Jason and Jenna

Jason

Jenna
Jason and Jenna were rescued on the Fourth of July, only 6 weeks of age or so at the time, and both were frightened and without the comfort of their mother.

We placed them in a loving foster home for surrogate mothering and both have excelled since.

Jason likes to prance forward to meet people.  Jenna is a bit bashful, but quite affectionate with those she trusts.

The puppies are Chihuahua mixes, now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety.

Laverne & Shirley

Laverne & Shirley are baby sisters who love playing in the water from faucets, giving people kitten kisses, and falling asleep in each others' arms.

They are 4 months of age, spayed, well socialized in caring foster homes, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Laverne & Shirley have a magical bond and need to remain together for life.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this remarkable portrait to help the girls find a responsible, indoor-only, forever home.

Peyton

Peyton had no interest in getting his picture taken this morning.  All he wanted to do was cuddle and get chest and throat rubs.

Peyton had been the victim of horrific violence (that included his ears being sliced off), but during his months of healing here he has improved wonderfully.

Peyton no longer dreads people, but instead longs to bond with them.

He is a large, 72-pound Mastiff mix, 1 year young, a neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Peyton is housetrained & crate-trained and likes to play fetch.

He may be compatible with some dogs, but he needs an experienced, adult-only home for his continuing progress.

There is so much goodness in me.

Constantine is a big (77 pounds), endearing boy who likes to play fetch.

He is a Retriever mix, perhaps with American Bulldog, about 5 years of age, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Constantine is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained and compatible with some dogs.  He became homeless because he is not good with cats.

Constantine has been waiting for a hero for months, mostly because he is larger than people expect and initially bashful.

He is full of goodness and we hope these new pictures help him attract new consideration.

"The Blue Blood Puppies" debut for adoption!

Arthur, baby boy

Caroline, baby girl

Elizabeth, baby girl

Victoria, baby girl
Five motherless babies were cruelly discarded in a neighborhood.

But they are treasures, royal treasures!, and so we nicknamed them "The Blue Blood Puppies" and gave them regal names.

Ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org) are sisters Caroline, Elizabeth, and Victoria, and their brother Arthur.  (The fifth sibling, Antoinette, needs more recovery time from her spay surgery and will be ready for adoption in the days to come.)

The babies  are blue-eyed Bully mixes, 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and expected to grow to medium size.

Please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship.

Kehau's babies are ready for adoption!

Ahulani, baby girl

Alamimo, baby boy

Apona, baby boy

Iolani, baby boy
These four angels with lovely Hawaiian names -- Ahulani, Alamimo, Apona, and Iolani -- are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

We rescued their mother, Kehau, in late spring.  She was pregnant and dehydrated, presumably from being abandoned outdoors.

We placed Kehau in loving foster care and she gave birth to three boys and a girl.  (Kehau will be ready soon for adoption too.)

Her babies have been socialized very well in the foster home.

Please help find them wonderful responsible, indoor-only forever homes.  They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship.

The Rock Vault Puppies!

Andrew, baby boy
Carmen, baby girl
Doug, baby boy
Paul, baby boy
Robin, baby girl
Stephany, baby girl
Andrew, Carmen, Doug, Paul, Robin, and Stephany -- the six "Rock Vault Puppies" (named in tribute to the stars of the hit Vegas show) -- are ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

The puppies are very playful and loving, about 3 months of age, and now spayed/neutered.  All are amazing little treasures!

The Rock Vault Puppies were abandoned at a cat rescue organization that asked for our help.

Their mother is reportedly a Corgi mix and their father is unknown.  We expect the babies to grow to medium size.

Please visit and ask for the Rock Vault Puppies by name.

Valerie

Valerie was at another shelter that asked for our help.  Her right front paw was deformed (birth defect).

We rescued her and a veterinary specialist recommended amputation.

Valerie has healed and adjusted well, and we love her positive, can-do attitude.  She is a Toy & Terrier mix, 2 years young, spayed girl, triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Valerie adores people and dogs and she is eager to begin her new life.

I really want you to consider me.

Kino loves to show off his immense charm and colorful personality!

He is an earnest, optimistic boy eager to join a loving forever home.

Kino is a Chihuahua with a cute, "little wolf"-like appearance, about 8 years of age and neutered, great with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for capturing his bright spirit in these new portraits.

Julian

Julian wants to join a stable, quiet home where he will be treasured.

His past was a violent one and he will cry and shake if anyone around him exhibits any anger, fearing that he will be the target of the rage.

But Julian is blooming, relishing the kindness of staff and volunteers, and he is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

He is a cute Toy & Terrier mix, 5 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and housetrained & crate-trained.

Great thanks to Pet'ographique for these sensational portraits to help Julian find a lifelong hero.

Can I show you the new me?

