Wonder Woman!


Wonder Woman is actually still a kitten of course, but she would love to become your very own superstar and grow to become a majestic adult.

She is a gorgeous, affectionate brown tabby, 3 months of age, spayed baby girl with a hearty purr, and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Wonder Woman's hero was her foster dad, who bottle fed her at all hours of the day and night after her rescue as a motherless newborn.

Logan yearns for new consideration, please.


Logan, one of the happiest and most carefree dogs in the shelter, is also, inexplicably, one of our longest residents. 

He enjoys dogs, adores people, and he is reportedly good with cats and children too, plus housetrained.

Tiny babies with big personalities -- puppies ready for adoption.

These three precious puppies were lovingly raised in a foster home after their rescue. 

All have sugary-sweet personalities and gentle, loving natures. They are Chihuahua mixes, now 7 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Boo Berry and Count Chocula are boys and Franki Berry is a girl.

Tootie, an angel.


Seeing Tootie is like looking in the eyes of an angel.  She is very kind and calm, and full of love, and hopeful that she will finally be loved. 

Like all mixed breeds, Tootie has unique beauty.  She is medium-size and perhaps a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Shetland Sheepdog.  She is spayed, about 8 years of age, good with dogs, shaved down (to get rid of the knots and tangles) and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. 

Tootie is one of 14 dogs we rescued from other shelters just before Christmas.

Sunny, a snow-white Persian cat who adores people.


An exceptionally social boy, Sunny will surely greet you at the door when you return home every day, looking up at you with his golden eyes anticipating kind petting and chatting.

Rebel - with a cause.


Rebel's eyes say it all, don't they? The victim of abuse and neglect, his trust has been violated and he is not at all sure about the human race. But yet, he yearns to be loved and to share his devotion if he can find just the right, gentle person. 

Rebel is a Shih-Tzu mix, neutered boy, 2 years young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is great with other dogs and needs regular grooming (note: we shaved away his knots and tangles, so his coat will grow long again).

Foxy is an angelic purr baby -- her purring is so hearty for such a tiny kitten -- with unbearable adorableness! 

She has been lovingly raised in a foster home after being rescued as a motherless newborn. 

Now 3 months of age and spayed, Foxy debuts for adoption today on Christmas Eve at Nevada SPCA.

Cheeto, a baby boy who made a beautiful recovery.


Cheeto's survival and full recovery from the deadly parvo virus is one of the Christmas miracles we are appreciating this season. 

He is a dignified baby boy, rust red Chihuahua, 7 months of age, neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He was very sick at the time of rescue, but we had extensive medical care provided for him and he pulled through with flying colors. 

The ordeal now over, Cheeto is beginning to become more light-hearted and puppy-like again, enjoying life.

Paws, a Doberman Pinscher puppy for adoption.


Paws, a Doberman Pinscher puppy, is like a young prince -- regal, but needing more socialization and experience to develop into a well-balanced adult.  He is very shy with new people and in new situations, so an experienced home is needed.

Paws is 9 months of age, neutered, with handsome chocolate & brown coloring, and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He lost his previous home because he was reportedly accidentally knocking a very young child down during playtime.

Aries is blessed with a million-dollar smile.



Aries has been a good momma, and now that her maternal duties are completed, she is ready to find a loving, forever home. 

At the time of rescue her previous owner was hospitalized and she had a litter of young puppies.  (Her five pups will be available for adoption in the weeks to come.) 

Aries is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Retriever, blessed with a million-dollar smile.  Aries is now spayed, about 5 years of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Mademoiselle Ahiti needs a hero.


Mademoiselle Ahiti only understands French, so we have had a volunteer visit her daily and speak French to her and console her broken heart.  Mademoiselle Ahiti's previous owners returned to France.

She is a soulful Rottweiler with a beautiful spirit, spayed girl, about 6 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

She delights in resting and relaxing, and requires a daily joint supplement and pain regiment for hip dysplasia.  Please help us find a hero to adopt her and welcome her into a world of love and comfort.

Brownie Sundae more than lives up to her fun name -- she is an irresistible girl with a delightful, delicious personality!

Fifi, a gorgeous Shetland Sheepdog full of loving devotion.



Fifi delights in fetching soft toys, carrying them around in her mouth as she prances around the house enticing you to play with her.

We were elated when this angel had the light back in his eyes, when he could hold up his head on his own, and when his tail began to wag. 

The victim of extreme starvation, at the time of rescue his life was in imminent peril.  After a week of emergency hospitalization care and fluids, and months of subsequent recovery at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org), the boy we named Lionheart nearly tripled his weight and bloomed into a social, cheerful boy full of joy and curiosity. 

Lionheart is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, neutered, 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today. 

CAUTION: His "before" pictures are very disturbing. 

But we want to share Lionheart's success with you and ask for your help in finding him a loving, forever home.

These three playful, adorable, cuddly puppies -- nicknamed "The Beloved Baby Puppies" -- are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Bear is a boy and his sisters are Bernadette and Betty Lou. They needed us when their previous owner said his Poodle had an "oops" pregnancy with a neighbor's Terrier. We were very happy to rescue the three in exchange for him getting his Poodle neutered.
