Update: The Great Gatsby was adopted on June 21st! The Great Gatsby is still a baby boy, but well on his way to developing into a charming, debonair adult. He is a Lionhead and Harlequin mix rabbit, neutered, about 8-10 months of age. The Great Gatsby was surrendered to us by his previous owner, who had purchased him at a pet store (presumably to be an "Easter bunny"). Like countless others sold for a quick buck as a holiday gimmick, he found himself in desperate need once the holiday passed. The Great Gatsby is friendly, cute as can be, and he has a gentle nature. He is one of 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for him by name.

Please help make up for all the love I missed.

Update: Layla was adopted on May 31st! At the time of rescue Layla was very shy, scared she was about to be hit again. But tender touching and soothing voices from staff and volunteers have helped her realize she is now safe and her future is full of hope and promise. Layla is a precious little Yorkshire Terrier, spayed, and approximately 6 years of age. Emerging from her shell, she has come to adore human attention and enjoy playtimes. Layla needs an experienced, gentle home where her progress can continue. She debuts for adoption today. Please budget extra for regular grooming care.

I have a lifetime of wonderful cheer to share with you.

We rescued her from another shelter, so we do not have much background information. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for this dazzling girl by name.

Update: Lottie was adopted on June 29th! What a golden girl, sweet and lovable, with a wonderful disposition. Lottie is warm-hearted and endearing, chock full of unconditional love to share with you. She is a German Shepherd mix, spayed female, about 7 years of age. We rescued Lottie from another shelter. She apparently had been surrendered there when her previous owner moved into a small apartment. Lottie reportedly was solely living outdoors, which is dangerous in our desert climate. He is a "kit" (a baby bunny), a Lionhead mix with beautiful hair and coloring. He is neutered and approximately 6 months of age. Simba loves to snuggle. Update: Donna & Dave Duckie were adopted on August 28th! Donna & Dave Duckie are baby siblings, girl & boy, who would love to stay together forever. At the time of rescue they were newborns. Foster care in a compassionate home saved them and helped socialize them with people and other animals. Donna & Dave Duckie are now 4 months young and debuting for adoption. They are very social, enjoying human touch, even eating out of your hand. In their foster home they liked to waddle indoors at least once a day for attention. Donna & Dave Duckie are used to having a nice, safe pond to swim in. Please only consider them if you can provide a similar clean, protected pond, because this provides them with so much pleasure.

Can I count on you to stick with me forever?

Siblings Lyrin & Shyloon (pictured above), and their four siblings ( Gavrick , Pierre, Toby & Vitality ) are nicknamed " The Radiant Puppies " due to their sunny personalities and syrupy-sweet natures. Shyloon is a girl and the others are boys. We rescued the 6 puppies when they were quite fragile, at just one week of age, when their mother had a serious infection and could not care for them. The Radiant Puppies were immediately placed in a foster home for special care and socialization, all thriving beautifully. The Radiant Puppies are reportedly Lhasa-Poos (Lhasa Apso & Poodle mixes). They are spayed/neutered and approximately 3 months of age. They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong love and companionship. Drama is a Chihuahua mix puppy with lovely brindle coloring and precious, front-folding ears. She is spayed, 5 months of age, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Drama from her previous owner who could not afford to provide her with the emergency care needed to save her life after she contracted the parvo virus. We had intensive medical care provided for Drama and she recovered. But during her treatment her veterinarian discovered that she has a congenital defect -- a mid-grade pulmonary valve murmur -- that could affect her lifespan. Drama will do best with a quieter lifestyle. It is also important to keep her at a proper weight, as extra pounds just burden her system that much more. Drama loves life, loves people, and loves other dogs. She may live for a decade or mo

Update: Anna was adopted on June 3rd! With radiant blue eyes and a very loving nature, we find Anna irresistible! She is a gorgeous Himalayan & Ragdoll mix, spayed female, 2 years young. Anna will do best in a home as a lap cat. She enjoys snuggling in your lap and curling up in your arms for a purr-fest. Anna's four kittens also survived their abandonment. They were stuffed in an worn-out box with her and thrown away in an industrial area. Fortunately, one of our staff happened to find them before they died of starvation or dehydration. Anna's kittens are in foster care. They will be available for adoption too once they have completed their series of booster vaccines and become old enough that we can spay/neuter them. Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condos and ask for Anna by name. She is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered felines for adoption today.

We discovered these two sweethearts in a filthy storage container with molded food. Marti & Rizzo certainly deserve better, and with love and socialization they will blossom beautifully and gain trust. Both girls are 9 months young. Marti is an Abyssinian and Rizzo is a smooth-coated American, both with rich, chocolate coloring. Guinea pigs are social animals and need indoor-only lifestyles in our desert climate. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for these baby girls by name.

We are used to a quiet lifestyle and getting lots of attention.

But please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong love and companionship.

You can get lost in my ocean blue eyes.

Update: Crystal was adopted on June 5th! Crystal has a lovely soul to match her beautiful face and temperament. She would love to be adopted into a gentle, attentive home and spoiled rotten. Crystal needed us when her previous owner became too ill to care for her. She is a snow white shorthair, spayed female, 7 years of age. Crystal's front feet were previously declawed, so it is especially critical that she is an indoor-only cat. (We only adopt cats to indoor-only homes.) She may be best as the only pet in the home because that is what she is used to, but she is fine with other cats who respect her space. Crystal is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats for adoption today in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. Please visit and ask for her by name.

Update: Shorty was adopted on June 28th! We hear almost every day from wonderful people who have adopted senior animals, most expressing deep joy for their decisions to share their hearts and homes with those who others too often overlook based on age alone. So please consider the emotional and loving rewards of adopting seniors and special needs animals. Our no-kill work is based on the premise that all healthy, friendly animals (or those we can make healthy and friendly by exhausting all reasonable options) can and will find forever homes. We rescued Shorty , a senior Maltese, from another shelter. He is a neutered male, sports expressive eyes, and he is approximately 12 years of age. Devoted and affectionate, Shorty enjoys "shadowing" those he bonds with and being with them as much as possible. Danny Boy is a darling Maltese, neutered male, just two years of age. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. Please plan for regular grooming care and budget extra accordingly.

They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for these sweethearts by name. Barley is most likely an English Spot mix, perhaps with some Lop (due to his body shape). He is neutered and less than a year of age. Like all domesticated rabbits in our desert climate, he needs and requires an indoor-only home for his safety and protection. Update: Dwayne was adopted on May 10th! Dwayne is a big, loving goofball, full of personality and innocence. His happy-go-lucky disposition and playfulness help make him a super young boy who will steal your heart in no time. Dwayne is a Labrador Retriever, neutered male, about 2 years of age. He is reportedly housetrained with a doggie door, enjoys playing ball, and is good with kind children. He needed us because a family member in his previous home was allergic to him. Please plan on plenty of exercise for Dwayne , perhaps with basic dog obedience training to help channel his energies into good behaviors.

Adopt me for a lifetime of laughs and delights.

Fenmore is a gem! Very comical and outgoing, he naturally entertains and charms you with his daily behaviors. One of his favorite tricks is catching his daily greens mid-air before they can land in his salad bowl. Fenmore is a cute English Spot mix, neutered male, about 2 years of age. We rescued him from another shelter. Fenmore is one of 70 rescued, spayed/neutered bunnies for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
