The first look Paris gives you can break your heart. It reveals such desperate vulnerability and worry that you won't like her. When she detects your acceptance and approval, her heart soars! Paris is a beautiful spirit, a Boxer & Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, 4 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity and cruel past.

Wilson , confiscated from a cruel home by officers, worries about strangers and keeps them at an emotional distance. But once he knows you like him and he hears your praise, Wilson begins to glow and he fills with hope. Wilson is a handsome Labrador Retriever, 8 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.   We rescued him from another shelter that asked for our help.

Cupcake , 9, delights in playing fetch and bonding closely with those who are sweet to her.  She is a Miniature Schnauzer, good with dogs and mature kids, housetrained & crate-trained, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Cupcake needed us when her previous owners moved to another country.

Dianne and her 3 babies, just 3 weeks of age, were rescued from a backyard breeder.     Dianne is a Yorkie-Poo and the father of the puppies is unknown. Dianne and her babies need a foster home for approximately 10 weeks. If you can foster, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Wayne. Dianne is especially protective of her babies. Cassie , a devoted mom, and her two 4-week-old babies, Joel and Ruth , were found in a family's garage trying to find protection from the desert heat. Please help find a foster home for Cassie and her kittens for approximately 8 weeks. If you can foster them, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. Cassie is very protective of her babies. They will need a secure area, ideally a bedroom or guest bathroom, separate from any other animals in the home.

Delilah , a resplendent young girl with a fun-loving spirit, needs someone to love. She is a gorgeous German Shepherd & Greyhound mix, 1 year young and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with kids and big dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Delilah needed us when her previous owner became homeless after his divorce.   Barbara is Delilah's sister and she is ready for adoption too.  The girls are not strongly bonded and can be adopted separately.

Just rescued and needing a foster hero please! Chloe and her 5 babies are among a group of 10 dogs just saved from an unstable home. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Wayne. All five babies appear to be Australian Shepherds. We suspect either their father is an Australian Shepherd or that Chloe is nursing them as their surrogate mom instead of their biological mother. We simply don't know yet, but what is clear is that Chloe is nursing them and they need to remain with her. Please share this post to help. Thank you!

Mariana Mario Santiago Mariana , Mario , and Santiago are playful, adorable babies ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. They are Mariposa's kittens. ( Mariposa has already been spayed and adopted.) At the time of Mariposa's rescue, her babies were just one day old. A nurturing foster parent helped Mariposa raise and socialize her babies. The kittens are now 4 months of age and spayed/neutered. Mariana and Santiago love to explore and find adventure, while Mario seeks out the leisurely lifestyle, content to watch his siblings from the comfort of a cozy pillow.

Layla's favorite things include games of fetch and smothering people she adores with doggie kisses. She is a beaming girl, a tail-less Heinz 57 with distinguished ears, reportedly a blend of German Shepherd & Doberman Pinscher, 3 years young and spayed, housetrained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Layla was at another shelter that asked for our help because she needs to find a one-dog household.

Jane & Patsy are sweet girls, bonded for life, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org). Both are 1 year of age. Jane is a Abyssinian guinea pig and Patsy is an American guinea pig. Jane was pregnant at the time of rescue. Patsy helped her raise her two daughters -- Anne & Mary , posted for adoption last Saturday -- as their loyal and gentle aunt. Jane & Patsy know that every day at 3pm they get a huge salad of fresh leafy greens. Beginning one hour before, at 2pm, every time we walk by they squeal in delight and anticipation for 3pm to finally arrive. Please continue their daily salads each day at a steady time you can commit to.

Brianna is one of a dozen rescued kittens asking for a foster home today, as well as a Siamese mom and her two newborns. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for Lauren. Brianna and her siblings are treasures, but they were "unwanted" by their previous owner. They are 8 weeks of age, eating on their own, and in need of loving foster care for approximately one month.

