I will shine if you are very patient with me.

Update: Rexy was adopted on December 5th!

Rexy
arrived in our lobby just skin & bones. He weighed 44 pounds and only God knows when he had last had a decent meal.

A kind person saw him dodging traffic on a busy street (Sahara). She caught him and asked us to help him recover and get a fresh start.

Rexy had emotional challenges too. Within minutes it was clear he had never been properly socialized, and worse, he had been beaten and abused. We are sure that he never even learned to walk on a leash.

He is making slow, steady progress physically and emotionally.

He now weighs 52 pounds and needs to continue gaining weight in his new home.

Emotionally, he has periods of relaxing his soul and enjoying himself -- like when we took this portrait. But our staff still must carry him from room to room and his eyes search deep when he looks at people as he decides whether or not you intend him any more harm.

Rexy is a very handsome German Shepherd mix, approximately 2 years young.

He is now neutered and ready for adoption today.

Besides being experienced with dogs and having a gentle and patient touch, please be an exceptionally committed person (or couple) if you are to consider Rexy. He deserves a life of pampering and it is critical that no one ever fails him again.
