Update: Max was adopted on February 3rd!Max is very handsome. And he sure seems to know it.
We love this boy, even when he is a grump or challenges us with a bit of his temper.
We have no reports of bites, but he apparently tried to nip a stranger who reached over a fence to pet him.
Max is a Maltese, neutered male, just a year of age.
He is full of tremendous potential. In an experienced, adult-only home with a stable lifestyle routine, we know he will shine and learn good manners.
In many ways Max is already well-behaved. He enjoys other dogs and he is reportedly housetrained & crate-trained, and reasonably tolerant of being brushed and groomed. (Please plan on frequent, professional grooming care.)
Like so many others, Max needs patience and good guidance to realize his potential.
