Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Abby's favorite things includes napping on your chest while you watch TV or read a book. She loves being close to the people she adores.  Abby is a gorgeous, calm-natured Abyssinian mix, 10 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is fine with other cats if they respect her personal space.  Abby needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship.

Herman Ryder Zoya Herman , Ryder , and Zoya are 3 more of the 40 rescued kittens ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA! All three were found outside without mothers. Herman is an orange tabby, neutered boy, 4 months of age. Ryder is an Abyssinian mix, neutered boy, 3 months of age. Zoya is a silver tabby & white, spayed girl, 3 months of age. Since their rescues they have been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home with a small dog and adult cats.

Pericles , wise and pensive, looks at people with great understanding and acceptance.  He is content with peaceful moments, kind words, delicious meals, and soft places to nap.  Pericles has a Bobcat-like appearance but he is actually most likely a blend of Abyssinian and British Shorthair. He is 3 years young, neutered, fine with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Pericles needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Orville & Wilbur , young brothers, Abyssinian guinea pigs with calico coloration, are ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA.  The boys are 1 year of age, and gentle and friendly with people who they become familiar with. They are bonded for life.  The brothers were surrendered by their previous owners who said their young child kept crawling into their habitat.

These three lovable, gentle young girls were surrendered to us because their previous owner said his kids had stopped playing with them.    We want to find them a caring home where they will be valued as members of the family, forever safe. All three girls are guinea pigs and 2 years of age. Nora is a cream & white Abyssinian, Joanna is a petite American, and Nina is a calico Crested.    They get along beautifully and they are bonded for life, a trio to stay together for life.    Please come meet and adopt them in our Lovebugs Room.

Minerva is making tremendous progress and she is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA in the Lovebugs Room.  She is a very cute Abyssinian mix guinea pig, about 3 years of age.  Minerva reportedly lost her previous home for biting the children.  We don't know what she has endured, but realized her main issue has been lack of socialization.  Volunteers and staff are working with Minerva and she is now thriving.  We want to find her an experienced, adult-only home where she will continue improving to reach her full loving potential.

At the time of rescue this baby girl was in a shoebox by a dumpster at an apartment complex.  She was in horrific condition from severe neglect.  We named her Via Spiga .  Now, many weeks later, she has recovered beautifully (physically and emotionally), under veterinary supervision, and she triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Via Spiga is a petite, angelic Abyssinian mix guinea pig, approximately 6-8 months of age.  Please ask for Via Spiga by name in our Lovebugs Room and show her only the best of human nature from now on.

Penny Lane is an adorable baby guinea pig debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA in our Lovebugs Room.  She is a precious, calico Abyssinian breed, about 5 months of age.  Penny Lane enjoys people and revels in gentle attention.  At the time of rescue Penny Lane had been abandoned in a neighborhood and found her way into a garage for protection and food.  We're grateful that this baby girl still believes in people despite one person's extremely cruel and reckless act.

Update: Stanly was adopted on 4/3! Stanly coos like a baby when you hold him close. He is a dashing, tri-color Abyssinian guinea pig, about 18 months young. Stanly needed us when his previous owner decided he was a nuisance. But he is a little treasure! You will be amazed at this youngster's genuine charms. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Stanly by name. Like all companion animals, he wants and needs a committed, loving forever home.

Update: Delta was adopted on November 21st! Delta is a young girl with endless baby-faced expressions. She is calm and engages kind people well. Delta is an Abyssinian & American breed mix guinea pig, about 2 years of age. She is too pleasantly plump at the moment, but will continue improving with a correct diet and opportunities to stretch her legs and explore new areas (safely contained with a pen away from electrical cords). Delta debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
