I love kids, so why did I get kicked out because of a new baby?

Update: Chowder was adopted on March 25th!

Chowder
, like the vast majority of companion animals in rescues and shelters, did absolutely nothing to deserve losing his home and family.

In his case, we were scratching our heads because the only reason given for his surrender was that a newborn baby joined the family.

We work hard for the day when people appreciate and respect companion animals as cherished members of their families, not ornaments or decorations to be handed away when inconvenient.

Chowder is a lively, joyful, adorable little guy.

He is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, neutered, approximately 3-4 years of age.

Besides enjoying other dogs, Chowder is good with children and housetrained too. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for him and budget extra accordingly.

Chowder debuts for adoption today.