Elizabeth doesn't know it yet, but she will never be hurt again. We hug this gentle young girl and she is shocked to be treated with compassion. Elizabeth is a Plott Hound mix, 1 year of age and spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her past abuse and emaciated condition. Elizabeth has three long scars made from cuts of a sharp object behind the right side of her ear and neck. We can only imagine what she endured, and clearly, her emotional pain far outweighs what her previous owner did to her physically. We look forward to the day when Elizabeth beams and shines, fully aware she is safe, loved, and in a forever home.    Please share her post and help her find a hero for life.

Keith , a soulful baby boy, switches into zany-fun mode when you engage in play-time with him. He loves toys and his long, thin legs already have him running faster than it would seem possible at just 3 months of age. Angelisa , desperate for kindness and a sense of belonging, longs to hear praise. She is a gorgeous, young Siberian Husky & White Shepherd mix, 3 years of age and spayed, good with other large dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Angelisa from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

Raindrop , 10, shines when she knows you like her and approve of her. Acceptance is vital to her. Raindrop is safe, but she still has terrifying nightmares and screams and cries in her sleep. (She must be woken with noise or light, not touch, to prevent nipping.) Raindrop is a Shar Pei mix, good with other dogs, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued her from another shelter.

Piccolo is an endearing, well-behaved little "deer" with grace and poise.  She needed us when her previous owner was admitted to hospice. Piccolo is an Italian Greyhound & Manchester Terrier blend, 7 years of age and spayed, housetrained, and good with cats, dogs, and kids.

Frankie , a precious baby boy, loves his chew toys. If the toys are not hearty and sturdy, he can destroy them within minutes. Frankie is a super cute Dachshund puppy, 7 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. He is good with dogs and mature kids.

Liza, July 2 Liza, mid-July Liza, August 27 Wonderful update on Liza , the newborn kitten rescued from the storm drain! You may remember in early July, after a rainstorm, how a dog on a walk discovered Liza holding on to a storm drain. She was extremely fragile from poor health and eye infections. Her foster mom, Sonja, bottle-fed her every few hours, day and night, and Liza always helped her by holding the bottle too with her front paws. Liza is now 8 weeks of age and eating on her own. She is blind in her right eye, but she has partial vision in her left eye. Sonja says that "fearless" is an understatement in describing the baby. Liza leaps out of her crate for hugs, as if she can fly, jumping into Sonja's arms. Sonja will foster Liza for several more weeks. She will be ready for adoption this autumn at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org) once she has been spayed.

Jewels , a sparkling treasure, hopes you will let her bless you with her unconditional devotion.    She is a beautiful spirit, a well-behaved Heinz 57 with Shepherd (and possibly Rottweiler), 7 years of age and spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Jewels is great with cats, dogs, and kids. She needed us when her previous owner became homeless.

Giggles , a comical and jubilant junior puppy, inspires us with his enormous zest for life. He is an athletic, bouncy Jack Russell Terrier mix, 6 months of age and neutered, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Giggles was at another shelter that asked for our help because of a throat injury. We had veterinary care provided for him and he has healed well. Giggles will do best with an active lifestyle routine.

Felicia's bubbly charm is going to bring you so many years of smiles! She adores people and wants to please. She is a Bully mix with wonderful dimples, 7 years of age and spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We don't know what Felicia endured before we saved her from another shelter. She sometimes screams when she mistakenly believes a person is going to hit her or step on her. We want Felicia to realize she is never going to be struck again.

Anne & Mary , baby sisters, need a home where they can stay together forever. The girls are American & Crested guinea pigs, 1 month of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The girls love their daily, hearty salads of fresh greens. Each day as 3pm approaches, they stand at the front of their habitat in eager anticipation. Please continue their daily salads at a time each day that you can keep steady and constant for them. Anne & Mary's mother and aunt ( Jane and Posey ) will be ready for adoption soon. Osito , an earnest and hopeful baby boy, is one of a dozen rescued kittens ready for adoption today. Tomorrow, Saturday, another 30 rescued kittens will be ready for adoption too at 10am at Nevada SPCA ( www.nevadaspca.org )! Osito was a newborn without a mom at the time of rescue. His foster mom bottle-fed him every few hours, day and night. Osito has been socialized with cats and small dogs. He is now 4 months of age and neutered.  Please kitten-proof your home for his safety.
