I would love to be your sweet little prince.

Update: Astro was adopted on April 1st! This regal boy has been recovering magnificently with us. At the time of rescue Astro was emaciated from starvation and in very poor condition due to malnutrition. He had been abandoned on the streets, where he was completely incapable of surviving on his own. Thanks to his inspiring progress, he is now neutered and ready for adoption today. Astro is a super cute Papillon mix, about 2 years young. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. He enjoys other good-natured dogs and needs regular grooming care. Please adopt this sweetheart and make sure he never knows hunger again.

I want you to want me.

Update: Rocco was adopted on April 2nd! Rocco is a bubbly little trooper, friendly and outgoing. He is a handsome Pug, neutered male, about 6 years of age. We rescued Rocco from another shelter. He was there because his previous owners moved into a living situation that did not allow pets. He is well-behaved, compatible with cats and dogs, and reportedly housetrained. Rocco needs daily eyedrops due to chronic dry eye, so please only consider him if you can diligently provide this routine attention for him. Rocco debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Please treat me gently and I will give you my heart.

Elle has wise eyes for such a young girl. One of our staff members said it well: "She has a beautiful essence." Elle is an American Bulldog mix with a loving nature and she adores kind, mature children. She is spayed, just over a year of age, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Elle needs an experienced home. This stems from one isolated incident, with vague details, when she was being punished by an adult male. It is important that her corrections and training are gentle and based on positive guidance.

I am full of wonder and amazement.

Imagination's ethereal, hypnotic blue eyes are enchanting. Shy at first with new people, he warms up quickly and in time showers you with affection. Imagination is a Snowshoe mix, neutered male, about 3 years young. He needed us because he was reportedly being too dominant with another cat in his previous home. So this sweet and vocal boy may do best as the only cat in the home. Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms and ask for him by name. Imagination is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats for adoption today.

Please do not turn away from me just because I have special needs.

Update: Woobah was adopted on April 5th! Woobah is a very jolly puppy who adores playing with other friendly dogs. He is a Puggle (Pug & Beagle mix), neutered male, approximately 7 months of age. Woobah needed us when his previous owners moved away. But this little angel is a keeper! He is fun, very social, sweet, and warm-natured. Woobah is reportedly already housetrained and crate-trained, and fine with older, mature kids. He has special needs due to a birth defect with his malformed hip joints and sockets in his back legs, but he can lead a rich, full life. We had his back legs evaluated at an advanced veterinary care facility. The hip joints and sockets cannot be repaired, but he can walk and run fairly well, despite wobbly back legs which sometimes seem out of sync with his front legs. Woobah debuts for adoption today. Please open your heart to this exceptional youngster and let him bless you with his unconditional love.

We are world-class snugglers.

Update 2: Rocky was adopted on April 2nd! Update: Manny was adopted on March 30th! Manny & Rocky are exceptionally affectionate baby boys who love to cuddle. The brothers debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They are Heinz 57s, perhaps with Retriever & Bully, expected to grow to medium size. They are neutered and approximately 3 months of age. Manny & Rocky needed us because of their previous owner's financial hardship. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. The boys can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting the pair for lifelong love and companionship. (Their adoption fees are discounted if you adopt them together.)

Perhaps I got my way a little too often.

Image
Boo is a super cute, loving boy. He is a Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel & Poodle mix), neutered male, approximately 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Boo needed us when his previous owner became too elderly to care for him. He enjoys other sweet dogs and needs regular grooming care. Though mostly tender-hearted, we believe Boo needs an adult-only home. He can get an attitude if he does not get his way, being especially anxious about being held or confined against his will. An experienced home where Boo is not alpha -- but his new parent is -- will be the environment he needs to re-orient his thinking.

They say I glow with joy.

Lovable and cheery, Baby Girl is full of smiles to share with you. She is most likely a Toy & Spaniel mix, about 6 years of age. We rescued Baby Girl from another shelter, so we do not have much background information on her. She is very social and may do best in a home with another dog to keep her company. Please plan on regular brushing and grooming. Baby Girl debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

You will love my innocent enthusiasm.

Update: Chopper was adopted on March 29th! Jubilant and entertaining, Chopper is an energetic youngster who will steal your heart. He is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever, neutered male, just a year of age. Chopper enjoys kind children and other friendly dogs. He is reportedly kennel-trained and crate-trained (but we cannot confirm whether he is fully housetrained yet otherwise). He needed us reportedly due to "landlord disapproval". Chopper will do best with basic dog obedience training to help channel his energy into positive behaviors. Please only consider him if you are fully committed to having this provided for him promptly. Chopper debuts for adoption today.