Smokey has certainly earned a second look, thanks to his remarkable behavior improvements as he has developed with the loving guidance of dedicated volunteers.

This morning he was beaming with the biggest smiles as he played "matador" with a volunteer -- running to her and then past her, and then circling around and doing it again and again.

Smokey is 1 year of age, a neutered boy, an Australian Cattle Dog mix, housetrained, and great with other dogs.

He becomes very attached to those he loves.

Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Smokey by name.

Thank you for not giving up on me.

Pluto is a tiny, 7-pound boy with enormous loving potential and he is recovering steadily from a violent, cruel past.

We rescued him in June from another shelter and he had open wounds across his body, most consistent with road rash from being struck by a vehicle.

Physically, he has healed beautifully this summer and he triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Emotionally, Pluto is still a work in progress, but he is learning to trust and realizing that people can be kind.

Pluto is 7 years of age and neutered.  We believe he will adjust best in a home with a big brother or sister dog.

Please help find a hero for Pluto.

Galahad

Five weeks ago Galahad was at another shelter that asked for our help so he could recover from starvation.

He was emaciated, a Great Pyrenees weighing only 77 pounds.

Galahad is now 86 pounds, his energy is recovering, and he is debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He is shy, so a very gentle home is ideal.

Galahad gets along well with other dogs and he is neutered and about 6 years of age.

We want to find him a home where he can continue regaining weight and where he will never know desperate hunger again.

"The Little Women Puppies"

Amy

Elizabeth

Josephine

Margaret
Amy, Elizabeth, Josephine, and Margaret are precious, huggable baby sisters debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

The girls are named after the sisters in the classic novel and movie "Little Women".

Their previous owners said their mother is an English Mastiff and their father is a Neapolitan Mastiff.  We rescued the girls and, in turn, they fixed the parents so there would be no further breeding.

The puppies are now 3 months of age and spayed.  They will almost certainly grow to very large size, so please plan and budget accordingly.

The girls can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship.

The concerned words of a child to a teacher saved me and my babies.

A teacher heroically rescued Sylvia from an abusive home after hearing from one of her students that a family member was kicking their pregnant dog.

We placed Sylvia in a nurturing foster home where she gave birth to 3 babies, and all survived.  (Sylvia's puppies will remain in foster care until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered.)

Sylvia is a remarkably sweet Toy Fox Terrier & Chihuahua mix, 2 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Sylvia is learning that humans can be kind and she is healing well emotionally.

She must see only the best of human nature from now on.  Please help us find Sylvia a wonderful, stable, forever home.

Like you, I am an emotional being too.

Ryder is pulling out of a steep depression and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He became homeless because of his previous owners' home foreclosure.  Ryder could not comprehend this and he was hanging his head low, facing the corner of his kennel in despair.

Volunteers and staff are reassuring him and telling him that wonderful days of love and kindness are ahead.

Ryder is a Shepherd & Retriever mix, about 7 years of age, neutered, housetrained, and good with other dogs.

Please help find him a home where he will again experience joy and peace-of-mind.

I can change your life too.

Justin overflows with hope and he wants everyone to know what a gentleman he will be, always eager to please those he loves.

He is a medium-size Bully mix with steel grey & white coloring, 1 year young, fun and playful, neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Justin was found roaming the Vegas streets with no sign of responsible ownership.

Wonderful thanks to Pet'ographique for these amazing portraits to help Justin find a forever home.

Valerie & Vanessa

Valerie & Vanessa are baby ducks with a strong, lifelong bond.

The sisters are just a few months of age, but nearing their full adult size.  At the beginning of summer the girls were found as motherless newborns and they were in distress in a family's swimming pool.  We placed Valerie & Vanessa in a nurturing foster home for loving care.

The girls enjoy people and they are completely dependent on humans for food and survival, so we need to find them a lifelong home environment rather than releasing them into nature.

Both girls are exceptional with other birds and they love to swim.

Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Valerie & Vanessa by name.

Boo Boo

Boo Boo is beaming with anticipation for a future filled with love and peace-of-mind.

She is a young Shih-Tzu & Toy Poodle mix, 2 years of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Boo Boo was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership.  The person who captured her had Boo Boo at her home for a period of time and reported the following:

a) She is housetrained.
b) She loves going for walks.
c) She likes to sleep in hiding places or cozy baskets.
d) She is afraid of shoes being thrown at her.

Please visit and ask for Boo Boo by name.

Will you accept my gift?

Cupcake offers you the world's most beautiful gift -- unconditional love.

She is a sensitive Longhair Dachshund mix, about 4 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Cupcake gets along well with cats and dogs, plus she is crate-trained too.  She needed us because she is not compatible with young kids.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these portraits of Cupcake to help her find a loving, stable, forever home.
