The Blue-Eyed Babies -- we survived despite being buried alive.
Update 2: Johnnie is available for adoption. He was returned to us because the other dog in the family's home attacked him.Update: All 6 of these angels were adopted on or before September 11th!
On June 22nd, seven two-day-old puppies arrived in a container, filthy and in breathing distress, by a man who said he had found them.
But the large amounts of dirt in their nostrils, mouths, and ears indicated they had just been dug out of the ground.
We rushed them into intensive care, and we were able to stabilize 6 of them, but one passed.
Since then they have been in a very loving foster home, being socialized, enjoying playing with toys and each other, eating the best food, and experiencing human kindness at its best.
Today, 5 of them have been spayed/neutered and debut for adoption. Brothers Sid and Johnnie are pictured above, along with their brother Noddy and sister Kara (pictured on our main web site at www.nevadaspca.org). Another brother Navajo is being adopted by a person in relation to their foster care, and Frankie is being neutered today and will debut for adoption tomorrow (Friday, September 10th).
The Blue-Eyed Babies are terrific cuddlers and kissers. We expect them to grow to medium size, perhaps Bully & Retriever mixes, 10 weeks of age.
Let's be sure these angels never experience cruelty again. Please only adopt them if you are willing and able to make a lifetime commitment to keeping them in your family (which could mean 15 years or so).
They can be adopted individually, but since we would love for them to have lifelong love and companionship with each other, we are reducing the adoption fees for those who adopt a pair.