If you support Nevada SPCA, then you played a part in saving my life.

Update: Bravo was adopted on March 30th! Terribly ill with the deadly parvo virus at the time of rescue, little Bravo had the odds against his survival. We rushed him into emergency medical care at the Dewey Veterinary Hospital for intensive care. Besides great care, his strong spirit and will to live helped pull him through, and he made a full, triumphant recovery. Bravo is a vibrant puppy with expressive eyes and a whimsical nature. He is most likely a Bully mix and will grow to medium size. He is neutered, approximately 3-4 months of age, debuting for adoption today. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. Support from compassionate, generous people like you is the reason Bravo's life was saved . Nevada SPCA does not receive funding from the government or from national animal groups. Please visit our Donate page on our primary web site if you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to help us save innocent sweethearts

If you seek a loyal, devoted, and handsome boy, then you need to come meet me.

Image
Update: Renegade was adopted on March 27th! Renegade is an enthusiastic, well-behaved boy with stunning blue eyes. He is a Siberian Husky, neutered male, approximately 3 years young. Renegade needed us following his previous owners' divorce. He is reportedly housetrained and compatible with cats and kind, mature children. Siberian Husky knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for Renegade's adoption. Renegade debuts for adoption today.

A gentle spirit like mine is priceless.

Image
Update: Stanly was adopted on 4/3! Stanly coos like a baby when you hold him close. He is a dashing, tri-color Abyssinian guinea pig, about 18 months young. Stanly needed us when his previous owner decided he was a nuisance. But he is a little treasure! You will be amazed at this youngster's genuine charms. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Stanly by name. Like all companion animals, he wants and needs a committed, loving forever home.

I may have special needs, but I offer just as much unconditional love as other dogs.

Image
Update: Frankie was adopted on March 29th! Frankie is a precious Maltese puppy we rescued from a puppy mill going out of business. Besides never having the loving care and attention he needed as a baby, he has another major challenge. He has neurological problems (whether from birth or from an early-life incident) that give him a wobbly walk and make him unsteady on his feet. Frankie loves to cuddle and he has a beautiful, innocent soul. He is now neutered and debuting for adoption today. We believe he is approximately 7 months of age. Frankie enjoys other sweet dogs. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him (perhaps quarterly) and budget extra accordingly. This sweetheart needs a hero. Please visit and ask for Frankie by name.

A foster mom helped us survive after we lost our mommy.

Image
Update: Janie & Jaylene were adopted together on March 26th! We nicknamed Janie and Jaylene "The Lovebug Puppies" due to their affectionate, jazzy personalities. The baby girls are Terrier & Toy mixes and we expect them to remain small in size. They are now spayed, about 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. Janie and Jaylene were found near a neighborhood street, their mother nowhere in sight. A compassionate foster mom helped socialize and provide tender loving care for them. The girls can be adopted separately, but we give preference to them going home together for lifetime love and companionship. (Their adoption fees are reduced if adopted together.)

My angelic nature is no illusion.

Image
Update: Magic was adopted on March 30th! Magic is a flashy, animated, fun-loving youngster debuting for adoption today. He is a good-looking Boxer, mostly white, neutered male, about 2 years of age. Magic has a wondrous temperament and he is full of love for all. He is reportedly good with cats and children, plus housetrained too. Boxer knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. The small scar above his ear is from a mass removal. He has been healing well. Magic was surrendered to us by his previous owners who said they could not afford him anymore.

They say I am charmingly hypnotic.

Image
Update: Amanda was adopted on March 27th! Amanda is a precious young girl ready for adoption in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. Her very loving personality matches her tremendous beauty. She adores attention and needs your affection and praise. Amanda is a Ragdoll mix, spayed, just about a year of age. She is playful and fine with other sweet cats. Her medium-hair coat will need regular brushing. Amanda needed us after she was abandoned at a veterinary hospital. Like all cats, she needs and deserves a strictly indoor-only home for her safety and protection.

Please show me that this world offers some kindness.

