Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Tallulah is a dainty and sensitive little lady pleading for a hero.  She is a Papillon mix, 7 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Tallulah was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity with new people and new situations.  A very gentle home is ideal for her.

Aurora , a docile girl with a beautiful soul, refused to eat or lift her head after her surrender. Despair lifted when a staff person held her head in his lap and stroked her neck and shoulders. We then paired Aurora with a dog friend and she stood up and began eating her treats and wagging her tail. Aurora is a Smooth Collie & Hound mix, 7 years of age and spayed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .    She is good with kids and like getting hugs.    Her previous owners reportedly banished her to living exclusively outdoors, which is unacceptable, so please be patient as she adjusts to a proper and loving home where she is valued as a member of the family.

Debbie , 14, a most gentle angel, needed us when her previous owner moved into assisted living.    We are keep her spirits lifted with lots of holding and cuddling, as well as pairing her up with friendly dogs for companionship. Debbie is a petite Chihuahua with cute, front-folding ears and expressive eyes.    She is spayed, housetrained, humble and loving, and waiting for a hero to adopt her at Nevada SPCA .

Avalon , young boy dreaming of a life where he understands what it feels like to be treasured and cherished.  He is remarkably sweet and hopeful, a cream & white Chihuahua, 2 years of age, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Avalon's previous owners said they had "no time" for him.  He is ready to bloom and reach his full loving potential.

Galileo , a brilliant youngster, offers his lifelong unconditional devotion and politely asks for your consideration.  He is an especially attractive Australian Cattle Dog, 3 years of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Galileo was left behind by a family evicted from their home.  Please share his picture and help him find someone stable and responsible who will never fail him.

Zenia was just a few weeks old when she was found in a wash.  Since then she has been lovingly raised, nurtured, and socialized in a wonderful foster home.  Zenia is now 3 months of age, spayed, affectionate, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  She relishes cuddling as much as she enjoys her toys.

Zara , a comical junior puppy, is very eager to have fun and love someone with all of her heart.  She is a Beagle mix, 8 months of age, spayed girl, housetrained & crate-trained, good with cats & dogs & kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Zara needed us due to her previous owner's landlord policy regarding pets.

Count Mustachio was heard crying deep inside a moving mail delivery truck yesterday. Thank you very much to Kevin Mack and the other amazing people at Count's Kustoms for putting the truck on a lift and rescuing this 5-week-old baby boy! Count Mustachio is fearful of people and hisses at times, but warms to people the more they hold him and comfort him. Davenport was forlorn from becoming homeless (due to previous owners' homelessness), but perked up when paired with canine friends and engaged in games of fetch.  He is a small Heinz 57 (blend of many breeds) with very unique coloration patterns.  Davenport is 3 years young, neutered, housetrained & crate-trained, good with kids, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Warren , 14, was found wandering and disoriented near a road.  He is enormously relieved to be safely indoors and receiving fresh food and water and other tender care.  Warren is a very gentle soul and he treasures every moment of kindness he spends with people. He is also good with other cats.  Warren is neutered and ready for a hero adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Vinnie , a jazzy and fun and social youngster, seems to steal the heart of every person he meets.  He is a thoughtful boy and likes bonding with people and dogs.  Vinnie is a Jack Russell Terrier & Toy mix, 3 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, good with kids, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  He needed us when his previous owner moved away without him.

Jose loves being your baby, cradled in your arms and reassured, knowing he can count on you for kindness. A woman spotted this cute youngster scrounging for scraps of food at a dumpster near a commercial business. Seeing that he was obviously starving, she overcame her fear and captured him so he could be brought into safety at Nevada SPCA . Jose is 2 years of age, neutered, good with other ferrets, and ready for adoption today.    Please help us find him a proper, stable home where he will never know desperate hunger and loneliness again.

Stephen , now healed, is ready to share his love and bring more goodness into the world. He is a young medium-hair tabby with bobcat-like attractiveness, 2 years of age, neutered, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . At the time of rescue Stephen was found on the streets and he had been struck by a vehicle. He had head trauma and a broken hind leg.    We rushed him to an animal hospital to save his life and the veterinarians were also successful in saving his leg. Thank you very much to the generous donors who make advanced, lifesaving care for rescued animals possible.

