I yearn to trust again and regain peace-of-mind.

Update: Odis was adopted on March 19th!

His eyes, smile, and body language all reveal his desperate longing to get close to you and make a connection.

But Odis hesitates with new people, wondering if they will strike him or scream at him.

Monsters among us hurt puppies like Odis and abuse the innocence of other animals. There are no instant fixes for the damage they cause to precious souls, but with time and a stable home routine and a gentle touch improvement is almost certain.

Odis is an exceptionally good-looking Australian Cattle Dog with red merle coloring. He is neutered, about 8 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

We rescued Odis from another shelter. The limited background information we have is that he is reportedly housetrained and too anxious around children (perhaps due to past taunting).

He may be compatible with other dogs, but he seems to assume the "alpha" role despite his young age.

An intelligent boy, Odis will do best with an owner who has knowledge of and/or experience with herding breeds.