Update: Candy Kisses was adopted on May 24th! A Nevada SPCA volunteer witnessed this girl being struck by a car on a busy road. Her physical wounds have healed now. But what we discovered is that her emotional injuries from extremely severe abuse run much deeper. Medicine and bandages and casts cannot mend her broken heart and crushed spirit. But tender loving care is already making a bit of a difference, and a tiny spark of hope is emerging in her eyes. Exceptionally gentle, despite overwhelming terror with new people and new situations, we named her Candy Kisses . Candy Kisses is a Mastiff mix, about 3 years of age. She is now spayed and ready for adoption to continue her progress in a loving, calm home. Too shy to walk on a leash, we carry her from room to room, from her kennel to the play yard. Rather than stretch her legs, she would rather find someone with a soft voice and curl up beside them for reassurances. There are no instant fixes for Candy Kisses . But as she continu

I love kids, so why did I get kicked out because of a new baby?

Image
Update: Chowder was adopted on March 25th! Chowder , like the vast majority of companion animals in rescues and shelters, did absolutely nothing to deserve losing his home and family. In his case, we were scratching our heads because the only reason given for his surrender was that a newborn baby joined the family. We work hard for the day when people appreciate and respect companion animals as cherished members of their families, not ornaments or decorations to be handed away when inconvenient. Chowder is a lively, joyful, adorable little guy. He is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, neutered, approximately 3-4 years of age. Besides enjoying other dogs, Chowder is good with children and housetrained too. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him and budget extra accordingly. Chowder debuts for adoption today.

They played a dirty trick to get rid of us.

Image
Update 2: Jackson was adopted to rejoin his brother Max in a loving home on March 29th! Update: Max was adopted on March 27th! Max (pictured here) and his brother Jackson are young sweethearts we nicknamed "The Bogle Brothers". The boys are friendly, attractive, playful, and very good-natured. Max & Jackson are reportedly a designer breed, called Bogles, which are mixes of Boston Terrier & Beagle. Both have brown brindle & white coloring, they are neutered, and just one year of age. Max is more demure, while Jackson is more quizzical. Both enjoy other sweet dogs. They can be adopted separately, but they are a wonderful pair. Please consider adopting them both for lifetime love and companionship. Max & Jackson needed us after their owners left them with a dog-sitter and then never returned. Certainly, they deserve better than that.

Everlasting love may be mine after all.

Update: Juicy was adopted on March 24th! One of our staff, Lara, found this petite puppy after she had been thrown in some bushes near a bus stop. Her body was covered in mange, and understandably terrified, she was nipping and refusing to let anyone touch her. Lara removed her coat and used it to envelope and capture her without being bit. Many weeks of treatment succeeded in bringing her to full recovery, physically and emotionally. Today, Juicy debuts for adoption. Juicy is a Chihuahua puppy, spayed female, 8 months of age. Juicy is compatible with other friendly, sweet dogs and she craves your attention and reassurances. Please visit and ask for Juicy by name.

My spirits are now soaring!

Image
Update: Cersi was adopted on March 30th! Cersi had merely a drop of hope at the time of rescue. She was dangerously depressed after being abandoned, and in tremendous pain from an enormous open mass on her left hip which was infected. We did not want to prolong Cersi's suffering. But we pursue and exhaust all reasonable options for recovery, and after consulting with her veterinarians we determined that she had a solid chance to recover and live a quality life if the mass could be safely removed. Fast-forward two months, Cersi is recovering beautifully and she is radiating and glowing with good cheer, overjoyed to have another chance to share her unconditional love with someone special. Cersi is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd, spayed female, about 6 years of age. Today, this wonderful treasure triumphantly debuts for adoption. She enjoys other sweet dogs and going for short walks. Her front left leg is crooked, either the result of a birth defect or an old injury that was untr

I desperately want to trust you.

Update: Kane was adopted on March 26th! Brilliant and exceptionally handsome, young Kane is completely enchanting. He is a Belgian Shepherd (Malinois variety), neutered male, about one year of age. Kane is very well-behaved. Besides knowing basic training commands, he reportedly is fine with dogs and cats, plus housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. He will bloom beautifully in a gentle, experienced home with a steady lifestyle routine. Kane is head-shy and shows the classic signs of past abuse. While very jumpy with and suspicious of strangers, he is drawn to those with tender manners and soft voices. Kane debuts for adoption today. Please visit and ask for him by name.

I am far more lovable than a Teddy Bear.

Image
Update: Donnie was adopted on March 24th! Upon seeing Donnie you just want to give him a big hug. He is adorable and cuddly, full of innocence and wonder. Donnie is a Border Collie puppy, neutered male, approximately 6 months of age. We rescued him from another shelter, but know a bit about him thanks to good foster care. Besides being good with other dogs, he is reportedly fine with cats and kind children. Donnie is also reportedly crate-trained, but will need your patience and guidance to complete housetraining. Border Collie knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for his adoption.