Mario proudly prances when you praise him and tell him he's wonderful.  Your approval means the world to him and puts him at ease.  Mario is a remarkably cute Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix), 2 years young, good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Mario needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Pierre , 9, is still as inquisitive as a kitten. Human behavior fascinates him, so expect him to follow you around the house to watch you and offer his help.  Pierre is a handsome shorthair, good with other cats, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  We rescued Pierre from another shelter.  Please visit and ask for him by name.

Judy , 9, is an amiable girl who relishes belly rubs, catnaps by windows, and peaceful moments in your lap.  She is a gorgeous Maine Coon mix, spayed, good with other cats, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Judy needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Da Vinci , brilliant and quirky, hopes someone wonderful can see his tremendous potential. He is a Toy & Chihuahua with a curly-Q tail, 2 years young, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Da Vinci was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his violent past.  He is no-nonsense with strangers, assessing their intentions, but joyful with dogs and people he knows and trusts. Da Vinci is improving. His progress needs to continue with a hero who will provide a calm, stable, steady routine which he can flourish in.

Sandy likes playing fetch with small toys and hopes you will throw the objects in different directions to keep her game interesting. She is a golden-eyed, pink-nosed orange tabby & white youngster, lovely girl, spayed, 3 years of age, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Sandy was left behind in a vacated apartment and the manager of the complex heard her cries of distress.

Michelangelo is a young boy with eyes revealing the pain he has endured. Physically he is well, but emotionally he worries that people want to hurt him. He is improving daily, and this progress needs to continue with a hero in a very gentle home. Michelangelo is a Dachshund mix, 2 years of age, housetrained, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We believe he may adjust best with other dogs. Michelangelo was reportedly in an unstable home, so please be sure to give him a very steady lifestyle routine that he can count on (to help establish a sense of order and peace).

Paulie , a wonderful young boy, loves going to the park or resting at your side while you read a book. He is an adorable Yorkshire Terrier, 3 years of age, housetrained & crate-trained, neutered boy, good with dogs and older kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . Paulie needed us when his previous owner moved into assisted living where dogs are not allowed.

Meera likes exploring boxes and containers by jumping inside and rummaging through the contents carefully, searching for treasures and toys. She is an attractive tuxedo shorthair with jewel eyes, 1 year of age and spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Meera needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Stewie , 11, is a boy young at heart who likes to greet people at the door and welcome them warmly.  He is a handsome treasure and he is fascinated by catnip, rolling on it every chance he gets.  Stewie is great with cats too.  He is a tabby & white shorthair, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Gabriel , a young boy radiant with hope, is ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  He is a Tibetan Terrier & Lhasa Apso mix with blue eyes, 2 years of age and neutered, housetrained, and good with other dogs.  Gabriel can be feisty when fearful, so a hero is needed to help him continue improving from cruelty and neglect.

Pierre , a young Yorkie-Poo with a super sweet disposition, hopes you will give him consideration. Pierre needed us because his previous owners could no longer provide a stable and proper home for him.

Taft , a 25-pound sweetheart, needed us when his previous owner passed away.  He is a mellow, calm-natured boy who likes belly scratches and peaceful moments at your side on the couch.  Taft is an orange tabby with light jade eyes, 8 years of age and neutered, compatible with other cats, and awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Sunlight , pregnant and captured on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership, is understandably worried about having a comfortable and peaceful place to birth and raise her babies.    Will you please share her picture to help find her a foster hero? Eb looks at people with pleading eyes, hoping they will sit close and praise him, or bend the rules and give him his daily salad of plentiful fresh greens before 3pm.  He is a cute and friendly American guinea pig, 1 year young, and ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA .  We rescued Eb from another shelter that needed our help.

Starlight is a playful junior puppy with a delightful and fun-loving personality.  She is blend of Terrier and Toy, 9 months of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Starlight's background is mostly unknown. She was rescued from a parking lot where her previous owner gave her away for acting too much like a puppy.

Melody loves people-watching. We often find her comfortably perched on ledges so she can easily watch everyone.  When people aren't around, she moves to the windows and looks for birds and other visitors.  Melody is a beautiful soul, a medium-hair tortoiseshell, 6 years of age and spayed, good with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Star , 10, likes holding you on your shoulder and cuddling close.  She is a docile, lovely tabby, good with other cats, spayed, previously declawed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Star needed us when her previous owner moved into assisted living.  Please help her find someone very gentle and affectionate.

