With your help and patience I can learn to trust again.

Update: Abby was adopted on December 24th!

Abby
glows with good cheer and tremendous loving potential, and she yearns to make connections with gentle people.

But her soul is scarred, most likely due to abuse. She is terrified of quick movements and children, and reportedly may nip to warn a stranger away out of great fear.

Abby is a light-colored Golden Retriever, spayed female, about 2-3 years young, and reportedly housetrained. She is ready for adoption today into a special needs home.

Her emotional recovery needs to continue long after her adoption. A calm, experienced, adult-only owner (single person or couple) with a tender touch is needed to help her regain her trust in people.

It is a strict condition of Abby's adoption that she has no access to young children.

Please be very patient with her, understand her limitations, and she can reward you with infinite, unconditional love for the rest of her life.