My previous mom said she just did not want me anymore.

Image
Update: Louise was adopted on April 2nd! Louise is a sweet, meek young lady who yearns desperately to be loved. She was found out on the streets, alone and in danger of being struck by a car. When we traced her microchip ID and located her previous owner, our hearts broke for this little angel when the woman said did not even want her back. Louise deserves better. And we are committed to helping her find a more committed, loving home that will last forever. She is a Toy & Terrier mix, spayed, about 18 months of age, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Louise enjoys other dogs. Her wiry coat is easy to maintain with periodic brushing. Please adopt her and show her the wonderful compassion that humans are capable of sharing.

Like a Picasso painting, I am beautiful yet misunderstood.

With each passing day we are reminded how very important personality is, and how irrelevant color patterns are with cats. We find the tortoiseshell coloring to be magnificently stunning, but perhaps it is too exotic for most visitors because Torties seem to be routinely overlooked. Ms. Fluffy did not ask to be born a Tortie. All she wants is a loving, committed, indoor-only forever home where she will be cherished every day. Ms. Fluffy is spayed, medium-hair, and approximately 3 years of age. She needed us after her owner abandoned her outdoors in an industrial area. Super sweet, Ms. Fluffy is sure to win your heart if you come meet her at Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. She is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats for adoption today.

A more leisurely, relaxed lifestyle for me, please.

Image
Update: Chinito was adopted on February 11th! Full of passion and affection, Chinito is a darling little Casanova. He is a petite Chihuahua, neutered male, about 6 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Chinito needed us because his previous owner had "too many dogs". He enjoys other dogs and he is reportedly housetrained. Chinito has been diagnosed with a mild heart murmur, so a quieter, less vigorous routine is best for him.

Adopt me for a fulfilling lifetime of unconditional love.

Image
Update: Lux was adopted on April 2nd! We rescued this stunningly handsome tri-color Smooth-Coated Collie mix from another shelter. Comical and friendly, devoted and intelligent, there are so many wonderful things to say about his very essence. Lux is neutered and still technically a puppy at 11 months of age, debuting for adoption today. Lux is good with other sweet dogs. We believe he will do best with an active lifestyle. Please visit and ask for him by name.

I need someone new to love me.

A rabbit's love, like mine, lasts a lifetime.

Image
Siobah n charms and enchants with both her exotic looks and her gentle, engaging temperament. She is a Lionhead mix with regal beauty, spayed female, about 2 years of age. Siobahn needed us after she was found running loose and trying to survive on her own in a local neighborhood. Lionheads and Lionhead mix bunnies need regular brushing and grooming care, particularly in the mane around their faces. Siobahn is one of almost 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for her by name.

Please do not forget that gerbils like me need committed, forever homes too.

Image
Stefan is adorable from nose to tail, outgoing and very curious, always anxious to explore. He is a cute gerbil, adult male, about 2 years young. Like most gerbils in good homes, Stefan may live to 5-6 years of age, so please only consider him if you are fully committed to making him a member of your family for his entire lifetime. Gerbils are social animals and they require quality time with you daily . Please consult with your staff if you would like to consider adopting him with a brother for lifetime companionship. Stefan is one of about 40 rescued hamsters and gerbils at Nevada SPCA who await loving homes.

Why did they throw us away?

Update: Footloose & Fancy Free were adopted together on April 5th! Footloose & Fancy Free (pictured here) are young sweetheart brothers with lovely temperaments and personalities. They are Labrador Retriever mixes, neutered, about one year of age. Footloose & Fancy Free were found by one of our staff in an industrial area. They ran to her to play shortly after being abandoned and she was able to quickly corral them and bring them to Nevada SPCA headquarters for safety. The boys can be adopted separately. But they are wonderful together. Please consider adopting them as a pair for lifelong love and companionship. (We have reduced the adoption fees substantially if you adopt them as a pair.) [ Footloose can be seen on our primary web site: www.nevadaspca.org .] Footloose & Fancy Free debut for adoption today.

Adopt me and you will be graced with my bright, beautiful smiles every day.

