Though some are monsters, I still believe in people.

Update: Evelyn was adopted on September 4th!

Extreme cruelty failed to kill Evelyn, much less break her spirit or destroy her love for people.

This darling, petite survivor is full of love and ready today to begin sharing her life with someone special.

When rescued from an abandoned foreclosed home, she was in shock from an exposed right rear leg bone. Someone had tightly wrapped a rubber band around her leg, and by the time of rescue most of her leg was gone. We rushed her into emergency care at a local clinic to amputate the exposed bone so she could begin the process of healing.

Evelyn has been adjusting beautifully to life on three legs. No longer in pain, she is free to curl up with you for affection and adoration.

She is a gorgeous shorthair, spayed, about 2 years of age. Her blue eyes are mesmerizing.

Evelyn awaits a knight in shining armor in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms, someone who will protect her from ever experiencing human cruelty and sadism again. Please visit and ask for her by name.
