They did not even bring the van to a complete stop before throwing me out.

Update: Okee was adopted on September 28th!

Okee is an angelic youngster.

She is golden-hearted, with a cheery and easygoing nature, full of lovely smiles.

Okee is most likely an Australian Shepherd mix with dark brindle and white coloring. She is spayed and approximately one year of age.

One of our supporters was driving home near a large sporting complex and noticed a van slow down awkwardly. Then she saw a medium-size dog thrown into traffic, followed by the van screeching away.

She pulled over carefully and opened her back car door and successfully coaxed Okee to jump inside to safety.

Before bringing her to us the following day, she took Okee home and found that she is compatible with both cats and dogs.

Today, Okee debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA. She is a heavenly girl who should never experience cruel, dangerous rejection again.

Twinkie is the tiniest of dogs -- only 3 pounds! -- but he has enormous unconditional love to share with you.  He is a super cute, super sweet Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Another shelter asked us to rescue Twinkie because of his dental needs.  We had his teeth cleaned and he is now ready for a forever home.  An experienced home is required for his safety due to his exceptionally small size.

Anna Beanie Little Eric Michelle Nicholas Sisters Anna and Michelle , and their brothers Beanie , Little Eric , and Nicholas , are very affectionate babies who love giving you kisses. We rescued their pregnant mother, a Cocker Spaniel named Mary Poppins from a government-funded shelter.  She had reportedly been bred with a Scottish Terrier.  We placed Mary Poppins in a loving foster home and she gave birth to these five angels and raised them there. Mary Poppins is going to be adopted by her foster family.  Her puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Update 2: Jellybean was adopted on November 11th! Update: Licorice was adopted on November 9th! Licorice and Jellybean , brother and sister, are nicknamed " The Sweet Candy Puppies " due to their affectionate, adorable temperaments. They are most likely Retriever mixes and may grow to medium or large size. They are spayed/neutered, approximately 3 months of age, and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The Sweet Candy Puppies were rescued after being found abandoned on the streets. Jellybean was injured with a hairline fracture in her right rear leg. We had her leg treated and it had been bandaged and she was resting for nearly a month. She recovered beautifully. Licorice and Jellybean can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. They are terrific together!