Update: Morgan was adopted on March 26th! Morgan is a smart, gorgeous, well-behaved girl who enjoys playing with tennis balls. She is a Siberian Husky mix (a bit smaller than most Huskies), spayed, about 6 years of age. Morgan came from another shelter which needed our help, but we know quite a bit about her due to her being in a foster home. She is good with dogs and kind children, plus housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained too. Morgan may need regular brushing and grooming, so please plan accordingly. She debuts for adoption today. Please visit and ask for Morgan by name.

They abused my innocence.

This little angel was wrapped repeatedly in wide tape and smeared with blood from an ear wound when she was spotted outside at an apartment complex. A caring woman spent two hours earning her trust before this terrified girl let her capture and rescue her. Our best guess was that a gang had gotten hold of her, but what their horrific intentions were we can only imagine. Fortunately, the woman brought her to us for medical and emotional rehabilitation. We named her Hope and gave her the special care she needed to heal and know she was safe. Desperate to trust us and make a loving connection, she soon thereafter dropped her protective emotional walls and accepted our help. You can still in her eyes though the fear and uncertainty she is feeling. Hope is a lovely Chihuahua, about 2 years of age. She is now spayed and debuting for adoption. She is very tender-hearted and sensitive, so a gentle, experienced home is needed for her. We had her cherry eye condition repaired and she has b

We know if we have each other that life's joys will not be denied us.

Update: Shana & Louis were adopted on March 19th! They are Bichon Frises, spayed and neutered, approximately 8 years of age. Shana & Louis are good with other friendly dogs, and reportedly fine with kind, mature children, and housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained. Be sure to budget extra for regular professional grooming care. Bichon Frise knowledge and/or experience is preferred for their adoption. Shana & Louis needed us when their previous owners moved away without them.

My future is looking up!

Image
Update: Patches was adopted on April 3rd! Seemingly aware she is now safe, Patches' ice blue eyes gleam and glisten. She is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, spayed, approximately 2 years of age. Patches debuts for adoption today. Please visit and ask for her by name.

I need to be a cherished family member, not a gift.

Image
Super cute and endearing, little Marceau is good at stealing hearts and earning smiles. He is very curious and enjoys exploring rooms, safely (by using baby gates to keep him away from electrical cords). Marceau is an English Spot bunny, neutered, and about 10 months of age. He needed us after a young student gave him to his teacher as a "gift". But Marceau wants a committed, lifelong home where he will become a member of the family. He is one of almost 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I am starving for your attention and adoration.

Image

He is neutered and approximately 18 months of age. Pluto is full of joy for life and he is compatible with other dogs and kind children. To help him complete housetraining, please install a doggie door and give him positive guidance and a stable lifestyle routine. What happened? I did not do anything wrong.

Image
Update: Syren was adopted on March 19th! Like countless other companion animals, baby Syren lost her previous home because one of the family members was allergic to her. Syren is an adorable, lyrical puppy, most likely a Miniature Schnauzer and Toy Poodle mix. We expect her to remain small in size. She is spayed, 4 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Syren enjoys other dogs and may need regular professional grooming care.

My love is for keeps.

Image
Update: Jack was adopted on March 20th! Adorable, with a calm nature, Jack charms and enchants in subtle, meaningful ways. He is a quite plump Shih-Tzu mix, neutered male, about 3 years young. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him and consult with your veterinarian about a safe, proper weight reduction plan for his health. Jack needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship. Jack debuts for adoption today.

We are radiant young girls with hearts of gold.

Image
Update: Ginger & Penny were adopted on December 6th! Ginger (pictured here) and her sister Penny were found left behind at a foreclosed home, fortunately found before succumbing to starvation. These sweetheart girls glow with love and good cheer! They have exceptional temperaments. Ginger & Penny are reportedly Boxer & Shar-Pei mixes, 2 years of age. They are spayed and debuting for adoption today. Besides being sisters, they are also soul-mates. They need to be adopted together and kept together forever. (We have discounted their adoption fees substantially to encourage you to consider them as a lifelong pair.) Though great with one another, they seem to show aggression to smaller dogs. If you have a larger dog we can have them meet him or her in our courtyard. Please visit and ask for Ginger & Penny by name.

We both have a world of sunshine to share with you.

Image

Angelina and Abraham are already housetrained and both enjoy other friendly, playful dogs. They needed us when their previous owners lost the family home. Angelina and Abraham are a fantastic pair and adore each other, but they can be adopted separately.

I am a tender-hearted young boy who wants a gentle, adult-only home.