Mason is a calm, friendly youngster who builds confidence well when he feels comfortable.  He is a snow-white Lionhead mix bunny, 1 year of age, now neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA in the Lovebugs Room.  Mason was found abandoned on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.

Phoenix , a young boy with a heart of gold, politely asks for your consideration.  He is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund), 1 year of age, housetrained, good with dogs, and now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Christmas Eve at Nevada SPCA .  Phoenix needed us when his previous owners moved away without him. Lady , relieved to be out of enormous pain, offers her gentle and unconditional love in exchange for a forever home.  She is a delightful Longhair Chihuahua & Toy mix, 7 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Lady was at another shelter that asked for our help because her bladder was full of stones. We had surgery provided for her and she healed well. Thank you very much to the generous donors who made her advanced veterinary care possible.  ( Lady requires a special diet for life to diminish the risk of developing more stones.)

Wisdom loves rolling over on his belly in your lap and kissing you while you give him a tummy rub! Wisdom is a big, rotund teddy bear, a baby-faced Rottweiler, 4 years of age and neutered, good with kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . He may be compatible with other dogs too (unconfirmed).    Wisdom needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.    He has dry skin, but he is improving with premium food.

Thomasina , now well and the sparkle back in her eyes, is ready to join a stable, indoor-only, loving forever family.  She is a beautiful soul, a shorthair torbie tabby, 1 year, spayed girl, triumphantly ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  At the time of rescue she was found perilously ill and dehydrated on the streets. Thank you to the donors who made her advanced veterinary care possible to save her life.

Randall's heart is broken, but he is beginning to become hopeful again.  He is an adorable, gentle "Chug" (Chihuahua & Pug), 2 years young, good with other dogs, housetrained, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Randall needed us when his previous owners moved away without him.

Vivian & Melissa , sweet sisters, Beagles, politely ask for a stable, loving home where they can remain together forever.  The girls are 8 years of age, spayed, good with kids and dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA . They are soul-mates and bonded for life.

Sabrina , 5, endearing and gorgeous, looks closely at each new person and wonders if they are the ones she is supposed to love.  She is a poised and friendly German Shepherd, good with kids and large dogs, housetrained, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Sabrina was surrendered due to no fault of her own.

Demi , an adorable treasure, an American Eskimo junior puppy, asks for someone who will cherish her always.  She is 8 months of age, good with kids and dogs, now spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .  Demi was surrendered to us (previous owner said "no longer want").  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.

Dori , now well and building good strength, loves to play, meet people, and learn everything she can.  She is a beautiful baby girl, a German Shepherd, 4 months of age and spayed, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  At the time of rescue Dori was found abandoned and perilously ill with parvo virus. We rushed her into extensive emergency medical care at an animal hospital to save her life. Thank you to the generous donors who made Dori's advanced veterinary care possible.

We are helping in the search for Abe, a Labrador Retriever mix adopted from Nevada SPCA in 2012. His owners call him Tyler and he is missing. Please let us know (nevadaspca@aol.com) if you spot or capture Abe/Taylor so he can be safely returned to his family. Abe escaped from a pet boarding facility near the shelter (Decatur & Russell area in the southwest part of the Vegas valley). Thank you for your help and please share!

Lorelei , 14, a gentle soul, politely and humbly asks for consideration.    Her previous owner turned her into another shelter (for reasons unknown) and she needs a loving home. Lorelei is a blend of Jack Russell Terrier & Rat Terrier and she is spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Madison , a delightful baby girl, was found hiding and terrified inside a box abandoned on a street.  Since then she has improved emotionally and physically and finds joy with toys, people, and other dogs.  Madison is now 4 months of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  She is a beautiful blend of many breeds, including Shepherd, and she is expected to grow to medium or large size.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety.

Orion , a bright youngster recovering from starvation, is eager to conquer the world!  He is not much interested in following rules or learning good behaviors, so an experienced home is needed to help kindly guide his bursting energy and enthusiasm into good behaviors.  Orion is a Siberian Husky with stunning heterochromia in both eyes, 2 years of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Orion was at another shelter that asked for our help due to his strong-willed personality and need to continue gaining weight.
