us with his radiance and immense joy for life.  Meet Darren and prepare to be dazzled by this light-hearted, happy boy.  He is an attractive Australian Cattle Dog, neutered, 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of Darren's rescue from another shelter, his right hind leg was missing and his right eye was bursting and could not be saved.  He is adjusting well to life with one eye and long ago adjusted to life on three legs.  Please help us find Darren a hero.

The radiant Sadie!

Image
Sadie's radiance is brilliantly captured by Pet'ographique in this stunning portrait to help her find a loving, forever home.  Sadie is an intelligent Australian Cattle Dog mix, spayed girl, about 6 years of age, and she enjoys other sweet dogs.  Please come meet and adopt Sadie at Nevada SPCA.  She has been here for months, an overlooked hidden treasure, and she is trying to patiently await someone special so she can join their family.

How can I find someone who will never reject me?

Ginger is a smart, very sweet, and devoted girl with heart-melting eyes.  She is an Australian Cattle Dog mix, spayed, about 4 years of age, reportedly housetrained.  We rescued this sweetheart from another shelter.  Ginger cannot understand why she became homeless (due to her previous family's financial collapse).

I need a new loving home, please.

Update: Zeke was adopted on February 2nd! Zeke is an intelligent, noble boy with striking good looks. He is an Australian Cattle Dog, neutered, about 7 years of age, debuting today for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Zeke is well-behaved and knows several basic training commands.  He is reportedly housetrained too.  He is fine with most dogs, especially female dogs, but reportedly can get jealous of other dogs when he seeks attention for himself. He is smart and needs exercise for his brain as well as his body.   Please include him in daily activities, take him for walks, and engage him in playtime. We rescued Zeke from a government shelter that asked for our help because of being so full.  He was reportedly surrendered there when his owner moved and could not find housing that would include him.  (Please note though that many apartments and rental houses are now accepting medium size dogs like Zeke , and larger, because of the economic crisis).

I am not too big to be a lap dog.

Update: Sadie was adopted on January 11th! Sadie is a medium size girl, perhaps slightly smaller, who thinks of herself as a Toy size dog for cuddling and hugging. She loves shaking paws.  She is a lovebug, full of affection and devotion. She is an Australian Cattle Dog mix, spayed, about 7 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Sadie is very good with other dogs and reportedly fine with cats and great with kind children.  She is also reportedly housetrained. She needed us due to her previous owners' home foreclosure.

If you seek a warm-hearted girl, then I may be just right for you.

Update: Mira was adopted on January 5th! Mira delights in cuddling, going for walks, and sometimes playing fetch with stuffed animals. She is very affectionate and generally well-behaved, being housetrained and crate-trained, and compatible with other dogs her size and smaller, plus cats too. Mira needed us because she is anxious around young children.  Due to abuse when she was younger, she can reportedly also get anxious around brooms, belts, and strange men in hats. She is a lovely Australian Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd mix.  She is spayed, about 6 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. Her previous owner said that she prefers being in her crate indoors when home alone.

Please help me build confidence in myself.

Update: Peter was adopted on December 31st! Peter tries so hard to please and he yearns to fit in and belong, but self-doubt has created an emotional wall that he needs to hurdle.  This is not uncommon with dogs who were denied proper socialization as puppies. Peter is a youngster, 2 years of age, a good-looking Australian Cattle Dog mix, neutered, and very sweet.  He debuts for adoption today. In a foster home he has learned housetraining, crate-training, and compatibility with cats and dogs and mature kids.  He has even had some basic dog obedience training. A gentle, patient home with help Peter feel secure so that his personality can continue to develop.

Please consider me. I have so much love.

Update: Pepper was adopted on October 29th! Pepper is an intelligent, loyal youngster, well-behaved and shy with new people. She is a lovely blend of breeds, including Australian Cattle Dog, medium size, with a blue sunburst in her left eye.  She is spayed, about 3 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. Besides knowing basic training commands, Pepper is compatible with cats and dogs and children, plus housetrained and crate-trained too. She needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship.