Image
Update: Max was adopted on March 17th! Adorable and loving, Max can provide you with a lifetime of unconditional love. He is a Yorkshire Terrier, neutered male, about 2 years young. Max enjoys other dogs. He is crate-trained and reportedly "80%" housetrained, so your patience and guidance and a steady lifestyle routine are needed to help him complete housetraining. He needed us because he was being snappy with young children in his previous home when they attempted to disturb him. He has no reports of bites, but his snaps were warning indicators of his fear and anxiety of kids. To err on the safe side for dog bite prevention, it is a strict condition of Max's adoption that he is given absolutely no access to toddlers or young children. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for Max , budgeting extra accordingly. Max debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Why did they try to kill me?

Image
Update: Agador was adopted on March 20th! A good Samaritan witnessed this little angel being thrown out of a car on the highway and was able to rescue him before he could be smashed in traffic. Horribly, this is not uncommon -- animals are frequently, deliberately released in traffic, to have their innocent lives snuffed out violently. We named this young boy Agador and we are working to find him a loving home where he will never again experience cruelty or human evil. Agador is a Chihuahua mix, about one year of age. We had him neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped, so he is now ready for adoption today. Agador is a humble, bashful, very kind-hearted boy and he enjoys the company of other dogs. Please visit and ask for this sweetheart by name.

I will greet you every day at the door with a smile and a wagging tail.

Image
Exceptionally attractive, " Scruffy " is anything but disheveled. He has a stunning, beautifully groomed appearance. Personality-wise, he is a winner too. Sweet. Energetic. Loving. Devoted. Scruffy is a Miniature Schnauzer, neutered male, approximately 7 years of age. He is reportedly compatible with older, mature children and housetrained. Please plan on regular professional grooming care to keep him looking like a million bucks (and budget extra accordingly). Scruffy needed us because he was apparently not getting along with another dog in the home. We are unaware of the specific dynamics though, so he may be fine with some dogs. Scruffy debuts for adoption today. Schnauzer knowledge and/or experience is preferred.

I am accustomed to a gentle lifestyle.

Image
Update: Rocky was adopted on March 20th! Rocky is a tender-hearted boy, as cute as can be. He is a Shih-Tzu, neutered male, about 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Rocky needed us when his previous owners had to move into a senior living center. He is good with other dogs and needs periodic professional grooming care. Rocky is reportedly partially housetrained, but has accidents. Your patience, guidance, and a steady daily routine will help him complete housetraining. Please note that Rocky is apparently very anxious around young children. To err on the safe side, he requires a home with no access to toddlers or young children.

Please cuddle with me.

Image
Gorgeous and affectionate, Nevada is a heavenly little snugglebug. She is a Yorkshire Terrier, spayed female, just shy of 18 months of age. Nevada needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship. She is ready to join a family today. She enjoys other friendly dogs and she is reportedly compatible with kind, mature children, plus housetrained too (with a doggie door). Nevada needs regular professional grooming care. Please only consider her if you can budget extra accordingly to keep her looking and feeling good .

I yearn to trust again and regain peace-of-mind.

Image
Update: Odis was adopted on March 19th! His eyes, smile, and body language all reveal his desperate longing to get close to you and make a connection. But Odis hesitates with new people, wondering if they will strike him or scream at him. Monsters among us hurt puppies like Odis and abuse the innocence of other animals. There are no instant fixes for the damage they cause to precious souls, but with time and a stable home routine and a gentle touch improvement is almost certain. Odis is an exceptionally good-looking Australian Cattle Dog with red merle coloring. He is neutered, about 8 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Odis from another shelter. The limited background information we have is that he is reportedly housetrained and too anxious around children (perhaps due to past taunting). He may be compatible with other dogs, but he seems to assume the "alpha" role despite his young age. An intelligent boy, Odis will do best with

I do the cutest dances to get your attention.

Image
Update: Juicy was adopted on March 20th! Juicy knows she belongs in the spotlight. Flirty, fun, chatty, and enthusiastic, she simply demands that you share tons of attention with her daily. Please visit and ask for this little superstar by name.

When you gain my trust I bloom like a flower.

Image

Update: Breakfast was adopted on March 27th! Breakfast loves attention, so much so that he sprints to you when you call his name. He is an exceptionally handsome short-hair tuxedo with light green eyes, neutered male, about 3 years young. Breakfast needed us when his previous owner moved overseas. (He arrived with this name.) Our staff and volunteers believe he will fit beautifully into most family situations, indoors-only, of course. Breakfast is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for him by name.
